The whole game is mainly about Sega Period, with a few guests involved. You'll find more screen shots a few posts back and on the first page of this thread, with some video linkz.

It's beena while, but new stuff is happenin with Sega Brawlers Megamix. You can see it all through this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-GK2ELMrbw
I use update downloads for this now, so use the second link you see in the video to get it and unzip it into the data folder of the game, if you intend on playing this. I've also recently uploaded as new update to. If you download and unzip the first one, use this one next:
Update Patch2.zip - 0.21MB
^This one fixes I made to some grabs and attack boxes.

---------------------------------
In other news, I've released a video of a demo I released some time ago, but don't think I brought it up here. It's called Demon's Hand:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkAcFZqC11Y&feature=related
The Download Link is in the video description.

Me again folks. A whole new demo is now uploaded:

Data Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?w58dc0iuldp8v4n
Since I update this game frequently, keep this download somewhere, and when new updates come up, you can put the files in the data folder.

Pak Download:
http://www.mediafire.com/?6rribta7363qm7q
A single file of the game. I'm only uploading this in case people would like to play this on the Wii via Homebrew channel. Can't update with this though.

i have yet to play a demo due to my work schedule but this looks amazing and neatly done as well as i am in love with the character roster.

2 questions:

no criticism in this but why did you use the advance sprites for sonic and co.?

also, is your vectorman sprite from the first game?
and if so will he use techniques from both games or just the first?

other than that, nicely done and i cant wait to play this demo.
keep up the good work sir.

Glad to hear that son.

They were the best and up to date, and it also helps to have some skill(at all) with cut and paste edits(Not to mention all the other edits out there I may or may not find use in). If you look like the sprites for Vector and Omega though, you'll notice they were custom made without that style, but they were the best I could find.

Yeah, all of Vman's sprite are from the first game, but I plan on replacing them one day with my own rips of Vectorman2, and using more of his techniques then just his different shots.

Thanks, and I still am.
With that Being said, the next step is Arcade mode. Players will be able to choose which boss they face along with how many you can fight. PLaying alone, you can go 1-on-1 to 4-on-4 matches, teaming up with NPCs, and if other players are playing, then another boss or lesser enemies will spawn in the fight, making it up to 9-on-9/or over with enemies. Right now, I have a total of six bosses done: 2 from Streets of Rage, 2 from Golden Axe, 1 from Battletoads, and 1 from sonic. More new when the time comes, but here's some shots of Fang vs. Mech Knuckles(Couldn't find a good sheet of the one from Sonic R).

I make indie/video games myself, so naturally I was drawn to this topic, and I'm glad I was. This Mega Brawler seems mighty, mighty fine! I'm downloading the demo as I type this, so I'll edit the post with what I think once I've got to grips with it later on. The pictures seem awesome, can't wait to try it out. (=.

Yo Peeps, new download is up now, cop it here:
http://lavalit.com:8080/index.php/topic,2575.msg79011/topicseen.html#new

If you already have the game(which I posted a few posts back), you only need the Beta update patch in the link.

well...hmmm....you are kind of rite.
but, have you thought of making them look a bit more "genesis" like?
like basically recoloring and giving more shading?

really something to look into as its really fun to do.
if you cant though, thats cool because i like modern sonics look in advance.

also, any chance on making this compatible with a pc controller or is it going to be keyboard only?

lol, sorry for all the questions.

Not really. If I'm gonna use up any time editing sprites, it's gonna be my lame attempts at characters who don't have any (Yakuza, Jet set radio, Phantasy Star, etc.)..... I plan on practicing at some point but I'm always looking for people with the talent to do that.

OpenBOR is compatible with both, I know, I always use my PC controller for this or any other mods made with it. BTW, SBMM and most other OpenBOR mods are compatible for Wii also, via homebrew channel. Wiimotes included.

Most of this topic has been centered on Sega Brawlers Megamix, but recently I've announced a new title I'm working(which will be changed in the future), Pokemon Rumble 2D. Like Sega Brawlers, this will be a 4 player brawler game, only with pokemon. I have 8 done so far, and 2 more I wanna do before releasing a demo. Here's some screenshots from the game.
Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Once I get enough done, I also plan on adding a story mode to. If you wanna read more about this, check the thread posted at Lavalit:

Now that I have something to show off, I can update again. I decided to finish up Nack the Weasel before the next update:
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I had a thought just a while ago, and I think I may edit his shotgun into something that shoots a lazer and use that as his new special move, I just need to figure out how I'm gonna do it.

Anyway, after this, I plan to work on more adventure stages, and just update the characters from my old version to copy them to this one.

Alright, I've got the update patch 2 ready for Sega Brawlers Megamix. If you wanna try it out, be sure to get the data download first from the link below, and after unzipping that, download and unzip the first patch to it's data folder.
