Well, I doubt that thread to TC will make this useful. It's kinda in the shadows already. That's why, I decided to add my character template here for anyone to use as well.
Sure, it may not be the most detailed one, and I'm sure there could be added even more information about your character. However this is what I've made, somewhat I was inspired after reading Bliz Shadow's fan character. It's free to use.

General Information I

Name (Your character name of course.)
Nickname (Whether he have a different name, what normally is used by friends, etc.)
Age (Well this is self explained isn't it.)
Sex (Is it he/she.)
Species (Is he/she human, anthropology/animal, machine, apparition I think you know the drill.)
Appearance (This could be divide into several smaller categories. Let's name a few shall we.)
- /Height/Length
- Width
- Weight
- If human (Skin colour)/ If animal (Fur colour), etc.
- Hair colour
- Eye colour
- Clothes (Head, Chest/Back, Shoulders, Hands, Under garment, Ankles, Feet, Accessories (jewellery, belt, tattoos, piercings, clothe attachments))
- Picture or a detailed description on physical awareness.

Personality (What distinguish your character from others. Is he/she a lover, humorist, confident, selfish, brave, dumb, reckless and so on. One more thing, make sure you can actually act like the character, then you fulfil him/her at the most.)
Interests (Well what is your character interests. Is it hunting, soccer, chasing the lover. Try and be creative, like if your character is a wolf, he/she may prefer being outside at dark, watching the moon, etc.)

Background II

Background Story (This could be the most difficult one to make as unique and different then everyone else. Of course, it doesn't hurt if several characters, witness their parents being killed, abducted.

What could be useful before even starting. Make a tree. Yes, we all should know how to make a tree. And when I mean it, doesn't say it should look like a tree. Instead make a round circle, with character name as example.
From there, you should start adding events, like what happened in his childhood, how did he become such a known swordsman, how did he found his love, and more, as long your creativity is there.
A small hint though. No need for fan fiction. Just add just about enough information so we know what the character have experienced during his life.


Families (His family, or close relatives, considered for the title.)
Friends
Rivals/Enemies (Does he/she have a rival or a true nemesis who are willing to see your character die, or just in a competitive way.)
Family Heirloom (This is not that very often mentioned. But are your character inheritable something of value or importance from historical events, from your ancestors.)

Weapons & Abilities III

Passive Skills (Something that doesn't affect battle, but something to give him an possible advantage in ether defence or offence. It will always be there that is, whether he is battling countless foes, or resting in his/her bed.)
Active Skills (Well these skills will benefit in battle and will most likely only be used when the moment asks for it. Magic/buffs could be available, also creative minds can add something unique. Make sure to be careful though. A character shouldn't be overpowered though. Make sure to keep that in mind.)
Special Skills (This could be probably your best attack in your arsenal. Don't make em to many, and always come to mind there should be a slight weakness after used, drained stamina/energy/will and so on. Whatever you do, don't make it to powerful ether. We don't want to see someone making up an attack unable to defend against or dodge. What about the rival's success to retreat.)
Weapons (Create his arsenal of weaponry, or if he/she prefer one weapon. Also mention if the weapon, have beneficial additions, as long you don't cross the line, on what could be taken as advantage and godmoding.)
Weakness (Add all of the character's weakness down here. Make sure to balance your character as much you can. That will leave others to better accept your character in full person, even if it's a full sized dragon. Just make sure to be creative. All living things, should have one or more weaknesses. It's natural.)

Miscellaneous Information IV

Favourite Meal
Favourite Drink
Inventory (This could be where you add your vehicles, personally made or something that could add into your imagination. Several smaller categories could go in here. You may have to write a lot, if you have many assortment things to add.)

Other If there is anything else you'd like to add. I suppose creativity makes for the bits and pieces.

Other Forms V (This is made only for those who have characters with different appearances. Like shape-shifting etc. Make sure to add information about them as well.)

Other Information (Your choice on this one.)

Favourite Quotes VI (The final one that could come to my mind. Will he have any favourite quotes more used in one RP then another.)

Random Statistics VII If you so must use time on statistics, even if this won't make difference. Depend on character creator that is. Nevertheless, add your statistics, like strength, accuracy, defence, agility and whatever you can come up with.
