Sonic Blast Grand Tournament 3 Brought to you by Bowie, TUC, and Venny Don't push and don't shove. Remember everyone that we are trying for even brackets of 16-32 contestants here, we can hopefully shoot for more but only time can tell that case. We will take apps in phases, starting with the first 16 complete applications. If enough interest exists beyond that then we can increase to 32 and so on. This way we can avoid disappointing someone by cutting them from the bracket. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You notice a power pole, tacked to it is a stack of interestingly designed papers. Upon further inspection you find out it is for a competition, a test of strength, will, and skill. You take one and think about filling it out and arriving for the occasion, after all you love fighting, or are doing it because you feel you have to... Fill in completely kind sirs and madams Name: ~This should be self-explanatory Gender: ~Boy this was embarrassing in Tourney 1 *facepalms*… This REALLY should have been in earlier. Age: ~Age will affect your abilities. If you're 6, don't expect to be the world's most intelligent being. Likewise, if you're pushing 80 you're not going to move too quickly. Species: ~This again limits your abilities to a degree. Bats can fly, echidnas are strong (for the most part) and can dig, bunnies can jump high... be creative, but reasonable (after all, not all hedgehogs are speedsters y’know). Appearance: ~What sort of clothing is your character wearing? What colour fur do they have? Wherabouts does their weaponry sit on their person? (A good picture can also suffice.) Personality: ~Are they easily wound up? Do they keep calm under pressure? What makes 'em happy? World’s your oyster here. Battle Psychology: ~Your character’s tactics or lack thereof; generally speaking, how do they fight? Do they keep their distance or do they prefer the adrenal surge of melee combat? Are they a defensive opportunity-seeker or are they a berserker who just keeps hacking away at all times? Do they use sneaky tricks or flamboyant feats of swashbuckling? Keep it brief; a basic idea is good enough. Skills: ~You may have up to four skills and/or moves. To clarify; whereas skills are passive enhancements and… well… skills, moves are active actions/attacks that are pre-set, that once executed take off that little bit more damage (or perhaps have other effects that aren’t damage-dealing…). Example, you could be a great swordsman, and then create three awesome moves. Again, try to be creative here; fireballs may be fun, but they’re done to death. ![]() Equipment: ~Up to three items may be carried into the arena. How many you can use inside isn't limited - this includes stealing your opponents(you don't get to keep them for the next round, however). This includes weaponry. As far as guns go, no big death rays, BFGs or stuff like that. Most other toys are cool, but be warned the judges will be watching your ammo - no infinite ammunition (and I’ll know when you should be slamming a new clip; I’ve done my research). Strengths: ~What is your character good at? List three plus points to your character - for example, they can read the situation in battle easily due to the vast amount of experience they have, or that they're really paranoid and as such are always on their toes watching out for trouble? Weaknesses: ~Exactly the opposite. List three minus points that can make your character a little flawed, example a fear of spiders, is unable to use anything other than a sword, can't fist-fight for crap, gets too pumped of adrenaline to focus on the trap his opponent's set... lots to choose from. And YES you have to take three or you won't be accepted. Also, make them combat-related. No super forms. No Chaos Emeralds, Sol Emeralds, other magical stone or similar object. No stupidly powerful attacks or moves - throwing a bolt of lightning to stun your opponent is fine. But causing a whirlwind that could rip apart a large city is simply too powerful. And consider Chaos Control included in this category! ~TUC No outside inteference or help - this means other people aren't allowed in your fight whether they're NPCs or actual players. No healing in battle. No teleporting. You ARE allowed magic, so long as it isn't too powerful. If it's more powerful than a simple chant/incantation, you'll need to take a turn to power it up before releasing it. The plus side to this is you're going to hurt your opponent badly if you connect. The bad side is they'll have enough time to dodge or prepare for the hit, or worse still - counter attack. The same stuff applies to powers like fire control, magnetism, telepathy, etc etc; the more complex and powerful it is, the more CHARGIN’ it needs before you start FIRIN’. