Allow me to laugh out loud.
Are you basis against summoners? That summoners can not be capable of entering tournaments? I thought tournaments are for a diversity of characters to participate in series of battles.
It's like me saying that using a sword is not allowed in the tournament because it is a weapon, not your true power. In other words the weapons that you use are not yours it's their very own; isn't that somewhat related to outside help? : ]
If that is what you are saying than we should just fight with our bare hands and legs. Human figure or weapon is still consider outside help; your quote "Fight with your own strength!" does not seem to exist to many characters that have already be registered for the tournament.
Counter arguing; I just hope I am not getting anyone frustrated. : ]
Oh and what happen to tournaments where one person must be able to handle any circumstance from an opponent in order to reach to the top? I thought that is what tournaments are all about. In addition know that I am not like many characters in this site, Escudo has many weakness and strengths and one of them is that it requires him to summon a spirit in two turns. He CANNOT call one in just a simple post because we all know that summoners are powerful spirits. It takes Escudo one turn to prepare and another to call upon one.
Just letting you know because maybe that is the problem that you are having.

Equipment: None, she fights with her bare hands and uses the enviroment to her advantage.
Strengths: Cats eyes: Jenna can see much father in the dark than any normal creature. Hit and run: Jenna's normal fighting style means that her opponent normally never see's her coming. Agility: Jenna is faster than most normal creatures.
Weaknesses: Vulnerablility: Jenna does not wear armour, and is not very resiliant to attacks. Weak: Jenna's quick attacks will wear an opponent down over time but a single blow is not that powerful. Survival insticted: If the battle does not go in Jenna's favour, She will normally flee instead of finishing the fight.

Personality: On the shy side, Kind, not easily made angry (unless you hurt one of his friends or family), has a good sense of justice, and is pretty opionated.
Battle Psychology: Cautious at first, makes sure he knows what he's getting into. Is a little nervous at first but quickly becomes relaxed after the fight actually starts. Believes the term "better safe than sorry".
Skills:
Swordsman
Fly/glide- Can fly to evade attacks and ram into opponets
Electrify- Shoots an electric beam that stops his opponet from moving for 6 seconds and makes Leo a little bit stronger for 100 seconds.
Wind barrier- makes a gust of wind twice his height move up and blocks projectiles, sending them into the air. If it hits someone then it makes them go seven feet in the air.
Equipment: A sword that ties around his back and is carried onto the battle field.
Strengths: Can fight well without a sword, Can fly for thirty minutes straight, can throw sword 15 feet away making him faster and better at climbing.
Weaknesses: Is comparibly slower when carrying sword, Can't fight long range, Is more nervous thus making harder to focus when he dosn't know what to expect.

After careful consideration, I have decided on my character! Name: Gauge Gender: Male Age: 25 Species: Hedgehog Appearance:  Personality: Ever since an event where an Eggman creation killed his brother when he was only ten, Gauge now takes, even practice battles, as though his life was on the line. But outside of battle, he does have a friendly side. Battle Psychology: Gauge is highly strategic, often thinking of strategies to outmaneuver his opponents and then going for the kill when he sees the timing is right. Along with his electrokinesis and manipulation and control of Chaos Energy, he uses gadgets and devices he invented himself to efficiently battle. Skills: Electrokinesis Control over Chaos Energy Mental block (passive) Equipment: Chaos Gun- Uses the Chaos Energy in his own body as ammunition. Jet Shoes- By clicking his heels together, Gauge is able to take flight with his shoes which run on their own unending power source. But if he maxes out the energy output, he can reach a speed which completely obliterates the sound barrier, at the cost of said power source to be completely expended. Nanobots- By hitting the skull tattoo on his arm, nanobots within his body activate to increase the muscle mass in his body, mainly in his arms and legs. The increased muscle mass makes him about as strong as an echidna, and allows him to jump to great heights. The affects of the nanobots, however, last only sixty seconds before Gauge has to reactivate them. (Let's say 5-7 posts.) Strengths: Can absorb any reflected shots from his Chaos Gun back into his body, can use the environment to his advantage, fast reflexes Weaknesses: Water when he is electrically charged, takes every fight seriously, can have a short temper in battle If there is anything I need to change, tell me and I shall make changes according. Plus, I will state at the end of posts how many shots he has left in proportion to his Chaos Energy. EDIT: I have made most of the appropriate changes. The reason I haven't changed his Chaos skill is because it doesn't mention Chaos Control, it says ' Control over Chaos Energy', meaning he is able to use many Chaos attacks. He can use Chaos Control, but I swear on being a member of Organization XIII that I won't him warping at all. I will only have Gauge use his Chaos Gun and abilities like Chaos Spear and some original abilities. APPROVED

