Hello Fellow Sonic Fans!
Since this is a section for Sonic games, I've decided to create a section to showcase your ideas. With the increasing number of topics with the new ideas of Sonic Games, why not post those ideas in this thread for all to see. The benefit of this thread is that it never leaves the front page, everyone can see your idea, and you may brainstorm new ideas here together!

Sonic Velocity

What I would like to see in an upcoming Sonic game is one that combines a little bit of Unleashed and the original Adventure, with a few throwbacks to the classic Genesis games for good measure. First off all, let’s talk about characters. Sonic would be a definite pick of course. I mean, after all, he is the star of the series. Another character I would love to see would be everyone’s favorite two-tailed fox, Miles “Tails” Prower. I would also not mind Sat-AM characters like Sally and Bunnie making an appearance, although I'm not quite sure how they would fit into this.

Our favorite blue blur would have his usual array of the Spin Dash, Homing Attack, and the Light Speed Dash. Another maneuver I see him doing would be something called the "Ring Boost." Anybody who's watched the Sat-AM series, most likely knows how Sonic was able to use a 'Power Ring' to enhance his abilities. This is something I would like to see in an upcoming Sonic game. Perhaps, hidden among all the normal rings, would be a special Power Ring. This ring, when activated, would heighten all of Sonic's abilities-he would be faster, be able to jump higher, and his attacks would be stronger, among other things.

As for Tails, I can see him having Spin Dash, Propeller Flight, a Tail Swipe attack, and maybe even a more powerful version of the Dummy Ring attack from Heroes.. I would also like to see some stages that involve the young fox getting in the cockpit of the Tornado, ala the Sky Case Acts in Sonic Adventure. For these stages, a little homing mechanism would be very helpful for shooting down any aircraft Robotnik throws at Tails. Also, by accumulating rings, a bar would increase, and when it is filled up, the Tornado would be able to transform into the same type of plane it did in Adventure.

Both Sonic and Tails would have different levels. The basic levels would be similar to Unleashed's Daytime levels, having seamless transitions from sidescrolling parts to behind-the-back sections. Between levels would be adventure fields.

Sonic would also have optional racing levels, where he would have to try and defeat one of Robotnik's robots in a foot race. These levels would be longer and more challenging than his regular levels, and Metal Sonic would be the last one he competes against. It is through these kinds of levels that Sonic could gather the Chaos Emeralds and they would be obtained by having at least fifty rings upon finishing a stage, a throwback to the original Sonic the Hedgehog.

Tails' optional levels would be the Tornado ones mentioned above. Like Sonic, he would need to have at least fifty rings at the end of a level to get in, and would fly away with a Chaos Emerald, should he complete his objective. This objective would first involve him making his way through hordes of enemies, all on his way to take out one of Robotnik's airships.

For items, I can see the usual Invincibility, Speed Boost, and Shields. However, I would also like to see something along the lines of the Robotnik Item box found in Sonic 3. This box, when broken, would suck the rings right out of Sonic and Tails, or the characters would lose a life if they perchance had no rings at the time and were not under the effects of Invincibility.

To make things more challenging, one would not be able to know what items are in those capsules until they are broken. After a while a player will be able to figure it out, but the first few runs through levels might be cut a bit short.

As for the enemies, the classic style badniks with the little animals trapped inside them will suffice. These kinds of robots have not been in a home console Sonic game since adventures, and I think they are due for a reappearance. When an enemy is defeated, the animal controlling it pops out and they can be collected and used for Chao, which would also make a much needed reappearance.

For storyline, I would really like them to make Robotnik the main antagonist. The story would be straight forward, in which he would try one of his world conquering schemes, and Sonic, with help from Tails would have to foil it, of course. The final boss battle, unlockable after the Chaos Emeralds are collected as both playable characters, would involve Robotnik controlling a massive machine, complete with high defense, and power.

In conclusion, I basically would like to a see a Sonic game with a semi-retro feel, while still having several of the modern elements.

It could either be WiiWare or DSiWare and would have the same 2-D sprites like the classics but with 3-D cut-scenes.

Robotnik, now tired of being beaten has locked up all of Sonic's friends and sends an invitation for Sonic to try and save them...If he can!

Each zone contains four levels.

After you beat one of Sonic's friends, all of which have a mind control helmet strapped on, the helmet is destroyed and they join Sonic.

You'd start out in something like Green Hill Zone. At the end of the Zone you fight Tails (Now possesed by a helmet strapped to his head by Robotnik.

For then next level, a Retro City like zone you play as tails for the second and third level. The other two levels have you play as Sonic. At the end you fight Knuckles.

Someone at the city informs Sonic that he saw a rather round man in a flying machine head towards a large cave. You be Sonic for the first level, then Tails, then Knuckles, then Sonic. You fight Mighty as Knuckles and then Robotnik as Sonic.

Robotnik flees and Sonic and Co. follow.

They travel for days and go far North. You go through a snow level as Sonic, Knuckles, Mighty, and then Sonic.
Robotnik notices you following him and sends Shadow to fight you. Mighty fights Shadow. Even if you beat him Mighty still loses. Sonic beats Robotnik, then finishes of Shadow.

The team barely manages to catch up with Robotnik. He goes to his Lab and gets an upgrade to his hovercraft and then flies into space. Sonic and friends get to his Lab and find a missle which they all grab onto to follow him. The missle starts to go out of control and they get scattered.

They are now in the Cloud Zone. You play as Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, Shadow, then Sonic. They all meet up and find the missle, crashed in a cloud. They all get back on it, Knuckles gives it a good kick, and they all head off into space.

Espio attacks them. He is in a type of mech-suit with flying and laser capabilities. Tails will carry one person at a time, alternating to attack Espio, kind of like the final fight with Robotnik in the Marbel Garden Zone.

They land on Robotniks space station and all scatter to find him. You do one level as Sonic, Shadow, Espio, and Sonic again. Sonic finds Robotnik, who has captured all of his friends, and Amy with his new mech. Robotnik uses a bomb to blow up the space station. Sonic and Co. are left behind to crash into Earth While Robotnik flies down. You go through each level as one of the charachters. Robotnik used Chaos Emeralds to power his space ship. At the end of each of the character's level they find a chaos emerald.

Sonic goes super and fights robotnik. He's sent flying towards earth and Sonic and friends ride in his mech.

After you beat story mode you unlock the ability to play any level as any playable character.
