Personally, the only characters on that list I think should die are Crash, Laura, Master Chief and Kratos. All of them for the reasons listed in the article.

Link is an iffy choice but I can understand their reasoning. Again the "Sonic Franchise should start over" mindset is completely subject to interpretation and I guarantee that pulling such a brilliant move to some would begin the TRUE downfall of the franchise only because the other characters have their own followings as well. All SEGA has to do is MAKE IT WORK for as many people as possible.. I can't say everyone because this fandom is so divided that even the perfect Sonic game would get lambasted. Kratos should stay living for the same reasons as the Chief.. Slippy and Tony are definitely on my outgoing list. And no comment on the doctor duo. I suppose Crash and Lara are past their time as well and if they can't fix themselves.. should get the boot as well. And finally the Miis... make them useful and I will root for them a bit more. At least they were close to the only thing giving me some joy while I still had my Wii.

As for Sonic, the only thing we need to lose is the werehog and the Unleashed "new" type of game. Go back to the basics with any other characters, even in 3D, that should be ok.

I can only agree with Slippy, Crash, and I think Spyro needs to be added to that list. Other than that I can't say much about the other games (never/rarely played) I just think some of this stuff was a "pull some information out of the ass" excuse to write an article. Apparently IGN believes Sonic turned to crap with its sequel...

I don't get why you all complain about the things sites say about Sonic, they all just like to spit out the same things like a broken record. Just laugh at IGN, because a lot of those characters and games will stay the same for quite a while. :3