Name: Spin Gender: Male Age: 20 Species: Silver Monkey Appearance:  Personality: Spin is a happy-go-lucky guy who likes to go by his own rules. Whenever he spots a woman, he will irresistibly flirt with her and show off his yo-yo tricks. This of course can have negative consequences, for he can easily annoy most men around him. Battle Psychology: With the help of his yo-yo techniques, coupled with great close combat techniques, Spin is easily able to flow from long-range, to mid-range, to close-range fighting. And since each of his yo-yos are able to create small sonic blasts on impact, he is dangerous at any range. Whenever in a fight against someone of the opposite sex, his prebattle catch-phrase is, "When I win, you have to go out with me!" Skills: Unparalleled skill with yo-yos Hand-to-hand combat Equipment: Sonic Yo-Yos- 20 indestructible yo-yos which can create a small sonic blast on impact with whatever they hit. Strengths: Able to attack from many ranges, highly creative with his attacks, fast reflexes Weaknesses: Overconfidence, can only attack what his yo-yos can reach, women Additional Information: Able to use all twenty Sonic Yo-Yos by putting one on each of his fingers, and one on each of his toes. Only uses all twenty when he feels that his opponent can take his best. Otherwise, he only uses up to ten. If there is anything I need to change, tell me and I shall make changes according. There are some things that I cannot change about Spin without breaking his character, so if it isn't possible for him to be my new character from either of our stand-points, I will keep Gauge in the game. I feel that my request to change my character has gone unheard, and thought that I should give it another go. Bowie, TUC, or anyone else who took part in making the tournament, I ask that you look over my new character.

Actually, Sonniku, both Venny and I have seen it. I'm not sure what Bowie's opinion is, but my British colleague and I are agreed that your 'ten to twenty yo-yos' are breaking the equipment limit of four items. It's also VERY impractical, superhuman agility or no. To fit five yo-yos on one hand would be impossible due to their size, not to mention the fact that you would need incredible hand-eye co-ordination AND mental processing power to SUCCESSFULLY AND SKILFULLY manipulate such a number of loose items, each with their own flight paths, timing, wind resistance, strike and ricochet point and dozens of other chaotic variables. Sure, this is the land of fiction we're talking about, but this is kinda pushing the limits. Your previous character was much better and considerably more plausible, and I would recommend sticking with him.

Appearance: Looks like Sonic the hedgehog is a silver color has the Cyan circle on his hands like Silver! At the tip of his quills he has cyan! And wears goggles camo pants and a Cyan shirt on!
Personality: He doesn't ever give up he's strong willed! He has much faith in himself and you might call him a professional bragger! When he loses to his Rivals he will ask for a re-match ( If he can ) And keep doing so until he has won or can't battle anymore!
Battle Psychology: He likes to keep his distance because he has ESP! He prefers to Throw his opponent into a wall of bring him closer so he can do some Close Combat!
Skills: 1. He has ESP 2. He can use his ESP to go faster and to fly 3. He has a shield attack that blocks and throws all items and character (only for a limited time though)! 4. he can use his ESp to block himself from his opponents vision for a limited time!
Equipment: 1. Boots that when he channels his ESP through them spikes come out 2. Gloves that let him stick to any surface! 3. His shoes and gloves have got stuff in them to make them Silent when he walks around and climbs!
Strengths: 1. He has ESP so he can dodge attacks better 2. He is conservitated with his energy he will not attack until it will do moderate damage. 3. He is very resorceful
Weaknesses: 1. He is helpless without his ESP 2. Since he's a 13 year old kid he take as much damage as most 3. He's afraid of Fire.

