Your board broke the rules and you are very lucky to be docked only 10 votes. Actually, we only got like 3 or four more votes after Metallix decided to "bribe" us. I'm not here to argue with you but unfortunately that isn't correct.

I still can't use this. Right now, a whole bunch of generalizations are being thrown around the place and nothing is getting done in regards to finding a solution to this ugly issue.

Hazel mistakenly thought our huge amounts of votes was because we offered an incentive when in fact the community was not told about this contest until the VG Finale. Furthermore we had 37 votes before even CONSIDERING a Casino Park thing (something we HAVE done before as a random event).. not that it changes the fact that the Casino park is always the most active thread has been/will continue to be the most active topic on this site, not much incentive.. Sorry is sort of the type of explanation one gets when they get wrongfully blindsided and then the "higher ups" don't repeal whatever decision. Kind of like Super Bowl XL for any football fans out there. There was no poking, no prodding, and no forcing.. I guess if people want to consider random events around the same time they should just discuss it in their private Staff forums respectively, or else be docked for it. Kinda like how Illinois Governor Rob Blagojevich was impeached for talking about selling a senate seat (talk is cheap) and then appointed someone respectable only for that guy to be rejected and him to be impeached without him having the chance to prove his innocence just because the people with money and pull who wanted him out were going to get what they wanted (him getting the axe) at whatever cost. Whatever, it's over.. we may still get 1st or 2nd but if we don't (likely outcome), depending on the counts, I will be able to personally reserve in my mind whether or not we were cheated out of the round. The sad part about this from reading this full thread, you knew it was against the rules. Honestly - if you want to be angry at anyone, be angry at yourself. The competition has to be run fairly. Having a topic just asking your members to vote is fine, that's what we want. The outcome of this would be the same, regardless of what forum it occurred on.

If you want to count the Casino Park idea as a bribe then go ahead, I can't stop you.. all I know is that it didn't change the direction of anything. I can be angry at myself for not considering the second annual Casino Park event and how it could have impacted whatever you and your staff views sites in whatever asinine way you all decide to. I will be angry at anyone I want to be angry at, there's justification and then there's just flat out "Screw this site up for whatever reason we can find." Tell me how people voting for a site they frequent and love is cheating, 98% of all the people voted purely because of the fact that they love this place and you or noone else can make me KNOW otherwise, the other 2 would have voted anyways but only did faster. And to be honest.. I don't believe so for whatever reason. There is some degree of bias here whether someone is gunna admit to it or not. Anyways, if you still consider the round prior to this a fluke or a cheat (our jump to 28 votes) then bring proof, until then I would prefer that this site and it's community not be slandered by a hostile outsider.
