Sonic Advance 3, I love this game; possibly the best 2D sonic game ever

So yeah, I think Sonic Advance 3 had the best music and playing style of all the 2D sonic Games. The Zones were original and awesome, and the extra boss was epic.
What do you think?

And besides, the teaming effect was pretty well thought-out IMO, even if some were a bit useless... (Sonic and Knux is dummmmmmmmmb)
Sonic and Knux team up rocks your socks and you know it, at least it's better than Sonic and Amy *shiver*

I liked SAdv3 but I personally felt there wasn't that much challenge or speed like there was in the 2nd one. I mean before you beat the sky canyon in the 2nd one you would die approximately over 9000 times.

Quoting worn out anime meme's is aganist the law soldier.

lolwut ? Split personality ? I'm I turning into TUC ?

Yeah, it's great. It may be cheap, but who cares? These two are a fun combo.

Hey, guys? Totally flip-flopping on this one. Sociology was boring as hell today, and we literally did nothing throughout the class, so I played a couple zones of each of the Advances. I'd forgotten how much I hate the boss battles of 2, and while I like the zones of 2 much better, I think the gameplay and story of 3 outweighs the kiddiness of Zone 4. And, as I mentioned before, there really is nothing more satisfying for me than having Sonic follow Tails. I have no shame.

That having been said, why use anyone as a partner other than Sonic? Advance 3 is really a game about speed; you barely even need to worry about enemies. No point in special moves to take out baddies, but if you can fly high enough to reach those secrets, or get by all the breakable blocks, that's all you need. Tails or Knux, with Sonic, all the way.

Venny, any team that uses Amy is generally doomed to failure, much to my dismay. Except Tails and Amy, which is awesome. *flies around with a hammer, LOL* And besides, Sonic with Knux is fail, you can't get anywhere. HOWEVER, Knux with Sonic is reasonably good.

Knux and Tails is my favourite actually; the double jump comes in mega handy. And generally Tails is the best main to use in the last battle (just keep flying into the cockpit for an easy win, muhahahaha!).

I thought the Advance series was great. Advance 1 was more like the older 2D games though whereas 2/3 were a lot different.

TIME TO REALLY EXPLODE!
Advance 3 is the most superior of the Advance series in pretty much all aspects. Music wise, I think Advance 2 has it beat, though. Except for the boss music.

Anyway, the gameplay for 3 was the best: A solid middle-ground between the slower platforming of Advance 1 and the majorly running based gameplay of Advance 2. The team system was rather frivolous, as you barely needed your partner for anything except breaking down the occasional block or using their ability to get a chao. It would have been fine without it, but it doesn't detract from the game's quality. Some of the partner combos are cool, though. Like being Amy with Knuckles as a partner and using her hammer is lulzy.

The levels are well designed. As said, there's a mix of platforming and speed that doesn't overdo either aspect. The levels are nice and long, for a 2D Sonic game of course, and never really annoying to navigate. The hazards are classic ones that any Sonic fan should be used to, so it's good in that aspect. The bosses are all entertaining, as well. Especially Twinkle Snow's.

Graphics wise, the game is sweet. Each level's colors and aesthetic design is vastly different than the previous and provides a good sense of ambiance. Route 99 looks like a city, Sunset Hill is played during Sunset, Ocean Base is a dreary place that looks like the inside of a submarine, Toy Kingdom is like a trippy carnival, Twinkle Snow is so pretty with the aurora in the background, Cyber Track is a brighter Techno Base from Advance 2, so that's awesome. And Chaos Angel is Angel Island covered in EPIC sauce. All sweet.

The music is excellent, but that holds for pretty much every Sonic game ever made.

And of course, there's G-Mel. I love his design and am disappointed that he's not shown up in any Sonic game since. He's still awesome though.

So overall, Advance 3 is indeed a very sweet game. Highly recommended.