Beta Ray: Hey, what's the problem? External aid is against the rules, you know that. The fighter must battle with his/her own strength, otherwise it's hardly a test of personal mettle, yeah? Besides, most of the characters I've seen you use are way better; why go backwards? Well TUC, I had all my character profiles stored on Word and they were accidentally deleted. After still not being able to find them after searching through pages and pages on =SB=, I decided to create a new one.
Anyway, unless my counting skills are off there should be a few spots left and I'd like to enter my newest character:

Appearance: Komandi is a grey fox, with blue eyes and a mostly red outfit. His jacket is red and contains many pockets that are opened and closed using zippers. His pants are the same, with a hole in the back for his tail (Which is white on the end) to stick out. He wears a black, sleeveless shirt underneath the jacket. His shoes are yellow and black.
Komandi carries around a red, one and a half foot long staff with a small brown wizard's hat attached to the top.
Personality: Komandi is not very talkative, preferring to let others do the talking. But don't be mistaken, he's not unfriendly. He enjoys challenging those he considers worthy opponents and thought a tournament would be the best place to test his might.
Battle Psychology: Komandi uses Magic to fight his foes from a distance.
Skills:
-Blizzara: Casts Ice magic. Can be used to conjure up to three ice crystals to launch at the opponent or even freeze small sections of the ground, making them slippery.
-Thundara: Cast Lightning magic. Causes a small storm cloud to appear and rain down lightning bolts on the opponent. The opponent is given a little time dodge, as there's about 3 seconds between the cloud's appearance and the lightning. Can somewhat hard to dodge if Gravira has already been cast on them.
-Gravira: Casts Gravity magic on the opponent, making them heavier and slower. Reduces their running speed as well as their ability to dodge.
-Reflega: Casts Reflect magic. It requires split-second timing, but when pulled off correctly sends the force of his opponents attack back at them.
Equipment:
-Mage's Staff: A red, one and a half foot long staff with a small brown wizard's hat attached to the top. It is used for casting spells.
-Ether (x 2): A small, blue cube that is used to restore magic. Komandi can use from 10 to 12 spells before he needs to use one.
Strengths:
-Excels at long range combat.
-Is agile, and good at dodging ranged attacks.
-Can come with good strategies.
Weaknesses:
-Without his staff, his spells are very weak.
-When he runs out of magic, he can only whack people with his staff.
-Not very good at close range combat.

