Flying Battery Act 2
|
I'm sick of people saying Shadow The Hedgehog sucked. It just didn't and was one of the best and had some of the best stages and gameplay out of every Sonic Team game! Here's EVERY retarded point disproved: 1: Hedgehogs shouldn't have guns: So - that is your opinion, your personal preference. It doesn't make the game any better or worse. That's like saying: "I hate soccer: so FIFA 09 sucked." 2: The graphics sucked: The graphics were better than in 'Heroes and no-one complained then. 3: No! The graphics in 'Heroes looked better because there were more CGI videos: That has nothing to do with the actual in-game graphics, and although there weren't as many CGI vids in Shadow TH, they actually had far, FAR better graphics than 'Heroes CGI. 4: The framerate was horrendous: That was only in the PS2 version, and even in there the framerate only dropped by anything at all in extremely heavy gunfire, which was rare and nowhere near enough to ruin the experience. 5: It was buggy: Now, this one seems to be some sort of urban myth - since I've being playing this game since 2005 and I've never experienced a single bug. In fact, Sonic Heroes' useless "Team Control" or whatever it's called system is infinitely more buggy. 6: People on your side attack you: Maybe it's because you're invading their territory and they don't know you're helping them. Any more stuff to throw at me? Post your hate. Or if you liked the game (Yay you!) post your support. :smad: |

Is it possible? *looks around* This kid earns one Internet for its epic win. Could the Sonic fandom possibly return to something good again? Anyway. It's true. You can see that a LOT of work was put into ShTH. |

I smell sarcasm from Eparhim there, but lets address the points you brought up. 1: Hedgehogs shouldn't have guns: This wasnt a main problem, the only problem is the guns were an add-on that wasnt needed, And in my personal experiance hardly ever used, they were more of a way to grab attention than any worthwhile addition to gameplay. 2: The graphics sucked: This statement is true, the graphics were blocky and ugly, and no where near the 'standard' of heros 3: No! The graphics in 'Heroes looked better because there were more CGI videos: What in the world has CGI got to do with anything, CGI does not make a game look better no matter how many you have. 4: The framerate was horrendous: The framerate was terible at times, slowing down to a crawl when the 'action' got intense. 5: It was buggy: I would call falling though platforms and walking through walls a bug yes, that would happen on more than one occasion. 6: People on your side attack you: This is your only point that I agreed on, but due to useless auto aiming system you normally attacked them as well. |

You win on the internet. I <3'd StH, it had a deep story, reasonably good gun system, and it just felt good. And when your chaos meter filled you just felt like the ultimate life form; all powerful. I admit the graphics could use a little work, but they weren't bad. Plus I loved the return of the option of being bad. Plus out of the horrible voice actors introduced in this game, I loved Espio's new voice. <3 Better than '06 and Heroes but not SA or SA2. Haven't played Unleashed ^_^; EDIT: Eevee you suck at detecting sarcasm, I know Ephy and he likes the game. Edited by Venoma3d, Apr 17 2009, 11:37 AM.

You won't get much closer, 'till you sacrifice it all.

I found Shadow The Hedgehog disappointing, but it did have it's pluses. 1: I liked this feature, made Shadow seem more...evil. 2: I disagree that the graphics were better than in Heroes. I think they were just about on the same level, although they each have a few flaws. 3: Although I agree with ShadowAndriod's statement, I don't agree that they were far better. I think there was only a little bit of difference between the CGI. 4: I owned the PS2 version of the game, and it was really horrendous. 5: I disagree with your statement. There were a quite lot of times when the game bugged out. 6: I found the fact that anyone attacks you was really annoying. I think that if you've selected the mission you want to do, the people you're trying to help shouldn't attack you. Two different forces against one hedgehog= not fun. |

Actually, no. No, a hedgehog with a gun is stupid. ...OK, I thought it was kinda funny. Whatever. But even beyond the guns (which really were pointless, given the homing attack you had), you still had the suckshit melee attacks and the slow-ass vehicles. Actually, I think the graphics are the same as heroes, considering they both run the exact same engine and use the exact same models. Nobody says that. There's lag in every version. I experienced several massive drops in framerate and I had the Gamecube version. Gotta admit, I have never experienced a single bug in this game. Or maybe it's because of shitty AI. |

it is way too cold for this

ILU DUDE. ShtH, despite the fact that the name looks like ShitH, is a cool game. I've never had problems with graphics since after Adventure (Knuckles's theme: $9001. Tails's ballerina act: $50000. Sonic's WHOA face: Priceless.). I don't give a crap about VAs anymore unless they're Sonia-like. I noticed nothing bad about the framerate. I've only experienced one bug in the entire game, and I've played through it well over twenty times. People on your side attacking you... Well, the Black Arms are mindless, robots are ordered to attack everything, and GUN isn't all that bright. Red + black = Black Arms. Shadow = red + black. Therefore, Shadow = Black Arms. Of course, whether or not a game is good depends on who's playing it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, doncha know. |

[/quote]The character models were the same, but the effects, lighting, and non-character stuff was different and better. AND somebody on the retarded SEGA FORUM did actually make that retarded statement about Heroes graphics. |

Finally, someone defends this game! I'll admit it wasn't the best game ever, but it sure was better than anyone of the negative fanbase says. You win ANOTHER internet.

One person using that argument doesn't mean you need to pull out your entire arsenal to debunk that argument. It's a stupid argument. Nobody thinks that except for the one person. And same engine means same effects, lighting, and everything else. Edited by Bob Beaky (Snooky), Apr 18 2009, 09:07 AM.

Debunking an opinion by saying your opinion is superior is the "rebuttal" that makes my blood boil the most, especially within a stance already loaded with contradictions, flaming, and facepalms in the first place. I wish I could further contribute to the topic, but unfortunately I actually can't say a whole lot about Shadow since my time with it was short. My Xbox died before I could complete it. But I do remember that it was indeed on par with Heroes in most areas, and as a result, I found the majority of the game incredibly dull and boring. It didn't live up to my own personal hype, and I'm not even sure I could finish it even if my Xbox had lived or if it's backwards compatible. Take that as you will. |