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ P.S. Name: Dorothy Gender: female Age: 18 Species: Rabbit Appearance: ![]() Personality: She's usually calmly indifferent to the opinions and attitudes of those around her. She does everything she does based solely on her own desires, and doesn't take orders from anyone unless she finds it fitting to herself. Battle Psychology: Dorothy relies on her impressive leg strength in battle. Her favorite tactics are upper leg attacks combined with a handstand, and aerial kicks using her increased jumping ability and acrobatics. Skills: She has very powerful legs that increase her kicking and jumping ability Jet Kick: Dorothy's boots are equipped with steam jets, allowing her to attack from a distance with the pressure from the steam they generate. Drill Drive: An aerial spinning attack, similar to Rouge's drill drive attack from SA2 Leg Suplex: While doing a handstand, Dorothy can wrap her legs around an opponent's neck and slam them into the ground with a powerful supplex. Equipment: Her boots, which are equipped with steam jets and propulsion jets. Her propulsion jets can be used for a lot less period of time then the steam jets, but can get her out of a scrape in a pinch. She can also use her steam jets for a certain degree of propulsion Strengths: She can stay in a handstand for a fairly good amount of time, she knows how to use her jumping ability to her advantage, and she has a fairly good defense with her legs. Weaknesses: She doesn't know how to use her arms in combat at all, she can become unbalanced if her foot is caught after a kick, and she can be knocked over a little more easily when using a handstand. Name: Spike Gender: Male Age: 15 Species: Hedgehog Appearance: ![]() Personality: Happy and hyper most of the time, but when angry his anger can sometimes be hard to control. He likes challenges and hates it when people doubt him because of his age. Battle Psychology: Ranged Attacker, in certain situations a Melee fighter. Skills: Lightning Control -Uses a small yellow ball surrounded in an electric field as a bullet. Shocks most things on contact. -A shield held up to protect from all energy attacks. Uses energy depending on how long he holds it up. Other times he must goes melee. (That counts as a third, right?) Equipment: Energy Crystals, what amplifies his power by 50%. Strengths: -His size allows him to dodge attacks easier, and a harder target to hit, compared to others. -A good amount of speed. -A good sense of hearing - If he concentrates well enough, he can hear the tinest sounds. Weaknesses: -Tends to use a lot of energy. -His love of a challenge can get him into situations he sometimes can't handle. -Can't attack against any instance of rubber. I am planning to join, but I have some questions first: 1. Can guns use a kind of energy present during battle as ammunition (i.e. Chaos Energy?) 2. Will abilities/skills listed under subcategories be counted toward the four skill limit? I mean, of course, could I have two specific abilities (like cryokinesis and electrokinesis) with like five different skills listed under them? 3. May we use androids/robots/cyborgs in the tournament? 4. (In reference to question 3.) Are we allowed to use a character who is like a Gizoid/Phi robot in that they can copy and use whatever attacks and abilities they witness during battle? 5. Are allowed more than one character? Name: Lamoon the Rat Gender: Male Age: 27 Species: Rat Appearance: Lamoon has green fur and stands at 4"5'. He has grey hair that travels from his head to several inches below his shoulders. His blue eyes often seem happy and sad at the same time. Painted on the corners of his eyes and also on his arms and legs are orange markings of shame for his past. He wears two outfits. One is a simple hooded jacket and black pants with blue gloves, bracelet rings, and deep blue shoes. The other is enchanted ninja armour worn during battle. He wears his scabberd across his waist, the hilt facing to the right. Personality: Lamoon is very laid back and relaxed, and often pulled pranks as a child. Though he has matured much since then, he does still get into mischief once in awhile. He is easily disturbed by large cities due to his childhood in a secluded village. Battle Psychology: Lamoon, despite his lazy attitude, is actually an excellent strategist. He tends to see battles as board games, allowing him to calmly asses the scenario's possible outcomes. He prefers to fight up close with his enchanted sword, the Black Gate, but is also good at range due to his water jutsu and ability to create and control black holes. He is also known for his knowing of many different weapons, an advantage granted to him by his history as a renowned blacksmith. Skills: Black Holes/Portals: Lamoon is most known for his abilities to create and control black holes and portals. The black holes' strengths vary on their size, ranging from too weak to suck in a speck of dust to strong enough to absorb an entire city. His portals are used for countering, as he tends to capture projectiles in them and then release them through a seperate portal. He himself will not be using them to get around. Water Jutsu: Lamoon is also highly skilled at the use of water jutsu, most notably his Giant Vortex jutsu which he developed as he learned about his black hole powers. His water jutsu also give him a great defensive play, as he can hide in mist, protect against sand and fire, or even turn invisible should he so desire. Unfortunantly, these techniques tend to put a tremendous strain on his chakra, leaving him vulnerable afterwards. Swordsmanship: Lamoon is a master swordsman, shown during battle. Even though he typically fights with but a single sword, he becomes even more dangerous when using the Black Gate AND the White Fang. Weapon Knowledge: As a blacksmith and war veteran, Lamoon has a vast knowledge of weaponry, ranging from whips to weapons similar to the Eclipse Cannon. This means he knows the weaknesses of a large number of weapons. Equipment: Lamoon carries two swords, though he rarely uses the second. The first is the Black Gate, which he forged himself from a meteor. The other is the White Fang, a blade extremely similar to the Black Gate that he found in the mountains where he used to live. He