The barren icescape now having melted away sufficiently and the results in, the three judges were happy that the tournament was progressing with at least a degree of success. But now it was time to take things up to another level, another stage.

For now, the combatants were about to enter the final, crucial stages - the semi finals. Team Swift Claw, ready to jump in and bite and claw their way to victory. Team GFX - resourceful, and a good pair of friends co-operating fully. Team Metal Knights, making full use of any surroundings and each other to get as far as they have. And finally TF and Serenity, a pairing that had done very little to get this far and would be very fresh for the upcoming battles.

"So, master Architect, what are your plans for the next stage?" the dark robed one known as the Master of Darkness asked, still cowering behind the dragon after his previous comments. The dragon's tail twitched slightly; at first it was amusing but now the man's cowardice was beginning to bore him. He'd have to impale him on one of his long talons if this kept up.

The Architect looked over the landscape - everything was still bubbling away in the lake like a giant jacuzzi, and the surrounding snowfields had all but melted, revealing a mass of trees. Dead, having been exposed to the extreme chill for too long. Exposed, having not borne vegetation for some years now. The wildlife was non-existent and the soil was smoother than a baby's backside.

"I'm thinking," the human said slyly, "that this area is actually suitable to go again. But I think I'd better put my own spin on things, y'know? Make things a bit different."
As the Master nodded in agreement, the dragon looked away and snorted. He had no objections. The Architect then waved his right hand a little, in a rough circle to his side. His fingers danced in random patterns as they gathered magical energy from the surrounding habitat. Rather than the previous angry fires that he struggled to conjure, this was a greener, more natural colour he was pulling out of thin air. Gently, he allowed his arm to flow towards the landscape beneath them and flicked his fingers to allow the green magic to flow freely.

The green aura sparkled as it streamed downwards into the lake. It flew through the waters silently and came into contact with the large fireballs, which also turned green. Now the previous jacuzzi effect was replaced with a burst of green light, illuminating the purified water with a gentle glow of nature.

"Hold onto your wigs, fellas. This is gonna be fun."

Almost immediately, the ground shook in a most fierce fashion, an earthquake of a most horrendous magnitude. The crowds below were protected by the bubble that still surrounded them; protected them from all outside elements. But the cave beneath their stands began to crumble a bit as it raised up at the back. From within the cave, an underwater river burst out and flooded the cave, pouring into the lake.
The lake meanwhile, was getting decidedly narrower and narrower - finally reaching the point where it became a river. Clicking his fingers a couple of times, a couple of rope bridges appeared at various places.
The Architect of the tournament still wasn't satisfied. "So we have a river... aha, I know what's missing."

He wiggled his little finger in his ear, then sneezed.

The previously dead trees suddenly blossomed into life, and yet more trees burst forth from the previous waste land, each growing tall to block out the light from the now raging sun. Vines grew up and around many trees, and bushes and other plantlife sprang up. It also seemed that the trees themselves were much denser than usual...

A final click of the fingers and various wifelife appeared - poison frogs, crickets, monkeys...
"Behold, my fellow tournament officials. I have turned your horrible iceland into a beautiful tropical paradise!"

The Master took a look over the balcony, down towards the ground. All he could see were treetops, and the hint of the river twisting its way through the vast jungle.
"And so how do you propose to see how everyone is fighting, huh Captain Dipshit?" he asked, trying to restrain his mocking. "Unless you've got X-Ray vision, then you're not going to see jack. A good job I'm not judging let ME tell you."

Funnily enough, we do. For sure you are not judging, because it is clearly much effort to be setting the scene, no? We would not be wishing to make you do more work than you are doing currently, haha.

"Get out of my head DF, and shut up."
"Oh no, the big blue one has a good point," laughed the Architect, adjusting his tuxedo to cater for the new heat levels and humidity that had now appeared. "We wouldn't want you to work too hard."
"But... I..." the Master realised he was beat. He had no witty comeback. His eyes then flickered red as an evil thought entered his head.
"I **Bleep**ed your momma GOOOOOOOD."

A click of the fingers, and the Architect chuckled. For growing on the Master's coat was a large variety of plantlife - mostly flowers in full bloom. The black-robed one, realising what had happened, was silent. He instead walked away slowly - most likely to remove the offending items.