Name: Lord Adokas
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Species: Opossum
Appearance: Lord Adokas stands tall at 4 foot 2 inches, slightly above average for his race. He wears a full suit of armour with an open-face helmet, and on his back is a dual rocket pack. His armour is pointed and jagged in places, emphasising the vulgarity of his power and disciplinary measure. The armour is a deep purple in hue, with a slight sparkle to it; almost artificial to behold. There are no scratches on the armour at all, but the bottom of the rocket pack is scorched from multiple usage. He has a sword about his person, usually mounted on either his back or on his right hip, and is very exaggerated in its form - imagine a squashed and deformed diamond, with a hilt at one elongated point, and the inside edges curving towards each tip. In the center of the blade is a series of perfectly formed circles, starting small, then going big before finally ending up small once again. It is made of a fantastically luminous material, dazzling in all light conditions. In fact, some might say the sword even looks like it's brimming to burst, as though overflowing with energy...
Personality: Cold, dark, evil. But I guess you the humble reader would like a bit more of an elaboration on this, huh? Well, put simply, Lord Adokas has an agenda - it's private and not a soul understands that it's simply petty revenge that motivates him. He wishes death upon all the "kind souls" in the 'verse, and ain't nobody going to stop him. Whether burning crops or slicing people in two with a burst from his sword, there is nothing Adokas will refrain from, in order to bring chaos to the world. Only once the world resembles his inner turmoil, will he relax and enjoy the havok he's created.
Battle Psychology: Adokas enjoys tying with his opponents, letting them believe they have the upper hand before unleashing a furious flurry of blows or engaging in a hit and run attack. He enjoys the psychological aspect of fighting, and will happily build his foe up for a big fall, and gloat over their broken body before administering the final blow. Having been in a fair few fights before, he is well versed with various tactics employed against him and will often dance about aimlessly to see what his opponent will do next.
Skills: - Cannonball slash - charging up his rocket pack Adokas will launch himself towards an opponent, spinning violently and quickly in a straight line towards his eventual destination. He plants the hilt of his sword into his chest plating and goes for it. The downside to this is a minor disorientation, which he tries to counter by hovering momentarily in the air to clear his senses - leaving him vulnerable to a counter-attack. Or is he?
- Charging thrust - rather imaginatively, Adokas fires up his rocket pack and charges in a straight line - aiming to not slice, but pierce his target point. Not as fast as the cannonball slash, and thus more dodgable. But he can suddenly spring into it, needing less preparation time and thus might have the element of surprise...
- Hailstorm - deceptive in its name, Adokas raises a hand to the heavens and calls upon every single cloud he can muster. They all gather up and darken the skies, serving to act as a camoflague for the dark-suited one. As long as there's no wind, it'll stay around for a good while too. Doesn't actually deal ANY damage whatsoever, but does allow Adokas to effectively become invisible. Takes a whole turn to muster, and can fly or dodge but cannot attack. If he is interrupted during his incantation, he must begin again.
- Outroar - throwing both hands out violently, Adokas makes a brief incantation - a burst of light and noise pours forth from his location. He basically becomes a flash grenade. His armour insulates him from suffering any ill effects of this, but the range is extremely limited - Adokas must be within touching distance of his opponent! But should this be successful, his opponent will be both blinded AND deafened temporarily. If the attack should miss, Adokas' defences would be majorly down and ripe for a counter-attack that the opossum wouldn't like...
Equipment:- Magical Suit of Armour - imbued with dark magics during its original forging, the armour is lighter than a feather and as strong as several inch plate steel. This armour allows Adokas to withstand terrible blows and soar to great heights. However - and this is a big however - it has a limit to its power, and can power either speed("light") or durability("heavy"). If he's in mid-flight, there's no magic left over to prevent him from coming to harm! Likewise if he's set his armour to tank the damage, he can't use the rocket packs to fly off as he'll be too heavy, and his normal attacks will be slowed down too. Also as it's magical armour it is slightly stronger defending against magic, but enormously weak against lightning. As a final point, he also cannot change "mode" willy-nilly. He has to utter a brief incantation for the suit to alter its magical distribution. This limits changes to one per turn.
- Magical Sword - This sword was bathed in good magical energies upon its forging, and hates its current wielder with a passion. It especially dislikes the uses it is put through. Not only can it be used as a melee weapon, at a range it can also fire off a burst of raw energy, spinning and spiralling very quickly towards its target. It travels slower than a bullet, but not by much! The energy bolt hits for explosive damage, as opposed to slicing and dicing, and as it has a explosion area of about 3 meters, Adokas will never use it at point blank range - as it's magical, it would bypass his armour - explosive damage being the main weakness his armour has, magically at least. It is attached to his armour via a chain, tucked inside his armour. Should he drop the sword for whatever reason, it can be retracted via the chain. This also doubles in allowing him to use it as sword-chucks...
- Rocket Pack - unusual in that it isn't magical, but the oils that power it are. It never needs refuelling as once burnt up, the oil regenerates itself. However the fuel reserve inside it is minimal at best. Adokas can fly for very short periods of time - even shorter if his pack is fully charged and primed for an attack run at full speed. Dependant on purpose and velocity, the pack will last for one or two turns before needing to pause for a turn to recharge. It cannot pick up weight other than Adokas, his sword and the armour in "light" mode so can't be used to lift people around.
Strengths:- As mentioned before, Adokas is an excellent tactician and will bide his time reading a situation before reacting.
- Has encountered a vast number of fighting styles and can adapt his own fighting style to cope with just about any eventuality.
- Can keep extremely calm and collected at all times. Hell, if he's losing so what? He's already lost it all, got nothing else to lose.
Weaknesses:- Is actually pretty weak without the sword, and in "light" mode can't really punch for shit...
- Stamina-wise is lacking, and can't move very fast when in "heavy" mode. He's very reliant on his magical items to get him through the fight.
- Can be too eager to play games with people's heads, being incredibly lax sometimes and then being caught unawares by that sudden backflip going into a roundhouse kick... or so on.

I messed around with Specs a bit. I need a re-appproval. I promise not to edit him again.