also carries two pouches of shuriken on his waist, each able to hold fifty stars. Strengths: Speed: Lamoon, as a highly trained ninja, is very fast and agile, literally running circles around most opponents until they are too tired to fight. Experience: Lamoon is a war veteran, having fought in the War of Night Fangs, in which he aided the Varden in protecting Mount Gepedo from the werewolves and vampires. Bone Displacement: Lamoon is also well known for his bones. All ninja are trained to be able to dislocate their bones at will, even before they can speak. But for Lamoon, who is a rat, this is a natural ability and allows him to hide or wait in very strangely shaped or small places. Weaknesses: Strength: Although a very skilled swordsman, Lamoon relies on finess and grace to carry him through a battle. That being said, he has a considerable lack of strength. Ego: Lamoon often mocks his enemies in combat, sometimes leading him to lose his focus and become careless. Name: Vasiel "Vas" Loup II Gender: Male Age: 17 (Estimately 23 in Nocturn years) Species: Nocturn (Abomination) [Home-made race, I have a profile of that if neccesary] Appearance: ![]() Personality: Whilst friendly and jokey with those he knows well, he has trouble trusting anyone who could be considered a stranger. He has a short temper when it comes to those he doesn't like, and can hold grudges for a long time. With both parties however, he's quite sarcastic, and has a tendency to point out their mistakes. Whether the sarcasm is in a jokey or vicious manner, or whether he points out the mistakes jokingly or nastily depends entirely on his relationship with the person he's acting towards. He's also known to be overly protective of those who're close to him, causing him to get into a lot more trouble than he would on his own. Likes/Dislikes +Meat +After a long stay in Metropolis, he's found a liking for Video Games +Fighting (He's not one of the types to start a fight, but if he's in one, he'll enjoy it) +Freedom +Being accepted -Prejudice -Assholes -Being alone -Lightning -Having to put trust in people he doesn't know Battle Psychology: Vas is an entirely melee fighter, and thus, is all about keeping within close distance of his opponent. He will try and keep any form of gap between him and his opponent closed at all times, trying to lay in as many blows as possible before manouvring. Even so, as a melee fighter, he is not neccisarily based purely on bringing pain down, but rather, attempts more to wear down his opponent, softening them up for an easier win (as notable by his Royal Crown manouvre). Most of all though, he sees it neccesary to enjoy a battle. Obviously, in life and death, trying to find joy isn't appropriate, yet, when it comes down to what he at least views as a rivalry battle, it's more about throwing yourself at it, and coming out of it happy, win or lose. Skills: Speed Vas' key advantage in battle and what his entire moveset needs to work, Vas can not only run at great speeds, but can move quite fast in general, giving him brilliant action and reaction time. Royal Spear Vas uses his speed and strength to propel himself forwards, lifting his front legs forward to form a sort of spear. This is not only a very dangerous attack to be on the wrong end of, but, if used correctly, can send Vas large distances horizontally. Royal Hounds Vas moves fast enough to create a solid aftershadow (at least, that's Vas' vague reasoning, seens as noone can think of any good explanation as to why it's possible) with a mind of it's own. They commonly dive at opponents and such-like, fading to nothing after having made any form of heavy contact. Royal Crown Vas' signature move, he runs extremely fast in a circle around his enemy. As he runs, the air inside condenses, wearing them down and giving them a slight crushing feeling from all sides, as well as heating them to dangerously high levels. If anyone was to try and stick a limb in to or out of the circle, they would probably find it removed quite painfully (That is, if they have enough strength to move from the centre, the previously mentioned 'crushing from all sides' doesn't help). The moves mainly designed as a way of tiring out the enemy, without having to directly deal damage to them. It has the added possibility of making the opponent faint if it goes on for long enough. Some of the attacks may sound a little confusing, so there should be a bit of visual aid on here if neccesary. Equipment: Unfortunately, Vas lacks any place to store any such equipment on his person, therefore, no equipment. Strengths: +Vas is also quite strong. He's not strong as in 'super level', but he is physically powerful, allowing him to land some quite heavy blows when it comes to combat. +Vas is, despite what you'd think, quite smart. He has a quick wit, and can think on his feet without falling into a panic. +Vas comes from a somewhat animalistic/tribal background, as well as having lived on the streets for a year or two, and thus, is highly used to taking full advantage of his environment for the sake of his survival. Weaknesses: -Whilst Vas is a brilliant fighter when it comes to being up front and dishing out damage, he lacks any form of ranged attacks, leaving him wide open if you can keep your distance. -Vas has a phobia of lightning. Not your 'I'm slight scared' kind, the kind where you call up in a corner and go somewhat hysterical, as well as becoming highly unreasonable. -Whilst he's highly capable on the offensive, he's highly lacking on the