Ok, this is an idea to get you crappy spriters, better at the thing you suck at. :> I'm not the best one on the board. But I might be in the top 6. With miki, Drav, Heaven demolisher, blaze, and quantum, and me(thats 6). But anyway, this will teach you on how you can edit quills, edit bangs, and clothes and stuff. Im putting in 7 teacher applications since all spriters have there unique ability and different ways. Principle: Valkus ( I started this topic btch) Teachers: 1.Rai-Character revamping 2.Dravien-Main shading and Design. 3.Neox-Custimization 4.Quantum-Quill editing. 5.Blaze2fire-Clothing. quills. 6. 7. I'm already thinking of 6..lawl. To become a teacher, you must PM your works or a sample, and I will grade them and see if you are worthy. The rest who aren't teachers and want to learn are students. This will be like high school. You will start out as a freshman. For each year you must do: Freshman: show us 5 sprites/samples of your work. Sophomore: Make a PA and show it to us teachers. Junior: make a sprite sheet of 20 poses at least and must get a A at the highest from all teachers, B- at the lowest. Senior: Make a animateable of the spritesheet you made and passed as a Junior and you must get a low B or High C to graduate. Graduate: Congrats, you are now a really better spriter, you are probally better or at our level of spriting. To be promoted to the next grade you will need to have these standards/grades from all 7 teachers and principal.: Freshman-You start out at this one. Sophomore:You must get 5 A's on each samples you post from all teachers. Junior: Get a B on your spritesheet from the 7 teachers and principle Seenior: Get a low B or high C on the spritesheet you made from all teachers. You may receive harsh crit. but for those who sign up, you must be willing to scrap some work you thought was great and redo it, this is a school for people who are willing to learn, maybe I'll learn a thing or two. ![:]](http://209.85.48.18/7050/0/0/e52/e52.gif)

First is a sprite, latter two is pixel art. Though the second one is actually an edit of an already existing sprite from Sonic Advance (2 or 3? Don't remember), it's still pixel art. Just my two cents. >.> |

I would like to learn too :3 Some examples of my crappy work:  I've tried to make some small animations too.... >_<  And this one is made (almost) completly from scratch...  And yeah, I've only tried to edit a pixelart once... but here it is >_<

Right now =D. JBH's: Half jack sprite: Pretty overall good for your firsta ttempt at spriting him, but it looks his physical and mental 'scary look', try to edit his eyes to make him seem like he's tired or high like he does in your artwork. He also lacks contrast in every area, and for the bandages, you can't really tell what they are. Tails PA edit: You can make PAs. That says something. The pants is good, but the head and shirt lack contrast, I couldnt really see the huge difference in its shading style. Half jack PA: Good, but the biggest problem with your stuff is probally propotion and contrast, you dont have enough of the contrast, and the hands look really wierd. Overall: C-74% Sniper: Sniper spritesheet: It's good, it has your characters look, but hair lacks the contrast and maybe you should add some glistening affects into her hair. Fully custom: Too stiff and skinny. PA:Ok, only thing I really like is the bangs and pants, but the bangs lack shading aand the pants doesnt have enough ceases. OVERALL: C-72% The rest put samples of your work here. Once all of you do, We will review them, and then teachers post there tuts. Then you post what you made from the tuts/you learned from them. |