Spoiler: click to toggle Name: Specs Gender: Male Age: 19 Species: Koopa (Paratroop trained in the fields of Thunder Lakitu and Hammer Bros) Appearance: Black boxers worn under a blue spiked shell with white paratroopa wings. Thick glasses are worn over his eyes as well prescription goggles, which hangs around the neck. Wears blue shoes. Personality: Playfully joyful, no matter the situation this Koopa happily smiles. Battle Psychology: Hand-to-hand Combat is an ability he lacks. Aerial assaults is his specialty, but with the lack of high number of projectiles he uses his own body to attack opponents (thus bring him in close range). He's got training it using his hammer as handle weapon, as well as a projectile. His hammer is his sword and his shell is his shield. Any other weaponry he gets his hands one are used as a defensive item or a throwing projectile, even if it isn't meant to be thrown or uses for defensive reasons. Skills:
- Swipe. Using his wing, or a cape, Specs is able to deflect a moving projectile back at the opponent. High velocity projectiles such as: Bullets, Arrows, etc. are NOT able to be deflected by this attack. Attacking the opponent with this move was the potential in changing their direction.
- Bouncing Smash. In mid-air Specs rapidly descends diagonally. He makes impact with his feet. Ending in a crouch he'll use his position and his wings to push himself airborne again. He's unpredictable with this move as he tends to lightly jump around while battling. (Can be considered as a flying kick in a downward direction, but he simply follows through by returning back into the air.)
- Mute. No damage is dealt here. Muttering words, to activate the magic within his hammer, Specs swings his hammer in an "X" shape. This X becomes visible as an outline and it launched at the opponent. If hit this attack LITERALLY silences the target from speaking. This magic attack blocks the opponent from their elemental enhancements/powers/attacks for small period of time. (This can pose problems for characters who suffer from heavy breathing.)
- Homing Shell. Removing himself from his shell he mutters a few wors to released the magic that enchants his hammer. He hits the shell with his hammer, at his opponents general direction. The shell is subjected to a magically spell that locks-on to the intended target and won't stop pursuing it until it target get it or if it impacts an object/wall. Without wings the shell's turns are wide. If the paratroopa's wings are still intact the shell goes airborne and can turn very sharply, making it difficult to shake off. If any barrier is active it will break it (like using Brick Break on a Pokemon who activated Barrier), and stop it's pursuit. The shell, after an impact, will race back to it's previous wearer.
Equipment:
- Feather. Just in case we loses his wings he can quickly grow them back, or he can become a Super/caped Koopa. He carries three of these within his shell.
- Masher. Hammer Brothers insignia brand is labeled into the hammer. Claw Hammer Design. The hammers handle that's made of durable steel that's able to block sword strikes. This hammer's been enchanted with magikoopa spells that activate when the correct words are muttered. These spells do nothing in the physical department, but are used for stats inducing (Mute and Homing Shell).
- Blue Spiked Paratroopa Shell. This tough armor can be used as an offensive weapon.
Strengths:
- High Ranked Shell. Spikes on a koopa shell indicate that this koopa was a former boss of a castle. This shell is quite sturdy and is said to be indestructible. The spikes on the back of the shell give it an advantage in defense as it can potentially harm the opponent in return. In need of rest Specs can withdraw into his shell, it's got good protection. Wearing this shell connects the wearer to the armor, therefore damage is still felt to the wearer.
- Aerial Advantage. His large wings enable Specs to use them as an extension of his arms, being able to attack a bit farther than his hammer swings. But their main purpose is for flight. Being in the air, with good prediction, can easily create high evasion. Using a cape, he has less advantage as he flies, like Mario and Luigi, forward, but he's still able to perform his aerial assaults.
- Koopa Troopa Trained. He's extremely flexible with changing situations. He knows how to fight in and out of his shell. He's got extensive knowledge in all forms of combat and defense taught by the Koopa Troop.
Weaknesses:
- Shell Weakness. When Specs is without his shell his defenses drop drastically, however his agility and evasiveness will rise. With his shell on he doesn't evade well, without his wings. Regardless of being in or out of his shell if he's lands on his back, it's trouble for him. He does not have a ground fighting knowledge[/i].
- Elemental Resistance. He has small resistance to thunder as he trained as a Thunder Lakitu. However there's one thing that sucks and that's being attacked with elemental damage and have low resistance to it. Even though Thunder Lakitu's handle fire with ease, it's Specs' ultimate weakness. (Fire base looking attacks will intimidate Specs and causes the next weakness to show up.) Fire scares Specs. Bowser's surviving minions mention how fireballs, thrown by Mario, are well know to take down even the most prepared of Koopas.
- Pressure the Playfulness. He rarely takes ANYTHING seriously. If you're shooting him with bullets, yeah he'll freak out, but he'll get a laugh. Eventually he'll slip up under the pressure and that period of time, that small opening, is your time to strike as he is unprepared. If you get him serious in fighting you'll also get another advantage as he'll want to attack you in close range, with his poor fight style.
