I just got a XBox 360 Arcade! I traded in my PS3 and a few games for it. I got Gears of War 2 as my first game! Has anyone else done something like this? I bought it new but I didn't have enough money to get the warranty. It was $60! Is that a bad thing? Edited by Sonic CD, Jul 31 2009, 09:42 AM.

Err..the warranty on every new Xbox lasts 3 years. But yeah a wise decision, now you can enjoy a expanded library of games and truly some awesome exlusive. |

Ya, tt would have been a rip off if I sold a PS3 for a hand-held. So, I'm gonna try to save up for a used DS Original then. |

What does everybody see in the 360 now? And no, get a DS Lite at least. The DS Phat's touch screen is a bit off, making it a pain in the ass for games like Phantom Hourglass. |

I never used the original DS, but the normal DS Lite is pretty good. I'm not too into the DSi because of the lack of GBA slot... But I'm happy for you. Hope you have fun with it. |

Wow you really don't seem to know what you want do you ms? You seem to always ask others what you should get and buy anything that's hyped. Did you perhaps do this so you could play a new game because you couldn't afford one for ps3? |

Games are the same price between the 360 and PS3, Neo. It's just that the PS3 hasn't been very impressive with it's library of games. They're improving now (finally) but there are far more quality games on the 360 and plenty more third party games that play better on the 360. |

First of all if he wants a 360 that's his choice, I have no problem with it. I brought up what I said because of his past behavior and if you remember it then you would know why I made the assumption that he doesn't know what he wants. He asked people if he should get a 360 instead of a PS3 but at the same time defended the PS3 and even was fanboyish towards it. Just get what you want and DON'T let others decide for you, that's one of my peeves. Second of all I said the second part about him not able to get a game on his PS3 because you get more money for a PS3 hence the ability to get a 360 and a new game after he sold it. I've talked to him so I know he doesn't have money to buy every game he wants. Third of all that's such a load of crap, a big steaming pile that you just laid down there on the second half of your post. It's all opinion and you stating your opinion as fact just shows me you don't believe what you are saying otherwise you wouldn't need to justify it by using it as truth. Also finally I just saw that he got the Arcade model.  I feel very sad for him, he made the worst decision ever. He basically downgraded 10 fold it's about the same as going from a Gameboy Advance to a Dreamcast VMU. If he had gotten the Pro it would have been a decent deal, but he's stuck with a gimped out model where to get the same experience of a PS3 would need to upgrade it substantially.

I can personally attest to Metallix's last point. Though I'm still highly skewed towards the 360. PS3 has more built-in features than the 360, true, but most I don't even use. (Also doesn't help that the PS3 was a recent acquisition for my family, and we've only three games for it. But yeah, trading in a PS3 for a '360 Arcade model... bad move, bubba. Have fun starting from nils-ville. |
