With a blank battler's expression, he swings at a Vilent and misses. As the Vilent jumps back, Bently charges forward and slams it into a tree trunk with his horns. Jerking his horns out of the trunk, he threw a branch that had fallen at another Vilent's leg, tripping it. Chasing after it, he swings his sword and doubles back on the swing, knocking them Vilents around to the ground. Smiling, he impaled the earth with his blade's tip, then twisted it. As the sword twisted, a shower of rocks shot from the blade and went through several Vilents, killing one of them. He then looked at the two that were dead and said loudly, "Something's wrong. Something is very, very wrong."

They first tried to break their way through the shield, to no avail, so they started trying to sneak around it and penetrate any cracks in her miniature fortress. "I can't keep this up..." she said, and then it occured to her that she could flashstep. She teleported to an open space a few yards away, and then dashed for the offensive towards her four opponents. She split Elytra in a rather dramatic way, unintentionally, with a result of a pulse of fine red light rippling towards them. "Wow!" she exclaimed. The vilents were knocked to the ground; it didn't seem to be much more than a shock wave, but at least she was no longer surrounded. "Something's wrong. Something is very, very wrong," said a nearby goat in what seemed to be a relatively calm (if slightly disturbed) manner, despite vilents rushing past and people fighting. It didn't seem to make sense to Ruby - after all, he had just killed a vilent and knocked back several others. Ruby recognised him from the gate, he was another student. "What, you need some help?" she offered.

He studied his battleground to hopefully get a good analysis of the environment, and to use it to his advantage should the oppurtunity arise. "They're certainly taking their time..." He muttered under his breath as he waited for the time to come. Kadent then positioned himself in an offensive stance, and began concentrating his spirit energy so he could get a jump start on the enemy.

Shin and Joltia sprung into action, fending off what ever came their way. But, Joltia was the only one to really move about and be everywhere he can be to kill off the Vilents. Shin staid close to Ysaro to insure he wasn't overwhelmed. The Vilents seem to have no end to how many they can pour out, as they kept coming and pouring in. Though easily defeated, at this rate some of the soul reapers would become overwhelmed and maybe become injured. "Just a little bit longer, and this first wave will end. Their numbers seem to be decreasing, but its hard to tell with all of them running about and flooding in like an endless army of them. Its a good thing their not hard to defeat." Shin thinkgs to himself as he suddenly heard a soul reaper shout in pain. quickly looking to his left, he watched as one of them was slowly turning into a Viless while a Vilent had its soul slayer stabbed into his chest. Shin quickly leaps back and slices the head of the Vilent which caused it to explode as the soul reaper fell to the ground in pain. Shin suddenly lashed out Inferno's flames upon the soul reaper on the ground and killed him instantly. "Once a soul reaper begins to change into a Viless, he can not be saved. Death is the only way to cure him. Thats what every soul reaper would want if such a horrid thing would happen. We must be more careful. They become more aggressive as their numbers decreased." Shin thinks to himself as he looks upon the dead soul reaper for a moment. "Everyone! Stand together! The second wave will becoming soon. Form up with your partners and stay together!" Shin orders and the soul reapers begin to form up with their partners. Shin then leaps over to Ysaro and stands at his side. as more Vilents pour out. Soak keeps slaying them with ease and keeps hatching them down. He was close to Bently though, as he was ordered to stay by his side. "Second wave will be approaching soon! Form up!" Devi shouts. Soak leaps towards Bently and slides next to him. "hey! come on! Just don't stand there! you'll get yourself killed!" Soak shouts at Bently as he sliced through a Vilent and leaps towards another. Gonto leaps towards Ruby and slides in front of her, blocking her off from Looking at Bently. "Now now, we have our own battle to fight. leave each sector to their own battles. if everyone soul reaper would want to help another sector, we'd run out of soul reapers here. Come on, this way please!" Gonto shouts as he sliced open a Vilent that attacked Ruby from behind. "Okay everyone, form up! The real fun part is going to start soon... Well, lets hope not." Gonto tells them with a smile and continues to take out some more Vilents. "Hey! We're fighting Vilents! Lets go!" Ein shouts as he dashes off towards Hens and Kane, fighting along side their sector of soul reapers. Suddenly, a rip in the air appears and inside laid nothing but pith black darkness. Out form there, Vielnts begin to pour out like a flood, attacking any soul reaper they saw and began their attack. Eclipse leaps into action and begins fighting them off with ease, as if taking them out wasn't all that difficult. though, Eclipse staid close to Kadent, for he was ordered to and knows Kadent has never fought a Vilent until now.

His strength slightly depleted, word goes around that another wave is to begin; high above, the sky rips open, darkness pouring down to the ground, the enemy set to kill any they see. Three come after the wolf, with his axes in each hand, growling loudly to them as he charges forward. Two lunge forward in a crazed manner, the wolf sliding underneath and slicing at their leg tendons. Bouncing from the ground, the third one executes a downward slash; Bane takes a step to the right and hacks an axe to its right side. Leaping on it, he grasps the other one tightly and brings it down to its head, right down the middle. Roaring as he grasps the other axe to execute an overkill on the vilent, his eyes forming an outer ring formation on the eye. Looking back to the other two while the vilent he perches on begins to fall, he grasps his axes tightly in each hand and lunges towards them to cut through their midsections; instantly, another vilent appears and tackles the wolf in mid-air, the two rolling on the ground, the vilent hurling the wolf sky-high, his axes to the ground. His yelling can be heard just as the vilent leaps after Bane, sticking its claw straight up, ready for impaling him...

