Easily readable. He was giving an example of a situation in the words which would most likely be used by a cyber-bully idiot. >_> On another note run on sentences aren't corrected by online dictionaries (it's called a dictionary after all). Cyber-bully are cowards. Every one that I've encountered has either: (the following are my methods) A) were threatened face-to-face (if they lived close). or B) if simply given a playful statement "is the best you can come up with?" then blocked and deleted/ignored. If you block/delete a troll you're showing him he won, he were bothered by his comment therefore he won. Trust me, I've been around interwebz. |

Sandopolis Act 1

Of course, the question is not so much "who won," as "how can I be maximally comfortable, and happy." The sad fact is that many are sensitive to such attacks, as stupid as those attacks are. The solution for them, in that case, is to block what they cannot ignore. Perhaps the bully "wins." A prideful desire not to please some jerk's ego seems like a poor reason for putting up with sh*t. Yes, they bothered you. You are sensitive. The sooner you can admit that, the sooner you can grow. Ignoring what bugs you is only another form of repression, and it will express itself sooner or later. Edited by Katsuko, Apr 1 2009, 08:05 PM.

I find all forms of bullying sad and pathetic. It just goes to show that people are insecure of themselves so they fixate all their attention onto someone who comes across as weaker. I think that a lot of people need to be shown how to deal with this sort of bullying. I have never been cyber-bullied, thankfully, but I have experienced bullying in reality and I think both are just as bad as one another. |

I think there's a difference from cyber bullying and trolls. Trolls are just bored, horrible people, who have nothing better to do with their lives than join a chatroom/forum and see how long it takes for them to get banned/kicked out and how mad they can get people. a cyber bully is someone, who isn't bored, they want to inflict some sort of emotional pain, even though the amount of bullying it takes to do this differs from target to target. some will become easily offended, while some will ignore them completely.they don't do it to have fun, they do it because they are to much of a coward to say it to your face (if they know you personally), and/or they need to (try) to make someone feel small to give themselves importance. So they're usually one of three people; 1) people who have anger issues 2)cowards or 3) people who have low self-esteem and/or get daily verbal and/or emotional abuse. |

Cyber-Bullying has gotten much more attention as years come passing by. If I'm not mistaken, even Legislation stepped in at one point. I do recall in the newspaper about an article of a girl who was cyber-bullied. Megan Meier, a 13 year old girl, was lead on by a former friend of hers and her mother. They created a profile on one of the social network websites as a boy that she quickly became interested in. Megan was known to have a sort of clinical depression and was on medication during this time. Their goal was to see what Megan would say about her former friend/her daughter, and they faked an identity and faked a relationship with her just to get her to talk. Afterwards, the dialogue between liking each other became foul, and messages such as 'She's a *****', or 'She's a ****', and "This world would be better off without you". Without much understanding why the 'boy' she suddenly became close to became so foul and rude to her, her last message on the network was; "You're the kind of boy a girl would kill herself over." And she ultimately did so. While the parents did try and take legal action against the mother and her daughter, some of the charges were dropped due to a almost lack of focus on the internet and cyber-bullying issue. While the attorney for the mother and daughter was able to pass motions to severely drop the charges before the trial [I believe it went from 4 charges to 1, using excuses such that violating the terms of service on the social networking website that was used didn't mean illegal access on a protected computer, or something along those lines.], this was merely the start of people focusing on laws to protect children on the internet. Take it as a rant, or a serious issue, it's becoming a growing problem in society. I'm glad that some action is being taken, but it seems a tad too late, nor does it seem this sort of law can truly be enforced. I just hope something can be done before things such as the Megan Meier case pop up once more. Edited by Ereki, Jun 15 2009, 01:34 PM.

If someone asks me if I'm enjoying life, unless it's something really unforgivable, I can't help but answer that I am. No matter how much despair there is, I'm satisfied with just living...Just being allowed to be here really is a wonderful thing. -Shiki Tohno È̡͚̱̯̝̲̖̯̟̃̓̋̔ͨ̆͡r̠̤̬̦̞͇̔̇ͬ͛̽͊̀ͅȩ̼̳͓̬͍̙̜̖̋̿ͅķ̫̠̲ͫi̶̥͔̼̙̣̾̅̏ͧ̐ͨ̎̚͠ 하루 하루 - Ereki's Daily Blog~ | |

I remember that story Ereki, it made me feel sick. I too am glad that some measures are being taken to tackle this problem but sometimes it only draws more publicity to it and makes it a more "fun" sport for the losers who enjoy doing it. |
