Black Fate; The Return of the Black Arms

Hydrocity Act 2 Posts: 111 Group: B-Rank Mobian Member #9,890 Joined: April 6, 2009 Gender: Female Favorite System: Game Cube Favorite Sonic Game: Sonic Riders	(Okay, I know you're all probably gonna beat me for starting a role play in the advanced section first thing, but it'll be good, I promise!) Sakura silently walks the halls of the GUN facility, quietly pondering to herself as her aqua green eyes passively watch the soldiers, scientists and other personnel move about the halls to, from and between their various jobs. As is said though, the blonde Hedgehog is passive in doing this. Her mind is on other things. She closes her eyes for a moment and remembers what was said when she spoke with the Commander who hired her for the job she's about to start. He's told her that people have been disappearing throughout Station Square and some neighbouring cities lately, and an unusual energy trace detected at the scene of which most of the people were last seen oddly has a match in their energy signature records of Black Arms. So there's a dilemma. Is there a possibility that the Black Arms have returned? Perhaps not all of them were destroyed when Shadow defeated Black Doom and destroyed the Black Comet... maybe there had been a few stragglers left on the planet to go into hiding and plot revenge. She also had the thought that perhaps the comet was only like a 'ship' for the Black Arms, and that more lived on a far away planet not known to earth Astronomers. Even so however, any Black Arms coming to earth from a possible home planet would have been detected entering the atmosphere... unless they had seriously good cloaking devices. However, with GUN's technologies in detection and so many other areas of defense, there was little to no chance of any of their cloaking devices being that great.It was more likely that if there were Black Arms about, they were just survivors from the previous bout looking to cause chaos. Sakura quietly leaves the GUN base and ponders over the info she's been given. "Well, first thing's first. If it IS Black Arms that nabbed those people, they wanted them for a reason. Maybe to use them as leverage or for ransom later, but they wanted them alive for some reason. It was too surgical and sneaky for anything otherwise..." She mutters in silent thought, deciding to find a good place to sit and have a drink so she could think more clearly. She goes into town and hits a small greasy spoon, just ordering some fries, a slice of Blue Velvet cake and a Vanilla Coke as she begins to look over the profiles of all the kidnapped people for similarities. "Hmm, they were all blood type O+... all young adults... may be more to this than I thought."

The man's bright brown eyes took a second to cross the photograph of whomever had been the most recent victim of the supposed abductions before turning his head pointedly away. Not that the man knew the details, he just knew that people had vanished. G.U.N. files? They're looking into the vanishings as well? Huh... he thought as he made his way over to another table, brushing brown bangs from his eyes and finishing his meal. Wonder what their theory on it is.

A human boy of about eighteen years of age carefully watched Sakura from several feet away, eyeing the G.U.N. documents. He had black hair and wore black jeans with a black tank-top. A large katana, almost as long as he was tall, was sheathed on his back. He was well aware of the disappearances, since he usually kept a check on any supernatural activity, particularly demons. However, he didn't think it was wise for her to be so openly looking at those files in a public environment. He stood up, walking over to where she sat. "Do you really think it's a good idea to be looking at those here?" he asked her coolly.

"That depends, why do you want to know?" She asks cautiously. Sakura has made many enemies in her years as a mercenary, and its not all that uncommon for said enemies to send someone assassins and bounty hunters after her. However, the fact that the white Hedgehog has come and spoken to her first like this relaxes her... but only a bit. She figures if he was hostile, he'd've already made a move without saying a word to her. That's when she takes notice of the Katana carrying young man approaching her. She eyes him carefully as he speaks to her and coolly replies, "I'm a traveler, I don't really have much other place TO look at them. Aside from that, why do you feel it your business anyway?" Sakura's really on edge now, perturbed at all the attention she's suddenly getting as she keeps an eye on the two before her, putting her laptop away. XD	"I feel it my business because I know what G.U.N.'s investigating right now, and I want to get to the bottom of it myself," the boy replied. "I don't carry this sword around for show, I'm a sort of specialist in fighting supernatural forces, and this qualifies. If the black arms actually have returned, then the planet would be at risk, and I'm not about to let that happen." he explained.

I cannot tell you how wrong you are...A paragraph is at least five to seven sentences. Venoma3D I'm not interested in RP'ing but since you're working in advanced the requirements are that you post a full paragraph every time you post so I'm gonna ask both ''otaku's'' to start writing more or this RP will be moved to beginners. If memory serves, it says that the advanced RP section needs at least one paragraph and to progress the story...I have been doing both, so don't tell me how to RP! "You may be a GUN agent, but I'm a mercenary. I work alone. Aside from that, I'm sure that the commander would have informed me if he was going to assign me a body guard. And you..." She turns to the young swordsman. "While I appreciate your valor and wish to help, I work alone as I said. I don't have any intention of risking others while I work. My methods are effective, but very dangerous. I and anyone else close to me could get wiped out at any time. My apologies." I've slain demons with this sword before, and I'm not sure that this is something that I cannot handle. "I'll say it again, I appreciate your wish to help me, but I work alone..." She states matter of factly, then turning her attention to a news report that flashes on the TV that's set into the restaurant wall nearby as she seems to hear something that catches her ear. The news report talks about the lastest disappearance: A popular vocal artist by the name of Sayuri. Sakura's eyes widen, almost as if fear has struck her in the heart like a sharp blade. "N-no..." She whispers to herself, then shakes her head as she tries to regain her composure. She slaps a few dollars on the table to pay for her meal as she looks to the others. "I'm sorry, but I must be going..." She says quickly and curtly before rushing out. "If those ****** hurt my sister, I swear I'll..." She mutters under her breath. (Be back in a bit guys, chores.) What's eating her?" The man said absently, Albino's accosting him notwithstanding. He grabbed a black leather jacket that had been draped over the seat he had been using and threw it on. If I didn't know better, I'd say whatever she's investigating has taken a personal turn. I've seen that sort of quick-change in demeanor before, he thought. "Gawd. Time makes fools of us all, eh?" he added congenially, before heading out himself. Ultimately, he was going to trail the mercenary until he could talk to her himself. She wasn't the only one who'd gained a personal stake in getting to the bottom of the disappearances, but she was the only one that had the resources he had noticed.

XD	Caleb watched Sakura's reaction to the news report and saw her run off. He drew his sword, running after her. Whatever happened, she seemed to have a close connection to whoever was captured was, and he planned to back her up, whether she liked it or not. He was light on his feet, and soon caught up with her, falling in step beside her. "Like it or not, I doubt this is something anyone can do themselves," he told her, getting ready to face whatever lay ahead.

She stops and turns to them, looking undeniably perturbed as she speaks, "All right, but you two had better understand two things first. One, we may have no idea what we're getting ourselves into and two, you'd better not get in my way. Now try and keep up, the news report said she was backstage at the concert hall when she vanished. I'm gonna see if I can find any trail of any kind from there." She says, the blonde Hedgehog continuing her stride along the concrete sidewalk with a determined demeanor.
