The numbers show that it has potential. To put in perspective how well it did, I will provide the figures from the first two games as well as the third. Yakuza 1 First WEEK= 130k Yakuza 2 First WEEK = 281k Yakuza 3 First DAY = 232k It's doing better than ever and the previous ones were on a console with a much larger userbase. It's doing better than White Knight Chronicles and Star Ocean 4. I guess they just outdid themselves or people are finally catching onto the series. Think of it as a Japanese GTA/Shenmue type game.

A weapon who's blade is stained red With the blood of its countless victims. Were it alive, what would such a being feel? Would it live only to fight, And fight only to live? Would it be controlled By those with the skill to do so? I believe that it would cry For each person it has ever brought harm to, Its tears as red as the blood it has spilled.
