With a deep breath, he then calmly removed his glasses, put them in his breast pocket, placed his face in his hands and exhaled. "I think I need a coffee..." his muffled voice replied. "Take-out it is, by the sounds of it," Rachel chuckled. |

It's the stuff of legends all right." She tapped her chin and wondered if she could write a poem about the situation. Tim turned around and, walking backwards, gave a snort of amusement. "A Three Musketeers analogy could be drawn here, but for the fact that none of us carry muskets and that the Musketeers were all men." "The French practically invented chauvinism, Read, need I say more?" "You make a solid argument," Tim agreed, turning around again, "Speaking of the French, isn't there a small cafe around here? Last time I was in Station Square, there was a rather nice one, but ironically I never caught the street name." |

"Could be... hang on..." Tim replied. He shut his eyes, a slight frown developing on his features, and cast his mind back... Pulling the car up at the hotel... Too far back. Holding a newspaper over his head, the smell of rain and soaking paper washing over him in the downpour... Just a bit further... ah. Freezing the memory with accuracy rivalling a paused video, Tim let his mind's eye run over the building's facade. Total recall... what would I do without it? With a small, sharp intake of breath, the fox pulled himself away from the memory and opened his eyes. Cy-Fox tilted his head in surprise and then hastily recollected his senses. "It would have been more efficient if you simply said yes." He then approached the Crown Victoria that Tim and Rachael had seen earlier and opened the driver side door. Surprisingly enough, there was no dent on it. |

Rachel stifled a grin, putting her hand to her mouth for a second, as if holding back a cough. She turned her head towards her partner, who was slightly raising an eyebrow and trying very hard not to let his jaw drop. "He's more obsessive-compulsive than you, Read," she quipped, a small smirk managing to find it's way onto her features. As she stepped towards the other side of the car, Tim cast his eyes upwards. "This is going to be interesting." With a small shake of his head, he jogged to the car, allowing his keen eye to run across it, drinking in every tiny detail. |

He then reached up and adjusted the mirror so that he had a good view of both Timothy and the rear window. |

The pair both assumed sudden thoughtful poses. "Er..." "Well..." "We... move around an awful lot," Rachel said slowly, "so we're... nnnng... not exactly familiar with, ah, general knowledge when it comes to people." Seems to regard himself as two separate entities... Tim noted silently. "Although, Miles is a much more natural name," Rachel continued as she clicked her seatbelt in, "I personally would prefer it to the former. Well, if I were a guy that is." "It means 'soldier' in Latin," the parapsychologist said, taking a pen and notepad from the inside of his coat, "Very fitting." |

He sighed and turned the key and then stamped on the brake as he shifted into reverse. "I'm not even from this timeline. No way of getting back, so the government decided that with a few edited records that all the sudden OCP Security Concepts makes advances in their RoboCop program and I'm now the best protection money can buy. Armed with dual .45 automatics, protected by this suit of damascium, which is 95.15% Type-5610 Carbon Steel Composite, 2.10% diamond frost, 1.25% carbon, 0.85% titanium, 0.5% tungsten and 0.15% manganese. Long story short, no need to feel guilty when I pull a Kevin Costner and take the bullet(s)." |

The pen dropped from Tim's grasp halfway through Miles' speech, his expression frozen in shock. He tried to say something, but his tongue seemed to stick in his mouth. Time travel? he thought, brain working furiously to decipher what he'd just heard, That's imposssibl- no wait, waitwaitwait, I've heard about cases like this, but then again... Gods, the implications of this... and then... hang on, whoa, let's just back up a bit here... "If you can take a bullet," he dimly heard Rachel laugh, "You'll be just fine; the worst I've had to deal with in this line of work was a seventeenth century Ming Vase to the head." |

"Expensive and painful, I take it." Cy-Fox replied and then pressed down on the accelerator lightly, making the car ease out of its parking spot. It cranked the wheel to the right, causing it to face right and then Cy-Fox pressed the brake again to shift into drive. He then pressed on the accelerator again and eased the car out onto the highway. |

Shaking off his stunned daze, Tim removed his glasses and rubbed the corners of his eyes. With a deep inhalation, he resolved to get all the answers for his questions, but not before he was fully awake; he had the distinct feeling that he was not in the right state of mind for all this talk. Nevertheless, he marvelled at Rachel's apparent indifference to the fact that they had just met a time-traveller. I'll never figure out how she does it... he mused, shaking his head as he looked out the window beside him. The view was instantly recognizable, even though he'd only been in Station Square once. From the highway, he could see several buildings that he had passed during his stay... even the hotel, although that was a fair way into the distance. Still looking outside, he placed his glasses back on and reached down to grab the pen at his feet; writing was hard to do when one had nothing to write with. |

Slightly surprised by the abrupt question, Tim tapped his chin with the pen. "A lot less 'feel good' than the Ghostbusters franchise makes it out to be," he said, "Although it's certainly thrilling and satisfying work. I guess there isn't really a way to describe it collectively; the experience is different with each individual case. Sometimes it's just a poltergeist stirring up trouble, other times it's a rash of killings perpetrated by a dybbuk..." He patted his satchel and added, "Even when you're prepared for anything, you're always one step behind." |
