It could mean anything and I think it's too early to be MGS5. Heck why would it be called Metal Gear Solid 5? The Solid series is over, it'd be like Metal Gear Raiden or a different name.

Could we follow a new hero (not like Raiden in MGS2, god forbid)

Maybe a new Metal Gear. But the Metal Gear Solid series is over. But then again guys, they also said 2 was the last game but then they said 3 is the last game and then they said 4 is the last game so anything could happen.

Ok they might keep the Solid in the name just because they want to make money from an established name, but Solid Snake is done with. The E could simply just be referencing to E3.
