What would be totally cool is if they remade Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 in HD with upgraded graphics for Live Market and PS Store. Both bundled for like $30 would be awesome. Heck, I'd pay $40.

Yeah, a HD Verison, god forbid, no new voice actors please. Do not let Eggman's Old Voice die along with his corpse.

yes New Models and New Versions of Terrain, Objects would be cool.

It's an awesome idea, but it won't happen.

Game developers would probably make alot more money if they remade old games that sold well, rather than making new games with new ideas that will inevitably fail.

Yes, but not in HD version. If you've got not much memory having it in HD would fill up your XBOX 360/PS3 in less than 5 minutes. >_>

If they made an HD version, On the 360 and Ps3, it would probably take around 4-7GB on the 360, and 7-10GB on the ps3. They should put it on a disc, not from Live or PSN store.

Not really... You can buy Warhawk, Gran Turismo, Socom, and other full games on PS3. They're HD and don't fill em up that fast. I doubt it'd be more than 8 gigs if that.

That's kinda wierd. It must really depend on the model you snatch. D:

Well mine's 80 gigs, but most of those games I mentioned aren't full games(online only, or not finished). Still, unless you have a 20 gig 360 or PS3, there wouldn't be a problem.

Klonoa, a brilliant little platformer game that was released on the PS one oh so many years ago is getting a re-make and will be released this july. The whole game has been given next-gen graphics, tweaked physics, and a good few additional features.

Now wouldn't that be fanatastic. Take the adventure games, rework the looks to unleashed standards, tweak bits here and there, plus the odd additional feature. Release it on a proper disc, not downloadable content, and everyones happy.

I still can't use this.

I think it would take a ton of work to remake the Adventure games over to be on par with Unleashed, especially since the series and Unleashed run on two completely separate engines and have noticeable quality differences. They'd probably end up having to build the whole series again from scratch which I'm sure they don't want to do or would lead to a shoddy job if it were undertaken.

All in all, I wouldn't mind updates, but I'm not advocating them. Even though I like the series, I'm just not a fan of remakes. Unless you don't own the original, I don't get the whole logic in paying full price for something you already own just to look at prettier graphics. Put that energy and passion into making an entirely new and better experience.

I don't see the gain here. How much better is HD than the original? Actually, what is HD really? I agree with Bliz mostly. I usually buy remakes though...

Personally if they where remade I would rather see them remade on the Wii with motion controls. I know that there was SA2B and SADX on the gamecube and they where never on any Mircosoft or Sony system but HD graphics wouldn't be that to much different. But on the Wii they could add motions controls to the game which I think would be cool.

I think they are just done. If anything we'll have SA3, but no other remakes. I've got a question for you all. Has a game ever been remade 2 times? It seems very unlikely.

It wouldn't take a tonne of work. It would be much easier than developing a normal game. You don't need to design levels, characters, game engines. Those are already there. Theres no need to plan levels or story, that was all done. Its a case of replacing textures and character models with next-gen stuff. Klonoa staff at Namco did this to great effect. Why can't Sega. I mean, the task could be done within 1 - 2 years at the most.

Also, in terms of engines. Obviously you'd keep the game engine from the original game. Then with the graphics, its not that hard to apply the hedgehog engine.
