A new OFLC rating has popped up which suggests Sega might be looking to re-release the remake to the Dreamcast hit Sonic Adventure DX: Director’s Cut.

Sonics’ first true foray into 3D was released back on the Dreamcast way back in 1998 but the Director’s cut was released on the Gamecube and PC back in 2003. The Director’s cut included extra missions and unlockable Game Gear Sonic titles.

We are not sure what Sega has planned for Sonic Adventure DX. The rating states ‘Multi Platform’ which suggests this could be heading to more than one system. There are plenty of possibilities: A new play control release for the Wii, an Xbox Live Arcade release or maybe a small part of a new Sonic compilation.

I hope it's a PS3/360 game with a major upgrade in graphics. Maybe even a few extra levels.

Considering their track record with ports, it's lining up to be even worse than the original already >>
I saw this coming.

I don't want this to turn into a Pro-SADX/Anti-SADX argument, but IMO SADX was just as good as SA if not better.
I think he's talking about Sonic Genesis for GBA.
Sonic Team has made many ports. How am I supposed to tell what he is talking about?

Or he could be talking about the other ports that were faulty. SADX really wasn't a bad port.

Besides, Sega did ratings or something for Jet Grind Radio and Chu Chu Rocket, but I haven't heard anything else about it. This could easily not mean anything.

I have a feeling this is to see if it gets good rating so SEGA will know where to go with the next games. They ARE getting smarter after all.
Currently voicing Chris for SegaBridged's upcoming Sonic X Abridged series. Super stoked. Lots of talent in this group.

If that's the case, then PUHHRAAAAISE JESUS.
Quoted for the greatness of truth.

My opinion is this: I have a GC, SADX and SA2B. I have a Dreamcast, SA and SA2(10th Birthday Edition). Why the hell am I going to want to get another version, other than to boost an already over-inflated catalogue of games in my collection?

Good to be back
For goodness sake.

I'm gonna get one thing out of the way. I loved Sonic Adventure/ DX and SA2/B. But do we really need another one? What's the point in porting a game, then porting it again? If you ask me, SEGA should quit living in the past and do something different, despite what half of this fanbase says.

*sigh*

With that done, I will still look forward to this. Why? Because maybe SEGA will have this as the final product, not a glitch fest like SADX. And having said that, I will not have my hopes up.

Well if it comes with significant updates it would be great, if not I've always said they would be awesome on a handheld. Port them to PSP so you can play them on the Go!

@Enigma Sonic: I wouldn't know, that seems to be what nintendo fans love.

Now this is a way to get me to actually stop what Im doing to see if this is right. I mean damn.

Who knows, if they do add more, they could make the Chao Garden Online, and maybe downloadable characters. Or do what I figure they should do, remake both SA1 and 2, release it with new stuff and what not, then have a ultra win trailer for the next main game set for Sonics 20th anniversary.

Edit:
As in, after you beat both games it plays.
