For a game that will have 256 players in one game, this has pretty good graphics! More info arriving at E3!![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a great interview about MAG which clarifies some things.

It's called M.A.G. It stands for Massive Action Game, but it also sounds short for Magnum which is obviously what they were going for. ![]() 256 players, 128 vs. 128 sounds awesome. Obviously it's not all a big deathmatch, it'd be too hectic. Everyone's in their own 8 man squad and that's all we know about the game so far. Here's an old trailer from last year if you want to see it. It's made by Zipper, the creators of the Socom: US Navy Seals series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5qf0vYbuk0 |

256 players. That sounds crazy. Do you know if it is going to be for 360? |

Sony owns Zipper, the developers, so it won't be for 360. |

Huh. That looks sweet. I remember hearing about this a while back. They must have some pretty fast servers to keep this running at a reasonable framerate...

Not possible, I don't think PSP could handle it. PSP games don't use dedicated servers from PSN and it requires lots of processing power. |

Just face it, guys. I am disappointed as well but it seems unlikely this game will be on another console. I really want to try this game out just because of the damn big multiplayer matches. |

That's icing on the cake for me. Why I'm interested in it is because Zipper has a good track record. The Socom series was one of the best and most popular shooters on PS2 and is still popular on PS3(despite having a horrible launch, it is now a stable and great game). I think the coolest thing about the pictures is the one where you see people parasailing out of planes. Those are all human controlled characters. ![]() |

Does it have a main story, like at all? Cause playing with 256 other players in a story mode would be kinda boring. If there is co-op at all. |

Nope, it's online only. Well it has just been confirmed that it is a FPS. I'm kind of disappointed that it isn't both FPS and TPS like Socom. Oh well. Also it is rumored that the name will be MAG: Shadow War. http://thatgamingsite.com/news/707/mag-confirmed-as-an-fps/ Edited by Neo Metallix, Apr 11 2009, 05:42 PM.