defensive. Name: Blader Gender: Male Age: 16 Species: Beates Appearance: Appearance Personality: Vulger, rude, and an incredible ass, Blader's personality usually falls under disagree with everyone else for kicks or try to piss them off Battle Psychology: The best and only strategy Blader knows is to get his enemy down and beat them to a bloody pulp, or kill them off the bat, if there isn't some specificed time where he isn't allowed to attack, he'll always attack. Fighting isn't so much a game for him as it is just a thing he does, and killing his opponent doesn't seem like a problem to him. Skills Shoot 'em till there dead: Simple enough, Blader empties his magazines at his enemy and hopes it hits them Blow 'em up: Fire a bullet aiming more for a moist or wet area that will hit the enemy with splash damage rather than using the bullets on them Dismemberment: Aiming for specific places on the enemy like shoulders, knees, etc to make it so that when the bullet explodes the enemy's limb will go flying off Land Mining: Blader fires the entirety of both his magazines into the ground, then awhile later gets them wet so that they explode under the enemies feet Equipment Guns: Blader carries two custom made guns, fifteen bullets per magazine and with an impressive firing rate Bullets: The bullets in the gun are made out of a special metal that produces hydrogen upon contact with water, igniting the hydrogen and causing it to explode Bottled Water: For refreshment or when there isn't a water supply close enough to fired bullets Strenghts Leg strenght: Blader has impressive lower body strenght, allowing him to leap high and move faster than normal Flexibility: He's really flexible is all Mentality: Being near insane, Blader doesn't know when a fight's already lost, and keeps on going as long as he hasn't died Weaknesses Accuracy: Blader has terrible aim, and his bullets will often miss their targets if not spammed beyond belief Strenght: He also has terrible upper body strenght, so hand to hand combat is a disadvantage for him Foresight: Blader won't see a surprise attack coming unless it's right infront of his face, so he's suspectible to sneak attacks APPROVED Edited by Bowie, Apr 26 2009, 08:52 PM.

Finnaly! It's here! Name: Zak The Hedgehog Age:14 Species: Hedgehog Apearence: Personality: kind. He'll always try to help, but if you piss him off, don't expect to hear the end of it. Battle Phsycology: usually will start assaulting the enemy with a close melee. after a while he will begin to observe the enemy and alter his fighting style to best fit them. Skills: Fire blade: he has no wepons, so he will cast a spell called fire blade. Fire comes out of his fist and compreses to have a solid core. Yes, solid fire. It's fiction people! Rock wall: he will raise a wall of rock as a sheild. It will not go back, so it becomes an obsticle until broken. Thunder shock: he will point with his index finger and fire a thin electric wire. Not good with moving targets. Ice daggers: moving his hand in a swiping motion. 3-7 daggers shoot out with razor sharp points. They will melt, but a small flame won't do it. Equipment: Mana rings: spiritual energy compressed into rings. He can use them to replenish his mana. He will begin with 5. Kunai: sharp throwing knives. He has not mastered them. He has of 7. Stregths: Perservirence:he won't stop fighting until gushing blood like a fountain. He just doesn't know when to quit. Speed: he is very fast. Not Sonic-Fast, but close. Hand to hand: very good at punching and kicking, fast. Weaknesses: Perservirence: like i said, doesn't know when to quit, which can also be a bad thing. Rage: make a fool of him and he will blow. He will greatly lower his defences. Aim: new to throwing and has a high chance of missing. only when using Kunai. Ice daggers fly out, not thrown, so he is pretty spot-on. HOWEVER, if the ammunition is self-renewing, then the weapon should A)Cause minimal damage and have no special effects (stun, poison, sleep, etc etc); and B)Take at least 1.5 posts (three actions) to recharge after expending its full payload and should not begin recharging until the clip is empty. This takes one action longer than reloading a disposable-feed weapon. 2. Will abilities/skills listed under subcategories be counted toward the four skill limit? I mean, of course, could I have two specific abilities (like cryokinesis and electrokinesis) with like five different skills listed under them? --They will be counted towards the Skill limit; Cyrokinesis (for example) allows a myriad of effects even at a basic level. Abnormally powerful or special applications of the ability count as seperate Skills in themselves. Also see the swordsman analogy in the template for another example. 3. May we use androids/robots/cyborgs in the tournament? --Yes. Any special in-built operations (enhanced target systems, wrist guns, self-destruct, etc) should count as Equipment (or Skills, depending on what the add-on actually does). 4. (In reference to question 3.) Are we allowed to use a character who is like a Gizoid/Phi robot in that they can copy and use whatever attacks and abilities they witness during battle? --Ah, the Mimic ability. Yes, you can use it, but there are limits. A)Skills from previous fights will be forgotten. B)The mimic should only learn an ability it can actually replicate. To clarify, if the robot cannot manipulate flames to begin with, it cannot learn Pyrokinesis, but it could learn fighting techniques as long as it has the physiology required. Tis is pretty much a common sense thing though. C)The power to mimic your opponent is formidable and has many applications. Your other three skill slots should be left empty to make room for the abilities you're copying (so when you copy another character, you can copy up to three of their techniques before using up all your memory, so to speak). 