Ouch, this is very nasty, disgusting, abhorrent bump. Over a year; just horrible. But I'm that crappy artist that gets severe blocks and resultant low self esteem like mad, but here's something that hopefully makes up for it: This is my first finished digital painting, for being such a noob I think I did a pretty good job. Shoes and claws need work and the anatomy is probably a bit janked, but screw it, I worked on and off on this thing for three days. I'm proud. I may eventually do a "making-of" for it. EDIT: Whaddaya know? I did!  Something that took considerably less time but which I'm nonetheless proud of. Don't know what in the world Claudio's doing on the 360, but it has to be glorious.  Something to round out this bump. This is type of art that pads my periods of inactivity; bad sketches of randomness, usually dogs, because dogs are awesome. Me and a friend got bored and turned our anthro FCs, and Shadow, into feral animals because we're still extremely juvenile like that on a boring night. Edited by BlizShadow, Jul 10 2011, 11:32 PM.

New Year's Week Update. Awesomeness. Speaking of New Year's, I made a resolution: Draw at least one picture a day to keep my skills updated and the creative juices flowing. I tried this last year but missed the mark by a few hours after 18 days. Sadness ensued. This year I'm going to try again, and presumably every Sunday I'll update this topic with seven pictures, each in chronological order. Can I do 366 pics on time? Prrrobably not. But let's see how this goes anyway!  Lil Avii's fan characters Dak and Highway, Shadow, and my guy Penth enjoying beer and stupid stories. We had a random role play that day.  After Generations, Classic Sonic's still trying.  My yorkie-mistaken-for-a-golden-retriever Aldagar and his sheltie girlfriend Kenna doing what dogs do. The start of Al Week.  Second part of Al Week. A random ad for a popular local joint in his hometown.  Third part of Al Week. Anyone who bothered reading his bio knows that boy ain't welcome 'round sum parts for almost killin' a feller. Tried to have fun framing the picture in an interesting way.  Fourth entry in Al Week. This is his parted friend, Cahil, an Anatolian Shepherd and fittingly part of the police force. Said police force isn't all on the up and up either....  Final part of Al Week. A moment in time with the father Flint, mother Ellen, and badass little brother Cullen. Also tried two-point perspective. Need to work on spaces in general. |

That's because I abuse the eraser and trash can as much as possible. \o/ But thanks for the comments peepz. Update two is today! I've been very good about remembering, although my creative juices have congealed a bit. Lots of sketchy work, but I nonetheless have a surprise to make up for it:  Sonic and Knuckles doing what they used to do. I myself derp'd half-way into the background.  A leftover scene from an old fanfiction idea I had. Werehog was going insane in the midst of his journey back to Eggmanland, prompting swift culling from the entire world population, the Holoska peoples included.  A shiba inu, because I'm infatuated with seiyuu but I can't draw people. This is the closest to artistically expressing that infatuation as I'll get.  Sketching around a design for a polar bear. Tried to shift away from a straight port of a real animal a la Disney, at least in the face.  Mr. Polar Bear's friend, an Arctic Fox. He has no body definition. <3  A few random poses for Sonic. An 11th hour drawing, literally. <3  More of Aldagar. If you screw with the cops, they'll screw with you, in this specific case by hiring hitmen to do their dirty work, the cowards. So, what's the surprise you ask? Why of course, it's a 3D animation! This is a test for an assignment for school, where we had to model and rig the brush to be able to twist, squash and stretch, and bend. I'm working on a better and longer animation as we speak that I'll turn on Tuesday. Here's an image of it's basic functions. You're also free to have the rig to play with, provided any of you actually have Maya 2012. xD |