That was mean, the dragon said with a hint of happiness in his voice. You be doing that more often now won't you? He held out a paw, which the human high-fived.
"Dude, anything to piss off that douche-bag."

He then returned his attentions to the battlefield.
"The scene is set - a horrible, hot and sticky jungle! Visibility will be an issue for you I'd imagine, so try not to trip up on any roots or dead branches that may be lying around. I call forth to the arena nowTeam GFX and Team Swift Claw, and may the best team go forth to the grand final, and a chance to win the ultimate prize!"

Dak trodded along the base of a tall palm. The brown leaf litter was cool and damp under his large paws, and warm mist wafted amongst the green vegetation of the newly grown jungle. It was a complete turn-around from the cold, dry hell that was their last battlefield. Warm sunlight filtered through the thick canopy in golden rays, and a myriad tropical animals called and sang out in one millenias-old composition.

The wolf stopped, opening his jaws and letting his tongue hang as he panted in the muggy heat. His head slowly turned from one direction to another as he surveyed his new surrounding. The place was thick with vegetation, curtained by mists, and muffled with the sounds of wildlife and water. It was the perfect hunting ground. It would be an easy task to keep quiet and concealed in the emerald jungle, and Dak was going to take full advantage of that fact. He was, after all, of a hunting species.

He continued on, deeper into rain forest. He was careful to not make a sound as he walked along, but was completely focused on finding his opponents before they found him.

Sorry for my ridiculously long posts all the time! 8P

"Gawd yes"
The stifling heat of the tropical jungle was a much welcome change, compared to cold and harsh conditions of the icy ring before. Lush green tree's towered above the combatants like grand pillars of bark. Pyro entered into the jungle, keeping a watchful eye. Twitching at even the smallest snap of a twig. The deep jungle was more than likely to cause confusion, and thus spiraling paranoia. It was going to be important to keep a cool head, even despite the soaring temperatures. Not only that, Pyro himself would even have to make sure that he did not end up burning down part of the vegetation.

For once, neither team mate was late for this round. A success to say the least. Pyro had decided to go first, considering his team mate did indeed take the first honors last time around, despite a later than usual showing. He was currently looking around for any site of an opponent, eager to get going as soon as possible. But the thick jumble of leaves and wood, made it hard to even spot anyone, close or far.

I still can't use this.

After the battle's results were displayed, Al sauntered the edge of the lake and went right back to his prior napping spot in the holding area.

But sleep was out of the question. He was feeling too relieved, too excited to let his mind rest. In hindsight, to still be in the running after the ordeals of magic-induced weather, snippy judges, a bratty hedgehog (who got kicked off of his high horse, the jerk!), and his unfortunately short battle with a charming shape-shifter was quite the test for a boy raised in the woods.

To stand on the peak of that made it clear that he was capable of anything in this tournament and beyond, and that his imperfections and mistakes and birthright didn't matter like they did back home. It finally hit the little terrier. There was absolutely nothing to fear.

Al chuckled, crossing his paws in soaking in the waters of renewed confidence, but the bath would be short lived as he could feel the signals of the judges' meddling again. They were hardly startling, but now intriquing. He pawed towards the ground and sat on his haunches facing the exit, arms splayed to brace against the shockwaves. His feathered tail even wagged a little through the process.

When everything died down, he got up-- remembering to bring his bow and arrows this time-- and headed out, but not before being struck with the ambiance of exotic wildlife. Frogs heaved, monkeys grunted, birds sang, water crashed and the leaves danced. From there he ran out, hoping to substantiate his awe quickly....

It was... a rainforest... as glorious as he could have ever imagined!

"Waaooow...."

The livelihood of the battleground flooded his body with energy, further tuning his senses as he began to familiarize himself with the surroundings. He heard his partner walking around, just as excited as he was that he was now back in an element that was without the imperfections of his temperate home:

The soft ground and moss masked his steps much better than the dry leaves and dead grass. The noise was more prevalent, covering up his own movement through the brush. Smells popped to life from the humid heat which eventually put a pant on his chest. The canopy's thick shadows and neighboring spots of sunlight would help provide excellent camouflage.

It was all laid out; his personal reward for just sticking it through.

