There have been many amazing video games that have only gotten one or two games then mysteriously dissapeared. What games do you think should come back and surprise everyone with a sequal. I say it should be psychonauts. I bet a lot of you are going to say Kid Icarus...That would be fun to play on the Wii... (Man I don't know how to end a message...)

Edit:

Man, thats right! I forgot The World Ends With You (Hasn't even been a year so there may be hope!) And I agree with L, Pokemon stadium should have a direct seaqual! I didn't have red, blue, silver, or gold so I loved the first one because you could chose ANY pokemon although, there may be too many now...

Star fox had a game a couple years ago but I would like to see something exactly like the 64 version only with better graphics and more levels.

And...

PIKMIN!!!

Kid Icarus

Psychonauts

Rayman(actual Rayman game. Yes, they are three games for the 64 but we haven't got an actual, Rayman platformer though at all since then).

Pokemon Stadium

And that's all I can think of at the moment.

Though I do not have any games I'd particularly like to see a comeback of, I figured I'd anwer you.

Kid Icarus- I may be mistaken, but I BELEIVE Nintendo said they WERE making one.

Pokemon Stadium- They already DID. It's called Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Meh, that game wasn't so great me thinks. The attacks look nothing like their actual attacks and it got repetitive. I want to see a good game like Pokemon Stadium.

Who I'll be, nobody knows!

Where in the world are my sequels to Kameo, Conker, and Diddy Kong Racing sequels Rare? Stop twiddling your thumbs, screw Natal and whatever Microsoft has to say about it, and get to work on what we really want. Also, Super Magnetic Neo; totally unappreciated. It needs a Wii sequel pronto.

And while this series still continues, why hasn't Universal contacted Naughty Dog for anymore Crash games yet? The formula is simple: Crash 3 + extra levels/themes + HD graphics = Platformer Savior.

I believe.

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy. Sure, the story went gaga near the end, but all three endings left potential story routes for sequels and it'd be interesting for Quantic Dream to take one of them up.

Can't think of many, but right off the bat I would say Black. With a company like EA it's a real mystery why there wasn't a sequel. Uhh Jet Set Radio maybe? The World Ends With You, an actual Donkey Kong game that would follow up to the N64 version, Rocket Robot on Wheels, and that's all I can think of at the moment. I know there's tons more but I'm drawing a total blank :S.

Maria's latest art. Damn, I'm a proud user of this.

Not that I am here to ruin anything. But I found this very familiar to this thread. Game Comebacks. And it's also on the first page. :\

If there is a title I'd like to see in return. Shining Force of course. It's the best RP on genesis back around that time.

Weekly tune. Trans Siberian Orchestra - Wizards in Winter

Am I not the most versatile dragon that persistently haunts this forum like an never lasting plague. Fear not. As I'm all but a friendly airborne lizard who wished to see his friends safe and protected from the chaos that resides within the four walls of space.

Adventure at it's best. Read the Adventure Island as one of my best RP's out there.
In memory to the greatness of Sword and Shield. This is how I began my RP adventure. Have a read if your ever need in some cool adventure.

NO U!

Black was an awesome last gen game, looked amazing on the Xbox hardware.

I agree that Psychonauts deserves a sequel.. just not on the Wii. ^^

I would be saying Crackdown but it is getting a sequel..

And finally..

COME ON SEGA.... MAKE CHROMEHOUNDS 2, Get From Software's backside in gear and make it work. The original was a fun ride and the real-time war system/map was a nice addition to gaming. Plus big giant mech game is made of big giant amount of awesome. ^^

Diddy Kong is technically Nintendo rights, is it not? I don't know, I don't think Rare has it like they used to on the N64. Perfect Dark on 360 wasn't near as good as the 64 version. Maybe it's just nostalgia going into play...

Crash was good, but I found Jak and Daxter to be a much much better series. Naughty Dog is busy working on Uncharted now and I wouldn't have them go back to Jak unless they could work on both. Uncharted you just have to play to realize how great it is. It's not one of those boring generic shoot em ups, it has a rich story and a lot of platforming.

If High Impact Games proves they can fill ND's shoes with The Lost Frontier, I'd say let HIG just do Jak games from now on(PSP/PS3, whatever).

Quantic Dream are currently working on Heavy Rain for PS3. So I guess you can consider that a sequel... Well not really, but it's a new game from QD. :D

Back on-topic... Games that need a sequel(or one hit wonders...). Einhander from PS1, Blasto, Jersey Devil, War of the Monsters(THIS ONE I STRESS BIG TIME), Downhill Domination, Destruction Derby(I know, but there hasn't been one since PS2), Valkyria Chronicles, and Legend of Dragoon.

