I'd normally never ever post anything about my life here but I'm just wondering if any of you have any good advice for me. My sister is psychotic, as I've mentioned before. She's never home, either, always at her boyfriend's, working or college. But when she is home... she's just a big bee with an itch to me. My dad and I are pretty close but when she comes home and we all talk about stuff together, she makes fun of me constantly, calls me stupid in roundabout ways and makes me seem inferior. Now, normally, I wouldn't give a care. But it's getting to the point where I don't want her around, and that's not what I want because she's my sister. I dread going anywhere with the family now because she's such a condescending jerk to me and it makes me really upset. Of course, I'd never talk to her about it because she thinks everything's a joke and would come up with some sort of witty retort. Anyone have any idea what I should do?

Siblings tend to do this all the time, sometimes without even really knowing how you feel about it. I suffer such abuse from my brother a lot of the time which, although stings sometimes, is still his way of showing that he's finally come to tolerate me as a family member. XP But even then, I've figured out that one of the best ways to conquer it is to simply play their own game. You'd be surprised how good it feels to corner them with your own wits and insults. However, if it is as out of hand as you say, I'd let your parents know how you feel about it. They'll certainly understand your plight and put a leash on your sister's backlash whenever they can.

Trust me, deep down no older sibling really wants to offend or hurt their brothers or sisters. I am an older brother, and sure I tease my little brother, but I would never intend to truly hurt his feelings. Just tell her, I'm sure she dosen't mean to really annoy you to that extent, or think that she is.

Is your sister older? It would help a lot if I knew whether she is older or younger. Plus the age would help also. If it's starting to hurt a lot then I suggest you talk to your parents, let them know what's going on. If you feel you shouldn't, I suggest either trying to insult her back, getting her out of her insulting rage, or sit her down and talk it over with her. Hope that helps. ~Flail, the Psychiatrist =P

They are realy a pest, though i am 22 and now she is 26. We are cainda getting better along with each other at this moment, though sometimes those fights are compleatly impossible to ignore as she realy naggs about. And we starts this so called who can the biggest insult we can come up with. Though we usually seperates before getting overhand like we sometimes did when we where both younger about at teenage. So trying to make fun of your sister is just gonna make it harder. Actually trying to avoid her when she arrives might be the best situation. It aint like the best way, though she might grew up and eventually get some sense on her small brats. Though consult it with your parents they might be able to help out.

She'll be twenty in May, I'll be eighteen in September, so we're nineteen and seventeen right now. Sorry for the short reply, I'll add a bit more to this when I get home 'cause she's here with me. We're at my grandparents right now (bored as hell, don't accuse me of being anti-social).

I am the same kind of person as your sister, and I know exactly what to do, turn the tables! People who do that kind of thing can't put up with it themselves, trust me, I know. If you can't decide how to fight back, then look up a way on the internet, if you have enough time to post the problem then you should have enough time to fix it. (Wow, that was deep considering what I usually say. Ex: "Nachos are the answer to all life's mysteries."
	Don't hate me cause I'm better than you. Hate me cause your girlfriend likes me more than you. Hate me cause I rob your house on a daily basis, hate me cause my car can actually be called a car instead of a rolling turd, and lastly, hate me cause my IQ is actually HIGHER than a shovel, frankly, I'm amazed you can read this. Anyway, don't hate me cause I'm better than you, hate me for the reasons I just listed. P.S.
