Well, seeing as most FC guides say that, If making a hedgehog, You should have a different quill layout than a cannon character's and whatnot, I'ma need to Change Ryan's (the only FC I have, and the representation of me, basically) layout. But, I have no idea how to change them into something original, so I need a little help.

Any suggestions?

How about have it like Silver, with only two quills in the back, BUT have them above and below each other?
I have an interest in spriting. If anyone has a request, don't hesitate to ask.

Deep stuff below:

Na, That'd just be kinda like the way they do the quills on Sonic X. I was thinking more like Sonic's quills (maybe minus 1 or 2) I a different configurations or something.

I've always had problems making original quill designs, look at Diamond, I may change his if I ever think of a good design. When I do come up with good ones though, I usually don't mean to make them. If you don't know where this is going, just mess around. Experiment. That's all I can say. Draw random shit. It looks good, keep it. If not, start over.

Sounds like a good method. Especially since love drawing random shit. XD But still, I'm open to any suggestions.

Do people really read these?
Here are some possibilities.

1. Give him five quills, making the shape of a star.
2. Give him two quills on the side of his face that hang straight down, but use however many you want for the back.
3. Allow Ryan to be killed in some fanfic and replace him with a new, non-hedgehog character.

That's all I got.

Don't go too farfetched - make sure it looks balanced and flows.

Accessories are always a great help for spicing up a character's quills.

Like what? A band or strap?

EDIT: Oh, by the way, here's a short character description, If it might help.
Quote:

-Red Hedgehog, six quills on the back of his head, two spikes on his back, and a tail. Three Tails-esque hair flick on his forehead.
-Baggy dark blue Jeans, white, untucked Tee shirt, Daek blue jean jacket, mostly white shoes (look like Soap expresses), white gloves, green, grey-hardrimmed sunglasses on his head between his ears and hair flicks.
-Left arm is entirely mechanical up to the shoulder.
- 3 feet, 3 inches (100cm) tall.

Anything that human beings wear on or apply to their heads - hats, bands, masks, glasses, goggles, piercings, etc.

Well, he is wearing sunglasses- but I'm looking to change his Quill layout, not his wardrobe.
