All joking aside, that sucks! That would be scary to witness in person.

Jebus, that looks like something out of a movie. Can anybody say Godzilla?

What is the difference between a duck?

Godzilla = Japanese but that's besides the point.

That building looked poorly made, the support pillars looked to be too shalowly dug into the ground and the buildings side looked to bend like rubber... there is no way that would be up to code in the US or many other countries. Very very poor design.

Wow that would have been a scary sight to behold, but as Bowie said it doesn't look like the most secure of buildings and it's better off down than it was up.

But I'm sure there are more than the 10 or so around it.. So while one dangerous building is gone, there are still plenty more where that came from.

Better get some video cameras set up near there before the rest of the buildings collapse in the future. That could make one hell of a documentary. To paraphrase Metallix, You could call it: "Made in China: The pricy cost of cheap infrastructure".

Jokes aside (to paraphrase him again), this is serious business. I hope they do something about those buildings before something like another earthquake happens.

It sucks because China is such a huge place with such a bustling population things need to be rushed up. Things are not made to last like they used to be. So China's buildings suffer as a result and so do people's safety. It is SO important that they try and make buildings more structurally sound so as no tragedies occur.

Wow, it just seriously fell over perfectly on its side, not snapping in half or anything. How often do you see that? As Bowei said, the supports were definitely lacking in... support. They only seemed to go a few feet deep. This, coupled with substandard building materials, means those very similar buildings covering the area should watch out.