After taking off the blue sweatshirt and white muscle shirt, he rejoined his partner silently, hoping not to startle him or reveal themselves.

I don't know who our opponents are... but that doesn't matter. We're going to the finals.

*sorry for the wait.. I am, after all working on that Halloween pic ^^*

Walking back into the arena for the third consecutive time didn't change the general surprise Saffron always got when seeing how dramatically things could change in this place. Leafy canopy, green and lush.. hot and sticky. Maybe it was a bit uncomfortable but not a bad place to ever take a nap if one had to!

"Pyro, I think you're going to enjoy this even more than me!"

Still lagging a bit behind his firecracker friend he did realize the type of advantage an arena of kindling and green-ness would pose for this team, sad that Pyro would be starting for them, this place was actually pretty comfortable.

Just hope ya don't burn it all down before I get in.. He thought.

As Team GFX made their way in, Saff was sure that he had his weapon, bringing it in dangling on a strap on his back, no more forgetfulness should result in less pain, or hopefully so.

Hopping up on a tree branch and expecting another wait, again he was disappointed, not far away he saw and heard and saw their opponents coming, and for once, he recognized them.

"Swift Claw, ya made it after all. Now this.. this is a fight I will look forward to," He spoke to himself with a slight grin remembering their first encounter in the cafeteria before the festivities even began.

Sucks I'm in second.

Pyro acknowledged that saffron had accompanied him, but he remained silent. He was solely focused on the task at hand. Pyro and Saffron had fought their way into the semi finals, but there was still something niggling away inside Pyro's mind. He couldn't shake the fact that in every match, he had taken only a small part in the actual match. His conscious should have been clear, but it just wasn't. The doubt still remained. The doubts that he was actually holding his own weight out there.

It was still unsure which opponent they would face first, but there would be no doubt after the first blow was struck. For now, Pyro began wandering deeper into the jungle that had been created. The deep silence echoed even smallest sound, but there was still no sign of an approaching opponent. Pyro could feel his own heart thumping against his chest, partly from anticipation, but partly from the constant sense of unease that was surrounding his thoughts. But for now, he just waited for the first move to be taken.

Upon hearing all this, the Master faked a yawn. "Y'could, like, get on with the fighting guys. We've got a booking for this balcony at 5pm; I believe The Architect is skinning Big the cat for his crimes against Sega fandom..."

A snort through the tuxedo-wearing one's nostrils confirmed this, Spin clearly unhappy with the big fat cat.

"And you don't want an angry judge, no sir...." he trailed off as he folded his arms and walked away with a slight cockiness in his step. As an afterthought he clapped his hands. The inactive fighters would be teleported to the great balcony, to watch over the battle below.

[MoD your evil.]

Dak made hardly a move of acknowledgment as Ald approached. His eyes were already fixated on Saffron, who had revealed himself by climbing into tree. His ears flicked about, eventually settling on the other opponent. He could hear him through the flora; he was rather loud for any kind of.. prey...

It may not have been the temperate variation, but this forest was still a forest. It was enough to kick the young canine back a few primordial paces- back to the route, the hunt, the kill. Dak's lips parted in a clandestine snarl, and he licked his chops, almost tasting a freshly killed carcass behind his jaws. His heart raced and senses tensed, his back hunched and mane rose. Every snap of a twig or rustle of leaves become the err of some base animal to be preyed upon, each noise driving the wolf to that predacious edge he very rarely had a chance to visit.

His mouth began to water as tongue rolled across chin and disappeared behind an ivory cage of fangs. It didn't help that the blood of his last few opponents hadn't all been cleaned from his features, and it's salty taste was even more of an allurement to rip flesh again.

So, it was almost predestined that, when Aldagar did show up, Dak had no acknowledgments to show for it. Almost instantly the wolf spun around with a snarl, snapping down on air before barking at his own partner. The savage gesture rolled right into the next: a silent slink into the brush, and off of the field.

Bloodlust was a torturous mindset, but like any good predator, Dak still had plenty of patience.

What is the difference between a duck?

Making himself comfortable as he waited to be teleported up to the balcony, Saffron looked down on Dak and Al, retaining a semi-cocky grin throughout. He saw in that cafeteria how unpredictable the former could be and, while he may not have seen him in action, Saffron was doubting how dangerous Dak really was, he couldn't completely shake him since both teams had to have a pair of good fighters to make it to the Semis, there was just something about Dak that made him seem less threatening. He knew that he was spotted and he could care less, but he knew that at least Dak was aware of Pyro's location.

