What's you favourite Game Boot Screen. Here is a video (not mine) showing alot of them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0858ClDkCVA My favourite bootscreen in the PS1 Boot Screen (even though I have only seen it though youtube) that sound is epic. Edit: Oh yeah Gamecube intro brings back memories. Edited by ShadFort360, Jul 2 2009, 07:06 AM.

The Dreamcast boot up screen is by far my favorite. That opening sound always gave me chills. The Playstation boot up is quite nostalgic to me also. The Sega CD opener had some pretty awesome music too. Edited by xHipAlbatross, Jul 1 2009, 06:03 PM.

I'd go with the PS1 just for the powerful sound. PS2 was good too, although futuristic. The original Xbox had a cool one too, but imo was overdone for a boot screen. |

It does look pretty awesome on a big, crisp display. I think they forgot the Japanese/European "Mega-CD" intro in that video. Edited by xHipAlbatross, Jul 1 2009, 08:39 PM.

I liked the GameCube one, the 360 one and I think I liked the N64 one I don't know why I liked it so much though. And yes 360 one on a big TV with crystal clear crispness = awesome! |

Yeah I like booting for quadruple the time it takes for a console to boot. Oh well, I guess being longer gives you more time to stare at it. ![]()
Really? You're the first one I've seen say that. I think the PS3 has a decent boot/tone, but I liked the PS2's better. Oh yeah... N64 with a Playstation sound boot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8qE7higP4k&feature=related Also an Apple OSX boot up with Playstation sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2VKvQ-1kdg&feature=related

I would say the xbox. Even if the sound wasn't my thing. I like the green atmosphere. And yeah, 360 have a nice entrance. But I can't really say I have any favourites, as I've never thought about that to much. But those are my closest alternatives. |

The orchestra has a very pleasing, relaxing sound, as does the tone when a game begins. The PS2 start up just grates on my nerves now with how much I've heard it. And it doesn't really sound like anything interesting, which is why I don't really appreciate it. |

Yeah, I can see why you would like the PS3 boot better. I think it would be cool if Sony let you pick the boot up screen that you wanted. Obviously when you started a game it would still say Playstation 3, but the part where it says Sony Computer Entertainment would be whatever you picked. Unnecessary, but would be a nice addition. |

I suppose so. I care a lot more about how good the startup sounds than what it looks like. Because whenever I start up a console, or a DVD player, or my laptop, I immediately get up and do something else while I wait for the boot to finish. Put away dishes...brush my teeth...put on my clothes... It takes forever for anything to start up nowadays, and I don't want that time to be wasted. So, I rarely watch the startup screen but I always hear the sound. And since I must hear the sound, I want it to be a really good one. Edited by Nail Strafer, Jul 2 2009, 05:25 PM.
