xD Thanks for the votes of confidence you guys. I can never have enough of them. But speaking of updates, here's a really small one to make up for the hellfire I shall soon suffer during finals week-- a huge test, a 20 x 30 still life to finish, and a project detailing a fictitious country. I'll be amazed if I survive. So here's two small things I did to help fill the void--  It's my handsome Jet recolor, Claudio. I had a really big idea to do a huge Drew Struzan like image with him dedicated to the song "Closer" by Ne-Yo. Sketched part of him to induce creative flow.  And more really blah sketching. To get any of the references, watch this (adult) comedy routine by DL Hughley on how blacks supposedly neglect their pets. For the un-PC, it's friggin' hilarious, especially if you can vouch for any of this like I can, unfortunately. ... And yes, I'm still working on that painting. xD |

Nice pic there, Claudio is lookin good. ^^ Hat is fun. =3 And that little sketch mass was funny to read. I like the posing and facial expression all over it. Like something I'd expect from a cartoon which is actually nice to see, and the adult comedy was... interesting to say the least. xP |

Yae for years' long updates. Ugh, I'm a horrible artist. ;; Even worse is, it's just a bunch of b/w stuff. *dodges the tomatoes* Nevertheless, my creative drought is slowly dissipating and I have things to show for it-- Untitled-- Aboriginal Knuckles with a didgeridoo. That isn't cliche'! I actually plan on coloring (and finishing) this piece due to entering a contest with my brother who foolishly believes he can outcolor me. In fact, here's a small preview.  Ain't No Sunshine-- A cheap and sketchy attempt at third-point perspective, dramatic shading, and magical floating handwriting during a marathon of the eponymous song from Bill Withers. I know the whole "Shadow = emo" thing is a falsity, but it was just really convenient at the time.  Dark Gaia-- It's Chip, perverted by evil style! I suggested to my friend to draw the "hyper-energy organism", but they weren't up to the task... So I was! Someone has to do it after all; Don't think there's a lot of fanart out there of him.  Respect-- An idea that's probably as common and old as dust, just drawn my way. I was inspired by the CD3 comic posted here to try a pencil-only comic page and had a little fun with it, even if the characters did get off model in the rest of the panels. And it's dirty! Ah well. Practice, practice, practice, eh? xP  Assorted Animals Study-- A stork, a lemur, a reindeer, and an iguana. What do these critters all have in common? Absolutely nothing aside from the fact that I don't draw them or realistic things often enough. xP Well-p, that's all I have for now. I'll probably get back to drawing that Werehog you all hate so much. Believe it or not, he is quite the muse. xP |

Bliz, ur gallery doesn't get enough love. Those are some great sketches, the animals one looks really amazing and respect did make me chuckle a bit. Seeing some Dark Gaia fanart is nice since he really doesn't get a ton and hey.. Ultimate Emo and your WIP sketch/color is lookin nice.. it's just hard for me to tell (based off the sketch at first) if he's about to blow into a horn thing or eat a burrito thing. ^^; |

Wow, this place sure is dusty. *removes cobwebs and kills spider* Hopefully with college forcing me to draw everyday and the desire to start doing commissions soon, I can keep this gosh-darned topic updated more often. So in retribution for my negligence, here's a whopping twelve pieces, two of which are not posted yet on my SSMB gallery because of their three-day waiting period between updates. xP Mr. Fox says "o hai gaiz!" One of the few pieces I would technically consider finished. I'm thinking of doing commissions over the summer so I need some strong works to lure the people in. This guy represents the "Furry" section of a planned ad. (And no, I would not draw explicit material anyways, you gutter-minded bigots. xD)  Silver's obviously having an excellent time with the Natal. I dunno why I don't draw this fellow more often; I actually like him.  These sketches represent the time period of me and my brother retrieving his car from a shop, having said car die, and him purchasing a new battery and putting it in. I don't like Maximas.  Sonic must still be a knave. I'm pretty sure that stance and attack are just completely wrong for a broadsword. This was done in ballpoint pen, if you couldn't tell by the test scribbles in the corner.  A sloppy sketch of my yorkie fan character Aldagar on some tossed-out Kraft paper. When it's the last day of school, no one brings any paper; We bring pencils tho'.  Sonic is currently wishing that the player would press 'X'. A little bit of mental spring cleaning; I've wanted to do a SRA/Marine-themed pic for months but put it off because water is also my enemy. Minus a few niggles though, I think it's good enough to ink, don't you?  An informal reference sheet for an otter fan character I lazily call Pops; Runs a bar in the run-down Mission District of Central City. Loves good company, hates thugs, loves the shotgun that disperses said thugs.  Mrs. Miller, a minor secretary bird character in me and Lil Avii's awesome roleplay universe who has a nasty habit of breaking and entering her agents' homes for a debriefing. After all, we wouldn't want to disturb their sleep, now would we?  In a botched mission to nab a suspected kidnapper and terrorist, Aldagar is shot in the shoulder. In the midst of being stitched back together and suffering a team-wide chewing out by commander Detroit, said bear considers their strongman down for the count; Not on this puppy's life! A really quick comic I did in Western Art History to take my mind off the fact that the class was so damn boring. <3  A one-week assignment for my Adobe class; Using Illustrator, we had to create the front and back of any type of playing card we so chose-- The absolutely perfect excuse to trace a fuzzy Werehog. =SB Firsts=  A purdy spaniel dog, the "Animals" ambassador for the aforementioned advertisement. He didn't take nearly as long as I thought he would, and he was a heck of a lot of fun too. And decent fur practice to boot. (Original source photo)  A jittery, nervous cat with no name whom I've sketched every now and again for a few years. He is the "Cartoon" representative of the ad.