Saff was intent on observing both of them, their mannerisms, while he had the chance.. he knew he would be in against either or. He was even surprised to see how.. primal.. Dak could become so quickly. He could tell that said canine was more interested in turning either him or his partner into his after dinner snack than just winning the fight. Very wolf like... he definitely fit the breed.

"It's not part of my plans to be digested anytime soon.." He spoke to himself, just loudly enough that either opponent could pick up on it if they were paying attention.

Al approached Dak which resulted in a short little confrontation ending in a bark. He watched as the wolf wasted no time in disappearing back to the sidelines, looked like Al was going to start the festivities for them.

"Hey mut it's been awhile!" He said playfully to the remaining opponent from atop his branch. "Happy you could make it." He smiled a bit more realistically before his closing words. "If you don't get fried, and if I don't get eaten alive.. maybe we can see eachother again when all this is said and done." Outside of his team, Al was the only person he had at least a slightly above neutral encounter with..

Lets just hope a Team GFX win doesn't do anything to sour that.. He thought as he felt the teleportation begin, motioning a quick quirky salute he wished his partner luck and disappeared from the foliage.

Re appearing above he looked down, only to see a treetop canopy. Not being able to see very well could possibly prove to be a worry for him.. He still had Dak on the back of his mind, Sharp teeth usually don't mix well with fur and flesh, especially his own. The fighters would now be alone, and the fight could now really begin.

*Hopefully that makes up for my weak intro. I had more time to write this up.*

I still can't use this.

[Bah, apologies for my lateness. To make up for it, long post is long. xD]

At the first mention of a name, Al directed all senses towards his front. He wasn't fazed from his opponents' entry, but further excited as he could immediately recognize the voice. His very first friend here from the cafeteria, Saffron, had emerged into the cluttered forest. He had made it after all.... Pleased that both had upheld their promise, he curled his black lips up into a wide grin as he was noticed, then sitting down.

Darth Saffron

"Swift Claw, ya made it after all. Now this.. this is a fight I will look forward to"
"Aye, and you've made it as well," he nodded, "Don't hand us this win. I want to see if your skills truly are worthy of that argumentative mouth of yours."

Forgiven but not forgotten was Saffron's rude statements about his appearance when approached earlier that day.

Claws raking the dirt, Al geared up for the prospect of taking a chunk out of him, but his eagerness suffered a blow as the other opponent stepped deeper into the jungle. Under their rule of alteration and Dak having taken the first charge last time, it stood to reason that he should be facing this odd creature instead. His brow flattened as his fun had been partially wasted on this cruel set-up, but his pouting was ceased by the blatant arrogance of the judge.

Rouge X Darkness

"Y'could, like, get on with the fighting guys. We've got a booking for this balcony at 5pm; I believe The Architect is skinning Big the cat for his crimes against Sega fandom...

"And you don't want an angry judge, no sir...."
"Why don't you actually uphold yourself to your 'mighty' standard for once and just be patient?"

He shook his fur and nudged his hackles slightly in the air. He figured (hoped) that irrelevant backtalk wasn't against the rules, following the command nevertheless to keep from encumbering his wrath. Walking away, he quickly shot forward a step after feeling the peculiar wind of a hard bite. Al turned around to his partner, his nose in the direct path of several muggy-breathed barks. He refused to retaliate not only for the sake of his own hide, but from the confusion of the endeavor....

Did Dak actually recognize his back talk as morally wrong?....

Preposterous, he's too stupid. Redirected aggression, I presume.

Waving it off with a flick of the tail, he attempted to put focus back onto his mission, but another interjection halted him.

"Mm?"

Darth Saffron

"Hey mut it's been awhile!" He said playfully to the remaining opponent from atop his branch. "Happy you could make it." He smiled a bit more realistically before his closing words. "If you don't get fried, and if I don't get eaten alive.. maybe we can see eachother again when all this is said and done."

Lets just hope a Team GFX win doesn't do anything to sour that..
"Win or lose... I look forward to meeting you once more."