5. Are allowed more than one character? --Absolutely not. I will also poke Bowie and Venny and get their opinions on the matter, but for now, that's the verdict of the powers analyst. *rubs end of moustache* Also, Storyteller, your summoning Jutsu is gonna have to go. Wears a grey open chested jacket, open fingered gloves, grey shoes, and a black headband. Personality: ~Sort of but not really emo, moderetally depressed after being transported from his own world Battle Psychology: ~ His main stragety is to shortly stun an enemy with a lightning bolt, and then use a combo of demonic powers with swordsmanship to attempt to stop the enemy quickly. Skills: ~Great swordsmanship- Kinda self explanitory Lighting Bolt- Shoots a bolt of lightning at the enemy, doing little damage and stuning them for a very short amount of time. The advantage of this attack is that is very small, making it hard to see and hard to dodge. Demonic Blast- Ramen uses his demon powers to launch a blast of dark energy at the enemy. Ramen's most used attack, though it drains his energy very quickly. Demonic lightning- Combines demon powers with lightning. What it does is make a lightning storm over the enemy, also raining down dark energy. It is Ramen's most powerful attack, but it drains his energy so much that he can barley do anything afterwards. Equipment: ~ Demonic sword: A very large and very powerful sword that Ramen obtained when a demon possessed his body Pistol: A Pistol Ramen "obtained" for this tournament. Chains: These can to be attached to the Demon Blade for a very wild varitey of attacks. Ramen uses these much less then his sword itself. Strengths: ~VERY resourceful Ramen is trained pretty well to predict enemy actions Very elusive; he can always find some way to hide from his enemy for a moment. Name: William Miles "Tails" (in alternation with "Cy-Fox") Prower Age: 21-?? Species: Fox Appearence: THE ONE ON THE LEFTPersonality: Personality varies on the era encountered. Directly after his nearly fatal encounter with Ivo Robotnik in 2109, Tails was very vulnerable and easy to frighten, indicated in his frequent nightmares and low energy. However when Maria took care of him, the old Tails started to slowly return. When Maria's life was threatened by an accident on the observation deck, Tails' feelings for her and the fear of losing her acted as a catalyst which brought him back to full strength. From that point on, Tails returned to his normal habits of working late on Project Thanatos with the difference of setting time aside to see Maria. When Shadow was created and when Tails & Maria were tasked with his care, it was the pinnacle of his life. However when Maria was killed during the G.U.N raid on the ARK, Tails lost all will to live, going as far as to vainly attempt suicide to prevent Ivo from converting him into a cyborg. Slowly with Robotnik's modifications, Tails' personality and will to fight was stripped down until he was close to total subserviance, in which he could be compared to a robot in terms of personality and behavior. It took Gerald Robotnik's death at his hand (of which Gerald wanted) to cause him to overthrow Ivo's hold on him. When he was recovered by his friend and co-worker from Project Thanatos, Moddex Everest, and made into Cy-Fox, he became a more darker, colder version of his whole self, still concerned with the safety of his friends and allies, but holding little mercy for the opposition. When he crossed timelines and put an end to the ARK raid, his personality merged with that of his past self, the effects of that transformation unknown. Family: Amadeus & Rosemary Prower (Parents - Deceased) Transport: N/A. This unit is self-propelled Armor: Plating that is made with a lightweight composite of carbon and titanium fitted over an exosuit that is infused with advanced ZDI nanotechnology that came from the concepts of Project Thanatos. The exosuit is assembled from a material similar to rubber, but it's lined outside with a carbon fiber material that cannot be pierced by conventional machines. Weapons/Items: Leo Social MK. I - Heavy-duty submachine gun. (Destroyed and unusable M9-212 Auto-Pistol - Sidearm with triple burst as standard, capable of single shot, silencing and Kinetic Recoil Action Breaking. The KRAB's function is to heavily dampen the kinetic recoil a shooter feels through the gun, keeping a higher accuracy rating to help with long range targets. The KRAB integrates with a scope to attain optimal accuracy. Pile Bunker Spike - Melee weapon that also serves as an physical interface point with certain devices. Biography: Prower was born on October 26, 2092 during Dr. Ivo Robotnik's takeover of planet Mobius' world capital Mobotropolis in the underground of Mobius. His father was Vice Admiral Amadeus Prower, the Chief of Naval Research, who was Robotnik's liaso with the military. Amadeus had died getting his wife and unborn son to safety in the underground where his wife died shortly after. Their son ended up in the care of Jules Hedgehog and his 4-year old son Sonic who gave him the nickname Tails due to his second tail. The two would live together in the refugee settlement Knothole where they would