Or what about Mac OSX?

You just need a copy of linux, something like Ubuntu, burn the iso onto a disk. Then boot from that disk. If you don't know about booting from a disk, check whenever you start your computer. It will say something like boot preference <F12> So just press F12 and select CD-rom. Edited by cap*, Mar 31 2009, 11:06 AM.

The mac can run linux without wipin' the hard drive! and the new macs with intel can work using VMware Fusion;) don't believe me? look at this snapshots to prove that mac can run linux! I tried throwing Intrepid Ibex on my laptop, and no matter what my autistic Linux nerd buddy and I did, we couldn't get drivers to work for my GeForce graphics card or my wireless. Linux is quite fussy in general, so I'd recommend still keeping a Windows install onhand, and a lot of patience, if you're planning on putting it on. OSX, I'm not too sure about. I personally despise it, so I've never even considered using it before.
