What is the difference between a duck?

 It's stupid bullshit to keep us down because we didn't force anyone to vote, we just made people aware... this is the way the world works and I cant say I'm surprised since people as a society are pathetic but who cares..

I'm not going to take injustice lying down... I can guarantee that Nicola will be hearing from me privately very soon.

 Well whatever, no need to get so angry. I don't really think what we did was bribing, because if it was it was a damn horrible bribe! XD I mean if we wanted to bribe members, we could come up with a lot better than that...

Just don't act in anger in that discussion you plan... It's just a contest after all, it really isn't that important to win.

 It isn't important but it is injustice nonetheless. All this thread did was make people AWARE of the competition and offer an imaginary can of corn. And we already had like 37 or 38 votes when we were considering the Casino Park option.. not that that is really a bribe, or really impacted anything.

This is just people holding us down with general rules that they can twist in whatever way they want. And also, Neo, don't delete this thread since because it isn't a bribery thread it is in violation of nothing and cannot rightly effect our standings no matter what Nicola says.

I just stopped bringing in logic when it comes to society in the years. We make no sense anymore... just like the Square root of negative 1 which can't exist but apparently does because someone said so...

I'm not so much angry but it does make me doubt the fairness of the Battle of the Boards, or if it is even a viable competition at all.

 I voted before the whol Casino Park thing. Y'all can check the date of my post here informing of my vote and compare it to the date when Metallix proposed the whole asino Park thing.

But if I must say, I was looking forward to it. Though I don't see it as bribery. Like Metallix said, if he wanted to bribe the members, heck, the tons of different and better things he could've offered! Not to mention how some people were already thinking of voting and that thing just motivated me. It was more like a reward, or better yet, a thank you gift for the contribution.

 If it was against the rules, it was against the rules, and thus should be punished. A bribe is a bribe, whether people voted because of it - or whether people see it that way - or not.

Though, now that I'm looking at the rules again, it says not to coerce users to vote. Coerce, by definition, basically means to force someone to do something. This wasn't forced in any way. The rules certainly could have been worded much differently.

 And it didn't change anything.. we talked about it for a little bit sure but I don't even see that as bribery because people didn't seem to care about it and people sure as H-E- *double hockeysticks* weren't forced or poked to death to vote. They all did so on their own accord...

Ya know.. maybe they're punishing us for offering an imaginary can of corn...

1st things first. Lets not threaten Nicola. She didn't make this decision, the staff as a whole did. I actually wanted you disqualified. The main reason for this? It was more than obvious to me, based on the amount of votes received in previous rounds, that the main reason members of this board voted was because they were offered something in return. Your board broke the rules and you are very lucky to be docked only 10 votes.

What would have happened had the other boards been allowed to offer this? The TZ would have offered a skin, the harry potter forum could have offered a bonus something or other. The main point here is fairness. It is not fair on the others who entered to allow you to go unpunished.

2nd. I was lurking earlier, not the person you think pointed us in this direction. I was also here when the underage discussion was going on so those posts were deleted a little too late. That's something I'll discuss with the admin.

Well I see how that would look bad, yes, however looks can be deceiving.

On the first point, I never even told the members about this contest until the Video Game Finals and I told them after the start of that round had begun. So we only got maybe 8 votes in the first few rounds, because no one here was voting for us in that competition. We had 28 in the VG Final because I decided it would be cool to see if we could actually compete and told people about it.

On the second point, we do not allow that kind of discussion here so it was deleted. Sonic Blast does not knowingly accumulate any information from members under 13 years.

Actually, we only got like 3 or four more votes after Metallix decided to "bribe" us.
