However, every time I make an RP, it dies faster than I can say "I wonder where everyone went..." So, I need help; I either need a concept that will take off, or I need someone to actually run the plot while I do the background math. Any and all help will be appreciated, but not with hugs. I'm not a very huggy person.

It's going to be set in modern to post-modern times, the plot has to run for long enough for characters to improve their abilities and skills and it has to be an idea that will turn heads. Apart from that, I've got nothin'. Will post up the character generation rules soon. It's easier than it sounds, thanks to the simplification.

You ain't alone on RP's dying all to quickly. Been doing several attempts and each one of em have failed. So coming up with something a few members can actually have interest to come back to, ain't easy that's for sure. Well, I was actually going to ask the very same thing to my own, but I could always come up with something if you need it. Well in all, maybe my help won't do any good. As they all fail whatever. XD. Maybe I join when time arrives. But for now, will have to struggle with my own stuff.

There's no character restrictions, so it's all up to the players I guess. Or, if you're speaking in terms of universe, then I'd like to keep things reasonably original. As for Kingdaro and DF... well, if our combined failing powers combine, we might be able to figure out what we're all doing wrong.

It just hit me too. well, it would go something like this, of course this is going with the backgrounds of whom ever joins. knowing most of everyone's main character, or characters, has some type of enemy that wants to take over the world or destroy it. This of course allows the player to choose a side of good or evil. Now, all the bad guys want to take over the world using their powers, technology, armies, dragons, hedgehogs, projects, creations, what ever. so! the bad guys decide to unleash all hell upon the world(earth) and the goods guys of course want to stop them and save the world.(duh) All of this can happen in a location so our characters can meet. or, happen in all different parts of the world and some characters meet some how. Okay, of course something as massive as a whole bunch of bad guys trying to destroy or take over the world, firing all kinds of blast, missiles, what ever, causes the world to give way under the pressure and starts to fall apart and break down. soon, it will explode. KABOOM! So, when everyone some how gets word that the world is going to explode, they form together and try to stop it from exploding. Everyone fails and is forced to board ships and find another planet. Of course the ships will be like city big or something(haven't thought about what happens while everyone is flying in space and how their getting in space crafts and such.) some how or another, they land on a planet. either crashed land and don't know where the hell they are, or simply just found a planet that is similar to earth and landed on it. now, everyone is on a new world and has to survive some how and make it their world or live with what ever creatures and aliens that maybe there. So! thats as far as I got...

LOL. In all seriousness, I like it; sounds like it has a lot of potential. Now... let's see where we can take that... Okay, I was going to post this yesterday, but I got kicked off the computer thanks to other commitments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -CHARACTER GENERATION- Create a new charater or adapt an old one; the rules accomodate everyone. Step 1: STATS All characters have 6 stats which start off with 8 points (10-11 is average for a normal person). STRENGTH - Physical power and brute force. DEXTERITY - Hand-eye co-ordination, reflexes, agility and balance. CONSTITUTION - Physical hardiness, resistance to ailments and damage and stamina. INTELLIGENCE - Problem solving ability, learning and reasoning power and overall knowledge. WISDOM - Willpower, common sense, perception and experience. CHARISMA - Strength of personality, persuasiveness and air of command. Characters begin with 25 points to increase their stats. It costs 1 point for 1 stat point until you hit 14; to go from 14 to 15 or 15 to 16, it costs 2 points for 1 stat point, and from 16 to 17 or 17 to 18 it costs 3! Example: Here's a stat sheet for a generic pilot. Str: 8 (you don't need much muscle to fly a jet) Dex: 15 (you do, however, need good reflexes and co-ordination to fly a jet) Con: 10 (combat piloting is not for the weak of stomach) Int: 14 (important for learning piloting basics and navigation skills) Wis: 13 (if you're not a perceptive pilot, you can easily end up crashing into something) Cha: 12 (good for intimidation purposes, I suppose...) Total: 25 points spent Step 2: SUB STATS Character also have sub stats, which are derived mostly from your main stats. Due to specific training and such, your characters will likely have some bonuses to these stats. ATTACK: How easily you hit things, either at a range or up close. DEFENSE: Evasion or ability to ignore damage. INITIATIVE: Reaction time, pure and simple. More important than it sounds, so don't ignore it. FORTITUDE: Metabolism, resistance and immunity. Derived from Constitution. REFLEX: Nimbleness, speed and ability to avoid unpleasant fates. Derived from Dexterity. WILL: Willpower, mental stability, self-awareness and resistance to tempation. Derived from Wisdom. You have 4 points to spend bumping these up, 1 point per +1. Choose wisely. Step 3: CHARACTER There are two parts to this step; Body and IQ. Body: Characters are either Low, Middle or High. This will determine HP. IQ: Again, Low, Middle or High. This will determine skill points, which I'll be fiddling aound with. Step 4: SKILLS This one is simple: just list any noteable skills or abilities your character has, no matter how trivial or mundane. If your character is a good driver or swimmer, put it down. If they have good electronic skills, or can knit or something, put it down. Heck, if they can JUMP really well, put it down. Anything. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ That's it; my system does the rest.

Now I have to go run and make a character for this. as well an evil over lord of some sort. but yea, I'll get to it! though, how often will we be getting points to beef up our characters and what needs to be done to get these points.

But, it always seem so complicated at least when I wanted to add the feature of actually increasing level up with your character and make up specific statistics for the specific race available and from there develop abilities from scratch literally. So yeah I love the idea on creating a complete new character as not everyone wishes to change their fan character in overall. As, I where just thinking about experience that would increase with each post. Actually somewhat a smaller, or I mean a lot smaller version then my crazy idea that I made up a while ago. It just wasn't going with all that information as it almost ended up like plans for a game rather then RP.