Diddy is a Nintendo character, however Nintendo allowed Rare to create and release the DS port regardless. I see no reason why Nintendo can't let them do a sequel.

And I agree that Rare has lost a bit of its wow factor, but I don't think they're a bad developer in the least. They can and still do make good games and have proven that well enough with the Viva Pinata sims and Nuts and Bolts, and as such I still have faith that if they ever get the chance to do these sequels, they'll be well worth the wait.

Also, I can't say anything about Jak or Uncharted as I haven't played both nor have any real desire to do so, so as a result I consider Crash 3 ND's magnum opus by default. Another Crash with the length, depth, variety, and humor as Crash 3, especially in comparison to the series' Universal releases, would do wonders for my soul.

alright, who's the wise guy who stole my avatar?
I heard nintendo was making a sequel to Kid Icarus, and they better. They already have a new look for pit, no excuse!

I also think they should make another Paper Mario. Those were awsome! especially the last one, because it wasn't a turn based RPG.

another game we also need is (dare I say it?) Sonic Adventure 3...
oh gods, I'm doing this again... >_>

Oh my god. I'm surpised no one has mentioned Contra. NO, CONTRA 4 DOES NOT COUNT! It's portable. :P

I mean a long, ass, Contra 4 on the 360, Ps3, and Wii, with the classic 8-bit graphics, that way they can use the other 4 gigs of space on the disc for their many, long, ass, levels. (Yes, there's a comma after long to emphasize my excitement.) :D

AND PUT IT ON A CD! NOT DLC! WE NON ONLINE GAMERS WANT SOME OF THE MAGIC! :smad:
Of course, 1080p graphics would be cool, and long as it's 2D.

3D Contra=NO!
We already have Halo, Gears, Resistance, Fallout, Left 4 Dead, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Call of Duty, and Crysis in circulation, WE DON'T NEED CONTRA ON THIS LIST! Fps's are overrated to the point of apocalypse, and have ruined the skills of game reviewers. >:(

Please, don't reply to Zak, it's a good idea, but it's just gonna start a ruckus that has started and ended in dozens, if not HUNDREDS, of topics.

... What? I liked the turn-based RPG formula. ]: I didn't like the last one as much as the other two games because they changed the gameplay. But I do agree with a Paper Mario sequel although personally, it's a bit too soon.

Also, I just remembered. Luigi's Mansion. Or we need to get some kickass title from Nintendo where Luigi is the star instead of Mario.

Super Mario RPG. If you know the names: Mallow and Geno, you know what I'm talking about. A sequel in the aftermath of the events in that game would be lovely. I will to say a more advanced yet simple RPG like this one, again. *snoes bubbles*

Actually Rare still have the rights to produce games for the DS but not for the Wii, Also all content that is now owned by Mircosoft must be removed, witch is why Conker and Banjo was removed from the DS remake.

I find it weird that Microsoft still allows them to make DS games, instead of focusing on the 360 which would benefit them more than them just trying to make the DS better than PSP. Rare still is good though, I didn't mean they sucked, I just liked them more on N64. Nintendo seems to allow more creative freedom than Microsoft(which fought with Bungie over creative freedom).

As for Jak/Uncharted, your loss I guess. I personally think Naughty Dog would be wasting their time with Crash. Imo, it's better to move on than making the same tired franchise forever(even if the games are decent/good).

Because they still own Rare which ultimately means that Microsoft is still getting some money out of it. Besides, Microsoft has nothing against Nintendo anyways; Many business competitors don't. With the securing of Rare, Microsoft and Nintendo have a viable link to each other and can make compromises as they tried to do with the GoldenEye and Donkey Kong Country fiasco before, yanno, Nintendo flipped them off.... Probably a bad example of cooperation between corporations, but you get my point. There's still things to gain. Business isn't a black and white endeavor of "You're my competitor, so let me kill you now grr!"

Wasting their time developing more games from a highly coveted platforming trilogy? That's like saying Nintendo would be wasting their time with Mario because he's old and they have Pikmin now. Besides, there's no reason why series can't be developed in conjunction with each other. If Universal not taken the rights, I wouldn't expect ND to outright trash the franchise just because it was older than Jak or Uncharted, especially when Crash 3 was so good and people had great respect and demand for the series. That's nonsense. xP
