Hydrocity Act 2 Posts: 101 Group: B Rank Adventurer Member #10,149 Joined: July 16, 2009	I just noticed in sonic undeground sonic,sonia and manic's mother is called queen aliena well it would mean that sonic sonia and manic's last name would be aliena,Now I don't know if they ment it to be like that or not but it is a wierd mystery to me,if sonic is atrully been called that all this time...

Sonic Underground is completely different from canon Sonic. 2. Aliena is their mother's first name and 3. Sonic has not been called that all this time, he's always been "The Hedgehog."

XDXDXD Only in Archie, everywhere else he's always just been Sonic. Not to hate on the comics or anything, but I'll never understand why they gave him such a horrible, unfitting name. IMO it doesn't suit him in the slightest. As for the topic, I believe it's already been mentioned but, Sonic, Manic and Sonia's names wouldn't have been followed by Aleena, since that's their mother's first name. If anything they would have inherited her surname, which is never mentioned. Or else they'd have taken the same name as their adoptive parents, since I believe it was their adopted folks who gave them their first names to begin with.

Aleena is, in Underground, the first name of their mother. So unless Aleena stated something like, "I'm Aleena Smith" or whatever, the last name was never stated in Underground. The only series I've seen that's given Sonic a full name was the Archie comics. Other than that, whether Sonic is a nickname or not or if he has a full name, the games have never stated it.

If I remember right, the scene when it's revealed involves everyone trying their best not to laugh their asses off - except Sonic, who's remembering why he stuck with his nickname. Could be wrong, though, it's been forever since I read that arc. Also, hey, it gives Tails a break. Although Miles Prower isn't quite as lulzworthy as Maurice Olgrive.

I think every hedgehog has a last name but isn't really revealed.
