I saw this a few years ago, the game demo seem kinda cool. I liked Sonic rush better (I see where they got the idea of the special stage returning). |

I object to your claims

I remember reading about this in a Nintendo Power magazine. I think it was more or less just a demo though. But it would be cool if it was released. |

Hrm, looks very simple. I'd definitely prefer Sonic Rush despite its bad taste in music, and as we know from pre-Dreamcast 3D games, controlling Sonic with just a D-pad is a little difficult. The touch screen, maybe...they'd have to get it pretty spot-on. I suppose there's a reason this got canceled. |

I believe that was a demo game when they first ported Sonic to DS. They were getting the feel of the system and all that. The game was very simple and involved using the stylus to run through a course to the goal, I believe I read. |

"I didn't use the whole thing ...."

When the DS was first released there were a number of tech demos on display to show what the machine could do, some of these made it into full games. so it could be that this was a very early design for Sonic Rush. (I only remembered this becasue there was a Pikachu tech demo that became the start screen of Pokemon Dash) |

Sandopolis Act 1

Look how simple and linear it is!! you're forced to rub the touch screen for the entire game to go faster and faster. That gives you very little button-pressing and zero turning. It's pretty much the same thing forever. Good scenery, though. |

Wasn't that just a showcase demo for SEGA's future game technology that you see in "Project Rub" and "Sonic Rush"? |

I thought the concept was bad even when it was first announced, I don't know how anyone could find this attractive. Of course Nintendo had everyone fooled with the "revolutionary gameplay" mindset that never materialized. I mean just moving the stylus back and forth over the touchscreen to make him move would be super boring. |

Hydrocity Act 1

Maybe if they changed how the game is played, it would've made something better. Maybe some sort of combination with the buttons and touchscreen? |