plan and execute guerilla strikes on Robotnik's forces for close to 16 years. Tails would be well known for his mechanical and technical skills, which would allow him to contribute to Robotnik's downfall in 2109 by shutting down the vast command & control network backbone on Robotnik's space station known as the Death Egg in tandem with a massive United Nations Space Command strike. Tails would be lured into fighting Robotnik one-on-one, where Ivo would end up severely damaging the fox's heart with a hidden weapon. His fate would end up in Sonic's hands, who was given a choice between letting Robotnik get away in order to possibly save Tails, or to go after Robotnik, which would surely mean death for his friend. Sonic chose to save Tails, and Ivo was virtually defeated even though he escaped into the reaches of deep space. Tails would end up being put on a fast UNSC ship that was scheduled to visit Space Colony ARK, where he would be put under the care of the station's Chief Medical Officer and lead researcher, Professor Gerald Robotnik, Ivo's hated grandfather and the only other person able to rival him technologically besides Tails. Professor Robotnik would end up creating and implanting the first human-made artifical Mobian fox heart into Tails. When Tails awakened from anesthesia, he would meet his caretaker and future companion Maria Robotnik, Gerald's terminally-ill granddaughter. Maria would devote the majority of her time to him, going as far as to stay with him overnight to soothe him to sleep while he had frequent nightmares. That could only do so much as Tails had formed a psychosomatic block that kept him from wanting to fly with his tails, a block that was only broken when Maria fell off the observation deck, prompting Tails to dive down into the depths after her, spurred on by the fear of losing her. Soon afterwards, the two would enter into a relationship, which prompted Tails to stay on the ARK after he was evalutated to be fit again. Though he had no formal education, he would be allowed to become a part of the ARK's science team after being sent to the United Kingdom to study at the University of Reading under the tutelage of Gerald Robotnik's associates and also his son Simon, Maria's father and the Warwickian Chair of Cybernetics. Tails would end up befriending a human named Moddex Everest, a doctorate student from the Tokyo Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (TAIST), during a conference in Amsterdam, both establishing a rappaport because of similar backgrounds and scientific ideas. When Tails secured his degree in 2113, he would return to the ARK and an understandably happy Maria. Tails was now ready to undertake what he believed would be his magnum opus, a project that would seek the same goal that Professor Robotnik sought, a cure for Maria's illness. Tails ended up giving his project the name Project Thanatos, named after the Greek personification of life, death and judgment. His first act was to extend an invitation to Moddex to be his right hand man. Together the two would end up directing their efforts towards using nanotechnology to drive Thanatos. When they were not working on Thanatos, they would work together with Gerald Robotnik on Project Shadow, in which Gerald sought out a cure through genetic engineering, provided that Tails was first not busy seeing to Maria of course. When the test subject Shadow the Hedgehog was created, Tails would spend time with Maria taking care of him, seeing the little hedgehog as an adoptive son. Then in 2115, everything began to fall apart in a grand scheme of deception brought about by Tails' old nemesis, Ivo Robotnik. Finding out that the Guardian Unit of Nations (the ground and air counterpart to the UNSC within the United Nations) was interested in the military applications of Shadow, and that Gerald rejected their proposal to acquire him, Ivo ended up remotely sabotaging the forerunner project to Project Shadow, the Biolizard by manipulating its life support systems to cause it to grow out of control and rampage until it was pacified after G.U.N was asked to assist. Seeing an opportunity to seize Shadow, the unit commander ordered what was later interpreted as an illegal lockdown of the station using biohazard regulations. Tails would end up being tasked with helping Maria get Shadow off the station. When the two were found, they were both gunned down, and Maria would die from her wounds. Tails however was able to stay alive until G.U.N left the ARK. Though he was clinically dead, he would end up re-emerging in the worst place imaginable to him, in Ivo Robotnik's hands. Ivo had mutilated his body, making him into a cyborg and attempted to brainwash the fox by psychological and cybernetic means. In a test of trust, Ivo gives Tails a weapon, causing the fox to seemingly kill his tormentor, after which he attempted to kill himself. However the Ivo that he killed was simply a mindless clone. Tails had failed and thus paid for his failure by being adjusted to a subservient state. Later on, Tails would be used in a plan to cripple G.U.N and Gerald, by luring Gerald and Sonic onto the ARK to use the ARK's defensive energy weapon, the Eclipse Cannon on major G.U.N installations. Tails would be sent to the ARK to take Gerald back to the Egg Carrier, but would instead break his conditoning again to spare Gerald the same fate that he'd met by killing him. For disobeying, Ivo disabled Tails' systems and left him to die there again, slowly. But instead, for the final time he would