Idea: Sega should have 2 teams. One for main franchise games, and another for spinoff games. That way the main franchise games aren't shite like Sonic 06 because they have more time to work on them, and while we're waiting for those, Sega can release the spinoff games from the second team :P I like it. Hopefully someone from Sega likes to browse random Sonic forums XD

Nah. If a team is larger, they won't need as much time to get something done because they have more hands on it. Splitting a team in half will just mean games either take longer, or released appearing even more unfinished.

I still can't use this.

Uhh...

They pretty much already do that.

THQ did the Advances and Battle, Dimps handles the Rush series (and to an extent the low-tier version of Unleashed), Backbone the Rivals, UGA the Riders series, SEGA the Mario and Sonic games, and BioWare Chronicles. Sonic Team has more or less been performing your suggestion for the past 11 years.

So yeah, read the end-game credits sometime.

Because staff made me do it. =P

You won't get much closer, 'till you sacrifice it all.
The above post has a VERY valid point. ^^

They have been doing this pratically all the time...so...um..do you think they need even more help? xD

I know. I'm talking about a permanent second team though.
And I don't mean to split the team, that's a terrible idea. I mean recruit a new one, I don't care how they do it :P

Again, why would they even need a second team if they already outsource everything in the first place? xP

While it is a good idea, Blizshadow made a good point that they already do that.

Also, Snooky, I'm sick of you flaming Sonic 06. Get over it. SEGA learned a lesson from that mistake a while ago. It was rushed because they were not given enough time to finish it.

I like the idea as well, but if it's already done, then there's no way it's going to change (unless they start making good games).

As long as Ray bashes Unleashed, I bash 06.

So, you think that two simple words can actually show a reason why you should have the right to flame it? :\ I don't like how Ray's acting either, but he's actually coming up with valid reasons for his point. You're just attacking a game for no damn reason.

Really? I am? Do I even need to explain what's wrong with this game? I thought you were smarter than that, but here goes:

  • Bad gameplay. It has no friction, the jumping is terrible, it is slow, and the speed sections are unbearably dodgy.
  • Terribly unrealistic physics, even for a video game, which is a strong point when that was one of their main marketing ploys. Gravity is non-existent at times and momentum and velocity are never taken into account. Doing almost anything besides running causes you to lose all speed.
And Sonic drops like a 2-ton boulder for some reason.
  • The character models, for a "next-gen" game, are terrible. They are for the most part expressionless, dull, low-resolution, and sometimes just look stupid. The animation is even worse. A prime example is Knuckles. Even in the CG cutscenes he looks like shit.
  • The story is terrible. I've seen one example of a person comparing it to a bad fanfic. And on that subject, it follows up on so many tired cliches it's unbearable. Example: Silver's backstory, Princess Elise, many more...
  • Too many contradictions. Not only does the story contradict itself constantly, pretty much every aspect of gameplay does. Example: Egg Wyvern boss fight. If Eggman's ship was in such imminent danger, how was that even possible?
  • Bad level design, one shining example being Aquatic Base. It feels completely copy+paste and is unbearably monotonous. Another is just about every speed section, they seem to like throwing obstacle after near-undodgable obstacle at you.
  • The voice acting. Nuff said.
  • The dialogue. The lines are terrible. Amy speaks in Tails' diction and Silver just sounds retarded. "Let's go talk to some people in the town!"
  • Wall jumping for Sonic is abysmal. Bad enough, IMO, to have its own list bullet. He never faces the right direction, he floats off the wall, and sometimes jumping off launches you into a pit.
  • Glitches up the ass. I could fill a book with all the glitches in this game.
  • Hub worlds are too big. Srsly. That wouldn't even be a problem if they weren't so fudgeing empty.
  • Vehicles. "OMG ROFFLE YOU JUST DO'NT LIEK SHOADOW!" They control like ass, thank you. Especially the motorcycle in Radical Train. One push of the control stick sends you veering off at a near 90* angle. I don't even know why they added this after the bad reception it got from Shadow.
  • Town missions. I don't know who's ass all of these retarded scenarios and all were pulled out of, but I sure as hell don't want to meet that person.
  • Silver. Why list him? He's a gimmick. Read the website.
  • Character boss fights. They were all terrible. Not to mention another glaring contradiction: Silver can pick you up when you're fighting him, but when you play as Silver, you can't pick anyone up.
  • Camera. I hate this camera. It is shit.[/reference I couldn't resist] The worst is while fighting the Egg Genesis. Most of the time you can't even see your character.
  • The last boss fight is so unepic it makes a snail crawling across a porch look like 300.
  • What is that retarded pose Sonic is doing during the loading screen? Just a thought.
  • From what I hear, the ending royally ripped off Kingdom Hearts, which I hear resulted in a law suit. Meaning: Sega couldn't even come up with a good ending by itself?
  • Load times. I almost forgot about those gems. One I counted lasted 22 seconds (I started recording off my TV at the time the load screen started, and the timer got to 0:22).
  • The characters are mutilated. Not one character in this game matches their personalities.
  • Why, in this day and age, does it send you back to the main menu after a game over? That mechanic died ages ago, even Sonic Adventure asked if you wanted to keep playing.
  • There is nothing next-gen about this game. This piece of shit could be on the Wii. The graphics certainly can't require much horse-power, the gameplay clearly doesn't require much to be calculated by the system, which makes this next point even worse:
  • Lag. There is so much fudgeing lag. Especially in Tropical Forest. This is the XBox fudgeing 360, why is there such a huge drop in framerate, especially when nothing is happening?

So, no damn reason? Ha. You're so smart, you have it all figured out.

"I didn't use the whole thing ...."
Snooky once again you fail to grasp the concept that someone presents to you.

The objection that was made was not weather or not sonic 06 was a good game, because all the points you listed are true and that the game is not good.

The objection was that you seem to use nearly every post you make to flame Sonic 06, that is what Radar found so annoying.

But this is way off topic for something that should have been over by now, so please you two (i'm talking to you too Radar) end it here.
