Sorry, I can't help but laugh..

On a more grim note, I'm in agreement with the idea of an internal hemorrhage, specifically a cerebral one. Getting hit on the head is significant because if you're hit hard enough, a skull fracture can form, and blood will pool to it and clot, forming a subdural hematoma, which causes pressure to be exerted on the brain if not found and relieved immediately with the removal of the clot and drainage through surgery. A subdural might not necessarily be the main cause of death in itself, but it could cause a break in a blood vessel in the brain, prompting the cerebral hemorrhage. Sadly enough, a subdural hematoma operation to a neurosurgeon is much like removing an appendix for a general one. It's usually the first thing you learn and the easiest. Diagnosis would be accomplished through a battery of sensory tests and an X-ray, with either/or an MRI, CT scan and an angiography accompanying if necessary. If Billy was struck on the head, he should've sought medical attention instead of just going home. Odds are, his emergency department physician would've ordered imaging tests for his head and he would've been scheduled for immediate surgery, and he'd still be with us.

Bad thing is (maybe not) he would've had to wait on his hip replacement.
