Chapter I: Welcome to the Playground

A sixteen-year-old boy is sitting in the living room of his white and gray mansion, eating a cup of yogurt. His name is Zahri. If Zahri was walking in a regular place where people wore regular clothes, he would defiantly stand out. His dark silver hair covers his ears and forehead. He wears a long-sleeve black shirt and black and gray flannel pants that goes down to his midankle. He also wears weird wooden sandals. However, his eyes could be the weirdest part about Zahri. His gray eyes have darker gray lines under his eyes like he hasn't slept in days-wait, no-like he hasn't ever slept.

Zahri however is also different from most people.... aside from his clothes.

That's because he's a Guardian.

What is a Guardian? Well, a Guardian is someone who gets to own and make a world. They can also choose the theme of the world. For example, a person could make the world all dark and spooky themed or perhaps make it a happy and flowery themed planet. They can make stuff appear and disappear. They can even make it day or night forever(although most Guardians don't mess around with the day or night, seeing it messes up the time).

However, there's also a Guardian God who can remove your Guardian status anytime he/she wants. Nobody ever seen the Guardian God or where the person even is. The Guardian God can though remove your Guardian status and give it to somebody else and the new Guardian can do anything he/she wants with the former Guardian's planet. The Guardian God tends to do this when the person dislikes what the Guardian is doing.

What is Zahri's planet? Well, his planet is rather.... kiddish themed. It is not a regular place at all. He calls the planet 'The Playground.' The sky is light pink-ish during the day and the solid ground looks like somebody placed blocks everywhere next to each other because on random spots on the ground, they are random symbols, such as symbols such as clovers or hearts, numbers, or letters. People living on the world also tend to see pink bubbles floating in the air most of the time high above them. Aside from the colorful buildings, giant lolly pops seen in the distance, giant toys often seen around, and the cars that you see in the white streets that look like toy cars, you think things couldn't get any weirder, right? Well, wrong.

Zahri just threw his yogurt in his trash can and he looked out the window when the most bizarre thing happened.

He saw a kid, perhaps around his age, fall to the middle of the city along with clothes flying below him.

"What the devil?" Zahri reacted, leaving the house. His front door opened automatically for him without Zahri even touching it and Zahri continued walking outside. His front yard is surrounded by a spiky, black, tall fence with the front gate, like the door, opening automatically once Zahri was near it and then shut itself as Zahri left.

I better check out the scene, Zahri thought as he walked to the city which are pink and light blue buildings. Zahri eventually arrived at the spot where the kid should have landed and is surprised by the fact that he doesn't appear to be injured.

However, the kid is wearing nothing but boxers and a t-shirt.

"Hey, you, put some clothes on," Zahri shouted, walking toward the boy. He looks like around Zahri's age.

At first, he looked around and he appears to be dazed and confused but then realized he is wearing boxers and a T-shirt in the middle of a city.

"Gah," he says. Luckily, the clothes Zahri saw float down landed nearby so the boy quickly grabbed the clothes and put them on.

"So what is your name?" Zahri asked. He never seen a boy fall from the sky from before so he is curious. He doesn't look a threat though.

"My name is Lind Kai-" he then stopped. He took quick looks around and started panicking.

"Wait, where the hell am I?!? And how did I get here? I was just in my bedroom! And who the hell are you?!?" Lind asked, panicking. Zahri is confused but is trying to calm Lind down.

"Well, Lind Kai, you can call me Zahri. And you seem to be panicking. Why don't you chill down a bit and tell me the entire story? Take a deep breath and then begin," Zahri told him. It appears to have worked as Lind then stopped panicking and calmed down. He then took a deep breath.

"Okay, um, Zahri," Lind reacted. He must think Zahri is a rather weird name or something. "I was just sleeping in my bedroom moments ago when all the sudden, this weird box literally fell out of the sky and busted through my ceiling, waking the living daylights out of me. The box had the words "The Toy Box" on it and I was rather curious what was inside so I opened it and then, this may sound weird, but the box sucked me in with incredible force. It sucked me and my nearby clothes in and then I found myself falling and now, I find myself here."

"Ah, Lind....," Zahri reacted. "I'm sorry but I have absolutely no clue what this toy box is or how you got here."

"...." Lind sighed with frustration. He probably thought he was going to get at least some explanation for this. But sadly, Zahri really doesn't have a clue what was going on.

"But I might as well tell you where we both are! Lind, welcome to my planet, the Playground!"

Chapter II: Zahri the Guardian

"What do you mean your world?" Lind asked, confused. "This place belongs to you?"

Zahri sighed. I guess he has lots of explaining to do.

