Stupid things you have heard in a Gamestore

I've always wanted to do one of these topics here. When I'm in Gamestop, Wal-Mart, or whatever store you can think of that sells games, I always hear people ask rather stupid questions to the people that work there. Most of these questions either come from little kids or parents it would seem. You can name some of the things you have overheard or have been told by employees there. I know the people that work at mine, so we've chatted about it some.

Like this one time I was there in the local Gamestop just sorta browsing that day, and the telephone rings there. My friend answers the phone and starts to talk to some younger kid. The Kid then asked him if they had GTA 8! When the employee said no, he said the kid on the line said, "Then could you make it?". You really should have seen the look on his face when he said he heard that. Apparently the kid though the Gamestop not only sells the games, but makes them too.

So what are some of the weird things you all have heard in your stores over games?
I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles.

I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P

lol. I heard a lot of weird things. if I put one thing on though it would be at Walmart a guy employee was behind
the register when a guy customer walks up. the customer asks about which video game system he should buy.
the employee responds, I would get the wii because 360s focus on males. he was a male! I thought that was pretty funny.

Didn't you just said the customer was a guy as well. Confused, sounds like a bad comment from the employee. I mean, it would have been understandable perhaps if there was a girl in front. But saying that in front of a male. Like hello. XD

Anyway, I don't think I have any funny stories I am afraid.

Wow, TF, I've never heard anything quite that stupid... Although I have heard some stupid things... Some guy was looking at Ratchet and Clank in Gamestop and asked where the 360 version was. It's funny how if it doesn't have a logo saying "Only for Playstation, Xbox, Wii" people don't seem to know if it's exclusive or not.

Well, the other one I have, isn't really stupid, but typical of most parents you see go into a Gamestop with their little kids. The kids start looking around for games and the mom usually goes, oh look a game with some fuzzy animal in it, or the name of a popular tv cartoon and tells the kid to get it. They don't know if it is good for them or not, they get it just for the character on t he box.

There have been a couple of cases that were pretty idiotic. Once, an old lady walked in to a game store (which is closed now) and asked if they sold games. And the name of the store was Gamer's World. Another was someone asking a clerk what they thought of a game that hadn't come out yet, and asking the price of a game with the price tag on it. I almost died laughing. XD It's a good thing I was friends with the guy who owned the place, or I'd have been kicked out.

Clerks from both the local Wal-Mart and GameStop said Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World was too old.

That's not stupid, to be fair - at least not from an English POV. We've got a few chains that would have snapped those NES games up like a shot.

TF, the fuzzy character isn't stupid - that's just good marketing aimed at exactly that clientel. And it worked :) although I see what you're saying.

It was at Gamestop, and they stopped taking N64 a while back, and she was trying to trade in NES games.

Which yes, I do find funny, because obviously, that is a person that hasn't been in a Gamestop in about 6 or 7 years or something like that. That's about how long it's been since I've seen NES, SNES, and Genesis stuff in a Gamestop for sale.

Exactly what I meant by it. She hadn't been in Gamespot for a long time, so it was funny to see her try and trade those in.
