I don't know where I'm going.
|
I haven't really seen a topic for this, so I want to start it. Practically every one on this planet knows of at least on Guitar Hero game. It could be the debut came, Rock the 80s, Legends of Rock, Aerosmith, World Tour, ect. Guitar Hero is a rythem game where you play a guitar by pressing five colored buttons on the neck that pop up on the screen. The objective of the game is simple; become the biggest band in the world. Getting there is another story. You have to play your way through a variety of songs from modern day and back to the ages of classic rock. With the recent release of Guitar Hero: World Tour, players can come together as a band playing four different musical instruments; The Guitar, The Drums, The Bass, and you can even sing through the microphone. Customizable features are also available, as well as custom music remixing. It's fun stuff. A new thing to Guitar Hero is band tributes. There has already been a game devoted to the legendary band, Aerosmith. Now, Guitar Hero moves up a decade to devote a game to the mosh-filled band, Metallica. Songs from the day, and songs from today are included in both these titles. Game Titles (chronological order): Guitar Hero Guitar Hero II Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s Guitar Hero III: Legend of Rock Guitar Hero: On Tour Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Guitar Hero: World Tour Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades Guitar Hero: Metallica Well, since I shared this background knowledge with you, I have a simple question. What are your thoughts on Guitar Hero? Discuss. ~Ben |

Eh, I find that Rock Band is much better. The Guitar Hero series was awesome until it switched to Activision, which meant compatibility problems, changes, and such. |

Yeah, but World Tour does the same thing, and so does the future release of GH Metallica. |

But they just copied Rock band by adding those things. I'm not saying Rockband didn't take the guitar thing, but RockBand was made to use a >Rock Band<, Guitar hero was all about guitar... |

I agree. I HATED World Tour because I felt like the Guitar controls in GH: World Tour got shittier and I felt like Rockband's instruments are much better. I sold World Tour and got Rockband 2 for the 360. So yes, I obviously prefer Rockband over Guitar Hero. But I'll stop my GH bashing right now since I don't want to change this thread into a Guitar Hero Hate thread.

Yeah, they are. Due to Activision being the money-wh*res they are, they paid little attention to the quality of the instruments. That meant the drums failing, the strum bars failing, the drum being recognized as a microphone, and incompatibility with Rock Band 2. However, Guitar Hero 1 and 2 rock. *no pun intended* |

Personally I think Guitar Hero>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>RockBand And to answer your question Skadi, GH is better on the newer systems in my opinion so I'd say get it for 360 because WORLD TOUR ROCKS! |

I know but it is still fun. Even though most of these songs I make is if you combined Guitar Hero with any fighting game. (Or at least any that all you need to do is button mash. Luckily I like button mashing... don't ask) And many of the one's I made are impossible. But I still think it's fun. It can also be fun to pull a prank. I made a track that only requires the strum bar and it is over. (You don't even need to hit it) I also made a track where the only note is at the end. |

I get all the Wii versions cuz that's all I have. ![]() To anyone and everyone: Get the PS3 and 360 versions. They have way more and/or better features than the Wii and PS2 versions. Heck, even the GFX are better. Not JUST that, but the guitar goes on fire and lightning on the 360/PS3. On the Wii/PS2, all ya get is a blue highway.
|
| Currently voicing Chris for SegaBridged's upcoming Sonic X Abridged series. Super stoked. Lots of talent in this group. | |
