I was never good at anything Internet-related and I had no clue how to check text length and such... Speaking of which, I think something that could maybe help some of the more clueless members (like me XP) is to set some of those systems that don't allow a sig that's too over the limit be put up. I've been in other forums with these; whenever my sig was too big, it was indicated and I was not allowed to upload it, that way I'd have to change it. Maybe having one of those could help around here. And again, sorry for the inconvenience. I had o log off early on Sunday and didn't see this. Couldn't log in yesterday and my laptop hates me so I was only able to log in now on my dad's computer.

Should those who have standard screens allow the few who don't to have larger sigs, or should the few who have the larger screens in question be allowed to get away with it? Bowie makes a point that I agree with-- 1028 x 768 is more or less the universal standard, and if we're going off of reports then we'd be making an exception for three people or forcing hundreds of members to update their settings which isn't fair. @ Miracle: I've looked at the way we can set up sigs, and apparently the only thing we can control is whether or not they're allowed and the length. I would think that anything that more than a fourth of your screen size in length would be way too big, nothing that stretches the screen to be cool, and definately get rid of the spoiler in the sig thing, that I do believe is unfair. But now I have nothing for a sig and really I have no clue of what to put in there unless someone makes something for me, since I have nothing now and am afraid to reupload anything for fear of losing it again, which is unfair, since you should GIVE NOTICE to that member prior to deletion so they can defend their case or save their stuff. That is why I do not approve of what has been done here, since you gave the forum notice, but if someone was not on those days they had no chance. I was very busy this weekend so I had an excuse so sorry. I received no notice of this. That is my motion, if you are going to be nit picky and delete every little thing, please give the members some notice before THAT member has their work deleted.
	I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles. I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P So, let's see if you can outdo "The Jet Gamer"

Notifying people of their sig issue was already done before and people ignored her. Besides, does she really need to point out EVERYTHING that is wrong with your sig when the rules are already posted on this forum? Plus, your not realizing, she would have to notify many members about their sig issue and what not. Also, you being a mod, should understand that what she did was necessary. Lets have you notify every single member that broke sig rules and tell them what rule they broke and how to fix it. I'm not trying to jump at you, but people are quick to attack when something doesn't go their way. Honestly, its not her fault your sig was removed, its your own fault for breaking the sig rules in the first place. Instead of blaming others blame your self. Doing what she did actually helped many people load the pages faster. But you didn't think of that now did you? You only thought about yourself and why your sig was removed. regardless why it was done, you can't get it back so why complain about it? besides, she already explained why she did so several times in this thread. Yea, my sig was removed and I had some stuff in there that I can't get back. But its my fault cause I broke the rule. Simple as there. Stop complaining over it, it wont get you your sig back. I understand most of you are upset but its over and done with. It happen, she can't change it, and you can't get your sigs back. If you have ANY issues with the rules then take it up with Neo Metallix if your that ticked off about. And one last thing, she gave everyone ONE full day before she would remove sigs. And one seemed to care.

I understand exactly WHY the sigs were deleted, I just don't agree with HOW they were deleted. I was told in the past and apparently misinformed about my sig. I was told it was why by other staff members. Plus you could have given more than ONE DAY to do something, everyone might not be on for one day, I would have given at least three or four days till the purge happened. I find this rather unfair. This one day for everything rule of lets not talk about it and then just do it when everyone has not had their say so in things annoying.

I mean, even if you aren't I understand that not EVERY mod is going to agree upon choices that are to be made. I just thought you we're complaining cause it happened to you. I don't blame you if your angry. Heck I was extremely ticked cause I myself wasn't here for three days straight and come back to see my sig and avatar gone. I was thinking about expressing my agree until I read on why it was done and such. I mean, I even knew I broke a rule so in all fairness it was really my fault for breaking the rule in the first place. Either way, I thought complaining about wouldn't get my sig back. So instead, I took the high road and simply thanked her for doing so. Now, like I've stated before, I don't know what goes on behind stage so forgive me for stepping out of line, but I have spoken to Neo Metallix on things such as this, when the staff seem to randomly do things without ANYONE'S say in it. He spoke to me about it and we had a long talk and so forth. So, I suggest you speak with him about this. Why post about how angry you are when you can go right to the Boss Man himself. I actually recommend it. And, you can also state how you feel about this in the complainant thread, and trust me, you wont be alone there.

And I also thought Bliz gave everyone enough time and ample notification to make adjustments... but I guess that wasn't so for many.

Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	Considering the project was essentially taken from me and there's only so much turning my back on the complaints and screams from people that I can do before being surrounded, I have decided that it would be best if I weren't to delete another signature or avatar until the entire purge is done or someone suggests otherwise. It's only caused nothing but aggravation for every party involved and I've begun to deeply regret my decision.

Not to be rude but if they can't take the time to read the announcements that head the top of EVERY SECTION, it isn't your fault. People making sigs that aren't huge blockblisters shouldn't be too much of a challenge and organized action like this is better than renegade sporadic deletion of everything or different things at varying times with little to no explanation as to why.

I agree with you man. If you really look at all the people complaining, its really just that. They are complaining. And seeing as the staff DID agree upon this a whole somewhat, then there is no need to discuss this further I would think. It already happened, some sigs and avatars were removed,; people lost things they can't get back(including me,) and all the sigs that were deleted can't be brought back. Thats basically it. You know what I'd like, to hear someone complain about this that HASN'T have their sig removed or avatar. Why discuss this much further when nothing can be done about bringing back the sigs that were deleted? I think there is no point of continuing this conversation here. If you have a complaint about it then take it out in the complaint thread provide.

Most boards I've been on, in the past, didn't have rules on signatures and avatars [and if they did they didn't enforce the size]. What's premium is the ability to think . I'm rethinking on what you're doing. Bliz (or were doing, according your latest post above me). I was going to complain, but instead I knew it didn't matter as much as others portray it (plus I understood well that I broke the rules). So I give you encouragement: stand to the post you were given. The staff enforces the rules of the board, how strict they are about it depends on the person. Sheeshh, I think I'm having funny reading these rules, now. 8. ERRATA Messages and topics may be removed at any time and for any reason at the liberty of Sonic Blast and its designated moderators and administrators. I do agree with L in closing this topic. It's not a debate, it's a statement. This rule is being broken and is currently being enforced. Though I think this topic should stay open, simply for people to ask question about the rules in which Bliz is enforcing. Such as the one I'm about to ask: 3rd Signatures/Avatars Rule Signature image size must not exceed 250kb This is in total, yes? Or is it per every individual image? ~~~~~~~~~~ I'll leave this topic, for now, with this, and I'm sure some/many people would agree: It's one thing to wait for an entire page to load in seconds, which all of us like, am I right?. I was responsible and arrogantless (if that's a word ) enough to change my signature for other's convinience. It only took a few hours and suggestions from Bliz to see if it's good enough on her pc. I understand the people who arent active here with their complaints, but this is Sonic Blast, EVERYONE is active. It ain't her fault.