He immediately grabbed Hydro and activated it, then got into an offensive stance. He watched Eclipse rush in to attack as he did this. As though it was being called upon, one of the Vilents immediately charged toward Kadent. Feeling a small fear spark in his heart, Kadent tried to shield himself from the blow. The Vilent knocked him back, and proceeded to claw its way towards Kadent. "Hurgh!" He cried out as he was being harassed by the creature. Kadent continued to hold on until he spotted an opening in the particular Vilent's attack pattern. Acting quickly, he waited for the same moment to come around, and swung Hydro at the Vilent's body with a horizontal slash. The attack knocked the Vilent back, but it was not yet done in. "These things sure are serious, they won't let up!" He said aloud as he braced himself for the Vilent's second charge.

Scoffing at this, he manages to push his body back and avoids the claw, staring directly at its uniquely-shaped body, throwing two strong punches to it to see if they would do anything. Landing hard on the ground, causing a small shockwave to form from the fall, he retrieves his axes and finds to be surrounded by half a dozen, only angering him more. "You want to take me??" he questions them, only hearing snarling and taunts coming from them. Bringing the heads of both axes together, he forms a large scissor-like formation with them and charges forward, the vilents not showing a bit of hesitation.

Sage looks towards the rip in the air as it closed. "This battle isn't over! Do not let your guard down! After all the Vilents here are finished, we move forth to help the soul reapers!" Sage tells them as he leaps towards Bane's side, Sage lashes out his sword upon a few more Vilents the lingered around. Suddenly a solar beam wipes out a large group of Vilents and some that was heading towards Kadent. "They are retreating, Kadent. Which means that this attack was not run by a leader but a small group of Vilents that lost their leader. Vilents tend to do this when their leader dies." Eclipse explains to him as he slashed down another Vilent.

He swept his weapons from side to side, clearing a small area around him; he needed some room to pull this off. As soon as the Vilents were clear, he clipped the sheath to his belt and held his katana in two hands. "Let's see how you pests fare against this!" he snarled. With a grunt of exertion, he cleaved the air with the blade, aiming at a group of oncoming creatures. They staggered drunkenly, a few of the smaller ones keeling straight over, and a green mist escaped from their bodies, draining straight into the sword. The hedgehog felt his strength growing as that of his foes waned. I've never drawn this much energy from so many victims at once, he mused, I just hope I can contain the energy... But even as the thought crossed his mind, he began to feel a violent trembling in his limbs and his vision wavered slightly. "Ah hellfire..." he muttered, taking a step back. The flow of mist ceased and the Vilents began to recover somewhat, albeit severely weakened.

Donning the Outfit Posts: 1,863 Group: S Rank Hero Member #1,450 Joined: June 23, 2007	The middle vilent is struck down as the wolf closes the scissor-like formation of the axes towards its midsection; afterwards, Bane leaps off its right thigh and hacks away at the head, finally coming off in four harsh tries. The other two scratch at the wolf, causing him to let go of the axes, falling to the ground alongside them. Scrambling to his feet, he finds the other two charging directly after them, holding a right palm out, uttering the following: "Slow." To his dismay, it had no effect on them and succeeded in knocking the wolf down, scratching violently on his chest, face and stomach. This further intensified his anger, the same voice from earlier speaking to him once more... Until you find a source of the Dark Sands, you powers from before have waned. In return, you are stil lable to perform a forceful shockwave as a defensive measure until you regain your lost strength. Do not rely solely on your axes... On the ground with his weakened arms, he pounds on the ground as hard as he could, an unknown force generated from him, shoving the vilents right off of him. Using that same force to push him off the ground to his feet, he slightly holds his right palm in front weakly and uses it again, this time, sending the vilents through another chamber of the grounds. His wounds slightly recover; his body then trembles and takes a knee to the ground, his energy nearly spent from the generation of the forceful pushing. He is unaware of another trio falling right above him...

"So, they'll be more coordinated with a leader compared to this? Yeesh." Seeing the creatures dissapear one-by-one, he could only wonder what might happen next. Focusing his energy into Hydro, Kadent anticipated the next attack from a Vilent horde. He was starting to feel uneasy about what was happening, and one could confirm that by the perspiration going down his neck.

"As for now, you'll have to stick with us. Scan has been called into the world of the living." Ein tells him as he sheathed his soul slayer and looks around at the other soul reapers. "This little problem should be wrapped up any minute now." He adds as Hensa suddenly appears at Ein's side with Kane. "The other sectors are finishing up. Because of this attack, all the captains that are training are told to speed up the process." Hensa tells them. Shin forms up beside Ysaro with his soul slayer drawn and ready to finish this. "Are you well, can you still fight?" He asked as he staid focus on a few remaining Vilents. "They have retreated and failed at their attempt." he adds to let him know that the battle is shortly over. A sound of a sword slicing through something echoed above Bane. Three Vilents cut in half fall in front of him and explode into nothingness. Sage soon drops down in front of him and looks over his shoulder upon him. "Its over. The Vilents are defeated." Sage tells him as he turned around to face him. "Also, Vilents don't always attack from your normal four sides. They also attack from above you and sometimes from under you, depending on your situation." Sage adds as he sheathed his soul slayer. "Look sharp." Eclipse's voice tells Kadent as he formed up next to him. "Though these Vilents don't have a leader, a high rank Vilent must be in charge. Which means once that Vilent is killed, they see no point in fighting so they flee." Eclipse informs him. "And by the look of it, that leader had already been killed." He adds as the Vilents suddenly stop and stare for a few seconds before dashing the other way to escape. Eclipse sheathed his soul slayer as he watched them run away and waits for his captain to report on the current situation.
