You see the little button at the bottom of the posts that conveniently says "Report"? It allows you to send an anonymous message to staff to let us know that someone is breaking a rule. If you don't use it, well guess what? It's very easy to assume that nothing is wrong and the members are acting with some sense. |

Yeah I know what the report button does, don't be condecsending, and it's not anonymous, the reportee's name shows up in the Report CP. You should probably encourage people to use it. If they are so pissed off at others for screwing up there RP a logical thing for them to do is report. Not talk shit back. And leave mods clueless. Don't you agree it'd be easier? EDIT!: If your using the RP Nobody's as a moderating group for the RP section would it be logical to assume that the GFX army should do the same for the art section, just a duck in the pond here. The message is anonymous in that a person reported doesn't know who did it or even know about it unless told. And yes, it would be easier, but there's only so much encouraging staff can do for members before they have to take the reigns themselves. Reporting is their responsibility, and if they don't do it for whatever reason then no amount of encouragement is going to make a difference. Now, this is all off topic. I want to get back to talking about the GFX Army. Them being moderators for the art section is actually a different idea, but the problem with that is how much of a problem has the art section become? We don't see a lot of anything come out of it nor have people complained about the way members are acting in it since I was first promoted. Moderators are born out of necessity first and foremost. Otherwise, we'd have staff for every single forum here. |

Well, I really can't see the moderation of the art section going anywhere. I've never seen any problems in the section, and it seems fine to me. Really what can you moderate in the art area? Closing and removing art topics in which there's disturbing pornographic artwork? Ensuring members are not flaming, but critiquing pieces of work? Making sure fan characters are in good taste (none for the lulz)? But really, have we ever had such a problem? I don't believe so. Out of all the art and fan character topics I've viewed, only recently have I seen people dissing a character instead of giving improvement (and the topic has been addressed already). I'm not really sure what could be implemented to keep the GFX army working. |

There really isn't anything to do now, BUT WHAT OF THE FUTURE? : O We can't really make any more skins cuz we already have a fudgeton... and I guess the only thing we have are awards... But oh well... I hate to sound clingy but... what about all the other work we have done? I can take blame and say I myself have done very little so if I should be power stripped so be it. But to all those who HAVE done work in the past, this is the reward they get and their rank among others stripped cuz there's no work? I think that's going a little overboard... Ok how does this sound... "Hey no one's causing any trouble around the boards... why the heck do we need admins? Or mods?" I dunno...

I say we keep that GFX Army. However we keep the ones that we can rely on. Now I'm not saying that the current ones aren't reliable, but when some kind of graphic is needed for the forums its We don't need a HUGE number of member in the GFX Army ranks, but a committed person(s) would be grand, maybe work as a team as well (not implying anything). Yeah, sure, we can rely on asking the members to do a graphic for us, but they may not be totally committed in making something premium unlike someone who is willing to add that little extra effort of spice. I don't know... and I'm through babbling on, ~TC |

If you want to give them a project, get them to do the awards I have been waiting for. I need some base awards and then names will need to be stuck in one the voting will be done. As soon as Sonic makes those things, I will continue them. I asked so many times for them to be made for me, but since no one has made them, we can't continue them at all. If the GFX wants to stay around, they need to help me there, seeing as that was a job for them that they have basically ignored. |

Are you telling me Sonic Blast has changed?? The democracy the place claims to have actually exists?? I vote no. The GFX are not tasked with enough work, Metallix has always hogged all the skinning tasks - and the most recent time in my memory he had a chance to let the GFX get involved was Oil Ocean - and to my knowledge, there was no GFX input on that. And whenever someone makes a request in the arts section, most of the time the GFX don't pick up on it until it's too late. Perhaps if the GFX were to remain, some sort of autotool could be constructed whereby upon posting a [Request] thread the members of the GFX are messaged, notifying them that someone needs help? After all, that's the secondary reason GFX join up and apart from sMy and Gale, I don't recall anyone ever really helping out on the board. |

Only when I work. But to address your idea, I don't think members can use Autotools. I'm browsing the options now and they're all moderator-based actions. But that would have been a good idea. However, I stand by my own proposal that our best course of action if the rank stays would be to completely revamp the requests forum so that the GFX members could easily handle it themselves. Now, I would like to go back a ways and address sMy's post. This is not a case of being ungrateful and in fact gratitude has nothing to do with it. This is about assessing the group's viability to SB's future which, unlike mods and admins which are staples of forum growth and stability, is looking like nil. There being no long-term workload is only part of it. The members themselves has stagnated; None of them are doing anything or even trying to manifest a workload for themselves, none of them. If their resumes were so important or if the future demand of the rank was as high as you imply, then why aren't they active now? Even two members of the rank have called the group unnecessary. What are we supposed to do with that? Again, this is not me being ungrateful, but this is me asking SB a serious question about a rank we probably don't need. Besides, ranks naturally come and go, something I can empathize with. My Sonic Newscasting rank was taken from me even though Sonic news would probably be coming in so long as this forum existed. But it wasn't because Metallix didn't care for my work; It was because it was unnecessary. |

Actually, everyone in the current GFX Army has done work in the past. Also, I wasn't aware of stuff in the artistic requests section being part of the GFX Army obligations. However, I think that the request section could certainly use a little shaping up. Perhaps if the joinable art group was revamped? |