be recovered, this in an unknown point in the future by Moddex. Moddex had gotten off of the ARK and managed to obtain political asylumn on Mobius, establishing Zenith Defense Industries, a military contractor that dealt in small arms, vehicles, robotics and other technologies and supplied them to the Mobian military and select Earth nations. When the Eclipse Cannon was fired on G.U.N, Moddex was sent with a contigent of special forces operatives to disable the Cannon. They had found Tails before his systems went permanently went offline, and sent him to the main ZDI facility in the desert reigon of Mobius. Ivo's mutilations would be removed and Tails would be remade into what would be the Cy-Fox unit. Then he would rejoin Sonic and Knuckles in an effort to prevent Ivo from unleashing an apocalyptic nuclear strike on Mobius, an effort that would fail and trigger a second war with an allied Earth and Mobius (allied by the London Pact) against Robotnik. The war would effectively be ended by the development of time travel technology by ZDI which allowed Tails and Moddex to inhabit their past forms in the year 2115 before G.U.N's attack. Moddex and Tails would work together to outfit his past body with armor and weapons close to that of the level of the time they left, while at the same time attempting to stave off the ARK invasion by attempting to throw off Ivo's attack on the Biolizard. Though they managed to somewhat stabilize the Biolizard, it still presented enough of a problem to prompt G.U.N to board, forcing them to repel the invaders, Tails choosing a combination of lethal and non-lethal force depending on the situation, while Moddex singlehandedly wiped out 28 GUN troopers, while the rest were dispatched either by Tails or other friendly forces. Afterwards, both were instrumental in planning the placement of a UNSC fleet into a position to strangle the past Ivo Robotnik's Egg Carrier, causing his death To their surprise, the future incarnations remained in their past bodies, due to a phenomenon known as an improbability prevention. This causes the personalities of the past and future forms of Moddex and Tails to merge into singular consciousnesses. Afterwards, with future designs driving them, Project Thanatos is complete and is successful in curing Maria's illness, while at the same time providing enhancements. The new future while safe, is unpredictable and is as open as a book. Strengths: Self Repair (System): All nanocells have copies of the core software that drives them, meaning that if proper power levels are maintained, all nanocells can be restored to functionality as long as one is fully functional. Self Repair (Power): In the event that the main core is knocked out, the secondary core in combination with bioelectric reserves will recharge the nanocells until the main core is returned to 70% functionality, resulting in reduced mobility during this period of self-repair. Multiple Sensory Modes: Cy-Fox is able to see in IR (infared), night vision and in a special "threat detection" mode that will identify weapons, explosives and enemy personnel. Weaknesses: Stealth: The nanocolony clouds that compose his armor are very easy to detect on UHF bands, meaning that he will have to sacrifice protection for stealth by going without armor in a situation that calls for stealth against electronic surveillance. Interference: Tails' nanocolonies operate at a frequency of 302.40 GHz (gigahertz) on the UHF band. If an opposing nanocolony comes into contact, one of the three following conditions may occur: -Assimilation: Tails' nanocolonies will safely take over and assimilate the opposing nanocolony if the opposing colony operates at a frequency in the range of 297.15 GHz to 307.65 GHz. -Polar Interference: Interference with the nanocolonies will occur, causing some points in the armor to weaken, and may interfere with system operations. The frequencies that this effect occurs within are within 307.66 GHz to 347.65 GHz and 257.14 GHz to 297.14 GHz. -Feedback: Severe electromagnetic destabilization occurs, shutting down all protective elements of his armor, and 80% of his systems resulting in incapacitation. The frequencies that this effect occurs at are any frequency that is equal to or below 257.13 GHz and that is equal to or above 347.66 GHz., Stress Threshold: If both cores are stressed from overusage, the cores will either shutdown or in extreme cases, blow up or melt. After careful consideration, I have decided on my character! Name: Gauge Gender: Male Age: 25 Species: Hedgehog Appearance: ![]() Personality: Ever since an event where an Eggman creation killed his brother when he was only ten, Gauge now takes, even practice battles, as though his life was on the line. But outside of battle, he does have a friendly side. Battle Psychology: Gauge is highly strategic, often thinking of strategies to outmaneuver his opponents and then going for the kill when he sees the timing is right. Along with his electrokinesis and manipulation and control of Chaos Energy, he uses gadgets and devices he invented himself to efficiently battle. Skills: Electrokinesis Control over Chaos Energy Mental block (passive) Equipment: Chaos Gun- Uses the Chaos Energy in his own body as ammunition. Jet Shoes- By clicking his heels together, Gauge is able to take flight with his shoes which run on their own unending power source. But if he maxes out the energy output, he can reach a speed which completely obliterates the sound barrier, at the cost of said power source to be