"Follow me," he said. "We'll both go to my house and I'll explain everything along the way."

Zahri then walked off, leaving Lind no choice but to follow him. They both walked on the decorated sidewalk however after seconds of walking, a yogurt shop that looks like a lemonade stand that kids make is on the sidewalk, selling all kids of flavors of yogurt.

"Yes, I'll have a strawberry-banana flavored yogurt," Zahri asked. Zahri turned to Lind. "Want some?"

Lind shook his head. This only annoyed Lind who wanted answers. Zahri sighed and the clerk handed Zahri the yogurt and he then gave the clerk a blue and pink dollar bill with Zahri's face on it. Zahri thanked the clerk and hei then grabbed a spoon which they had a stack in a cup on the stand and tore open the lid. He then took a bit out of his yogurt and Zahri and Lind continued walking.

"..." Lind is just watching Zahri eat his yogurt for a few seconds, obviously not telling him anything. "Zahri, anytime now?"

"Ah, yes. I almost forgot. Sorry, yogurt is so delicious."

"..."

"Anyway, this is my world that I created which I call 'The Playground.'"

"So wait, does that make you the god of this world?" Lind asked.

"Um, I guess you can say that," Zahri answered. He then explained Lind the Guardians and Lind mostly just asked questions that Zahri can answer. Zahri likes answering Lind's questions. It makes him feel like an expert and a genius.

"So wait, you're a Guardian?!?" Lind asked. Zahri felt like answering sarcastically. Lind obviously never heard of Guardians where he once was.

"Yep," Zahri simply answered. "Might as well go on. Anyway, a Guardian is someone who gets to own and make a world like I just told you. After my father died, I became a Guardian of his former world and now I manage the world. I then changed the world into something that suits me so I chose a playground, kiddy kind of place."

Zahri's father was a Guardian. However, around when Zahri was thirteen, the Guardian God didn't like Zahri's father's progress on his world and the Guardian God removed Zahri's father's Guardian status. Zahri's father reacted to the news angrily and he was very angry at the Guardian God. Out of anger and thinking he has nothing else to do now that he's a regular person, Zahri's father committed suicide, causing Zahri to live with his uncle. The Guardian God then chose Zahri as the next Guardian of the world for an unknown reason and Zahri, along with help from his nice uncle, soon changed the world and take care of it. His uncle later died of a fatal disease years later and now Zahri is still a Guardian of the world.

"Wait, how is that possible?" Lind asked.

"I guess you can say I asked the Guardian God to approve my theme of the world and he obviously approved," Zahri answered. Lind looks dumbstruck. Zahri forgot to tell him about the Guardian God. He then explained to Lind about the Guardian God. How he can

"So can anyone become a Guardian?" Lind asked as both are still walking to Zahri's house.

"It will be very hard. Only a special person can be one and only the Guardian God chooses. Plus, they are not much worlds out there in this part of the galaxy so even if you can be a Guardian, it may take a while for you to actually be a Guardian due to the lack of worlds open," Zahri answered. He's still not sure why he's even a Guardian. He wishes to ask the Guardian God why but nobody seems to know where he is obviously. Zahri continues to be a Guardian anyway despite not even knowing why he is one.

"Are there Guardians with planets all over the universe or just around where?" Lind then asked.

"So far, we only know they are Guardians and their planets in a quarter of the galaxy we're currently in, the Guardian Galaxy, but it's possible they could be other Guardians somewhere in the universe. However, since you never heard of Guardians, I doubt they are any on your planet at least." Zahri then finished the last of his yogurt and threw the cup and spoon away in a nearby trash can which is all white and light on the side lit up as soon as the trash hit the ground with the light disappeared seconds later.

"How big are the planets with Guardians? And how big is this one?" Lind asked yet another question.

"The planets can be any size really. However, most Guardians end up getting small planets and they are few Guardians out there with big planets. Sadly, the Playground is only slightly bigger then a regular moon." Zahri and Lind then appeared at Zahri's large, black fence. Zahri approached what-looks-like a big calculator near the fence gate. Zahri typed in a code and the fence opened. Zahri and Lind walked to the front door where small, red lasers scanned both of them. The lasers on Zahri turned green while the ones on Lind stayed red.

"Zahri, is this a visitor? Or maybe he's moving in with you?" the voice asked. It sounds like somebody in their fifties or maybe even sixties.

"He's moving in," Zahri answered. The lasers on Lind instantly turned green and the front doors then opened. The lasers then disappeared seconds later and Zahri and Lind went inside.

"Lind, welcome to my house," Zahri told him.