completely expended. Nanobots- By hitting the skull tattoo on his arm, nanobots within his body activate to increase the muscle mass in his body, mainly in his arms and legs. The increased muscle mass makes him about as strong as an echidna, and allows him to jump to great heights. The affects of the nanobots, however, last only sixty seconds before Gauge has to reactivate them. (Let's say 5-7 posts.) Strengths: Can absorb any reflected shots from his Chaos Gun back into his body, can use the environment to his advantage, fast reflexes Weaknesses: Water when he is electrically charged, takes every fight seriously, can have a short temper in battle If there is anything I need to change, tell me and I shall make changes according. Plus, I will state at the end of posts how many shots he has left in proportion to his Chaos Energy. EDIT: I have made most of the appropriate changes. The reason I haven't changed his Chaos skill is because it doesn't mention Chaos Control, it says 'Control over Chaos Energy', meaning he is able to use many Chaos attacks. He can use Chaos Control, but I swear on being a member of Organization XIII that I won't him warping at all. I'll be joining this one. Name: Crio the Hedehog Gender: Male Age: 35 Species: Hedgehog (really agile, and average strength) Appearance: ![]() Personality: Serious, but can be funny at times. He also likes a good fight Battle Psychology: He uses fast and precise stabs and slashes with his sword. He also likes to stand back sometimes and take shots with his D. Eagle. Most of his energy/magic based attacks have to do with minor healing and destruction. He is an experienced fighter who has been around fighting since he was a young boy. Most of what he learned about a sword came from his father and with ranged weapons, his mother. If he loses any of his weapons he will go to magic until he can rec over them. His "Hand to Hand" isin't the strongest. Skills: Quick step-He can dodge faster Magic Blast- forms a green energy bal in his hands and throws it at his opponent Arcane Intellect- He learns more about the enviroment around him, and can use it to his advantage Prayer- Heals mostof his minor cuts and wounds (can olny be used once per day) Equipment: Nightmare Slayer- A steel sword with an obsidian blade. (grey in the middle and black on the outside) It is a longsword, so fairly quick slashes. It has a normal hilt, but tilted down slightly. D. Eagle- A black desert eagle, with gold latin print on the barrel that means " Gods Aim". It can perice armor, but has alot of recoil. Strengths: He has good peripheral vision, so he can see some attacks coming. He is fast, so he can dodge easier. He is light on his feet, and works better in dimly lit areas. Weaknesses: He can't take many hits, so he'll go down easier. When he is attacking with his D.Eagle, his focus is on the enemy, and can easily be hit. APPROVED Kitsune_Otaku Dregan Badx Casual+y (However, the grenade launcher is a bit much and doesn't really fit into tournament play. Oh, and you've only got 3 out of a potential 4 skills.) Ramen (Again, the sniper rifle is unsuited for tournament play. Also, all your skills are blasts, blasts and blasts... can you come up with something more creative? Just a suggestion.) WILL THE FOLLOWING PLEASE ALTER THEIR SUBMISSIONS Kingdaro -Edit weaknesses; his 'thinking ahead' problem should be replaced, and his 'distraction' should maybe be replaced with a weakness vs sonic attacks/effects. -Rethink your skills! They seem alright, but they're all pretty generic. Not a must, but it would be a good idea to think about them a bit harder. Storyteller -Summoning Justu breaks the 'no outside interference rule' -Black hole generation seems a bit too powerful, and the portals idea, while good, also breaks the 'no teleporting' rule... which... has... vanished, oddly enough...) -You too only have 3 out of 4 possible skills. If this is intentional, let me know. Zak the Hedgehog -Half your equipment isn't even going to be used in the tournament. Get rid of the unneccesary stuff please. -Don't forget that your ammo and equipment is all replenished after each battle anyway, so your kunai should only be one pack of seven. -Your battle psychology isn't very well thought out. What kind of fighter is he? All you've told us is that he keeps fighting until he suffers grievous injury, which isn't very informative. -'Persevereance' trait is a bit of a concern, but as long as you're sure... -For a spell caster, he's kinda unbalanced; most of his skills are attacking. Again, as long as you're sure... Sonniku-Otaku -Chaos Control is a godmodding ability by it's very nature and isn't really allowed. Your guns may still run off Chaos energy if you wish, but no Chaos Control for you or anyone else I'm afraid. -His strengths are a bit odd; he's not really going to be fixing machines or repairing his gadgets in the middle of a fight. I'd suggest giving yourself something a bit more useful in place of those. -His weakness in regards to his brother is just plain wierd. Seriously; who's going to know your character's brother, let alone want to insult him? That just makes no sense. Replace it with something else please. Whisp the Chameleon -Your battle psychology could do with a bit more detail. -You've only got two skills; if you just want to keep it at that, that's okay, but don't expect to go too far with good dodging and the ability to generate orbs of arcane energy. And if you're going to add more, try and make the new abilities a bit more creative. |