He gave the hedgehog a tail wag before quickly disappearing into the forest, taking refuge under several thick ferns.

'Fried', eh? Ha ha, thanks for letting me know he has fire elemental abilities, Saff... not that I shouldn't have figured so from the name. 'Pyro'; how ridiculously obvious.

He shook his head from the oversight and proceeded to calculate.

Damn. I've never been a glutton for elemental abilities. One good blow could put me down for good or at least set Dak up for a horrible time.... But then again, we're in a rainforest. There's wood and water everywhere. If he can even manage a good light in these conditions, he risks burning everything down. And while he would probably survive it, he places Saffron at risk...

But he must know that. Ergo, his control must be beyond admirable.... I can't underestimate him. I've got to get in close and give it my all; stick and move. If anything, my speed is going to save me....

Al closed his eyes in brief prayer before placing his nose in the wind in an effort to relocate him. Luckily, Pyro had a unique scent about him-- his natural odor heavily potent from his own body heat on top of that unnatural heat itself.

Now with a dead bead, Al got up and continued on. He accepted the feel of the foreign earth to mask his paw's reflexes and stay silent. His belly was low, slithering across the rocks and roots of the floor. He embraced the forest's ambiance, but continued to remain vigilant and keep the sounds he made from interacting with the flora to a complete minimum. The dog reminded himself needed to go for the arm this time to cripple Pyro's use of his techniques.

From where he lay after stopping to survey his positioning, the tenrec was no more than five meters away. It would be possible to pull off his plan, but he always faced the risk of meeting his match....

"Hmm."

Irregardless, he still claimed this as his own prize; his own element. He couldn't be too doubtful when so much was in his favor! The surge he experienced upon entering this territory flooded through his veins again, forcing his teeth to bear themselves. The prey was his, and he finally shot out as brisk as an arrow. All limbs pumping powerfully, he made a beeline towards Pyro.

This was all or nothing. He could either disable the arm or run straight into the fire....

Atop his balcony the Master ground his teeth.

"Must... not... vaporize... stupid.... doggy..." he fumed, hands clenched and arms straight down his sides.
There there, the dragon sympathized, wrapping his tail around the dark one in a comforting hug. We shall be nuking them before lone, ay? Let the mortals have their precious fighting and then we shall destroy them if it is that you so wish it!

The Master sniffed a little, and wiped a tear from his eye.
That's right, let it out. We smite them later, MoD... later.
"M'kay," the hooded one mumbled. "Wanna squish doggy now though..."
LATER.
"Oh, alright."

In the distance, a faint rustling could be make out. Pyro quickly twitched round, scanning the immediate area. The noise was that of crunching leaves being trod on. It could easily have been those of his opponent, but at the same, he could just as easily mistake a small woodland creature for a foe, and thus give away his position. There was no sign on any immediate danger yet. Pyro needed to take a deep breath to calm himself. The insecurity that the jungle was bringing had already made Pyro twitchy, and paranoid of anything that moved of made a sound.

At the moment Pyro seemed to be the one on the defensive, seemling awaiting for the opponent to make the first move, and in fact, he was. It was more than obvious that he was in their territory. Both of his opponents were apparently experienced at this game of the hunter and the hunted. It would be pointless to try to beat them at their own game. Instead, it made more sense to wait for them to make the first move, and thus counter-attack.

Out of nowhere, Pyro's opponent Al, ferociously leapt out of nowhere, claws brimmed. Pyro had little time at all to react, but he had in fact contemplated this situation. Before his opponent had even reached him, Pyro immediately took a quick step back and arose a towering wall of fire. This way, Al would either run head first into it, or stop in time. Either way, Pyro for now could afford to be shooting off potentially hazardous attacks. This way, he already drawn out his opponent without causing harm to himself. Yet anyway.

What is the difference between a duck?

*Just to keep this lively*

"Treetops.. Treetops... MORE DAMN TREETOPS!!"

Slamming his hands down on the railing, Saffron began pacing in circles, rubbing his head in pure frustration. He was impatient, and it worried him that he could barely see ground, let alone any action going on it.

"This isn't just bad for me.. can't be much fun for the fans either.." he spoke to himself not knowing whether or not fans and judges actually had a way of seeing what he couldn't.

He stopped, he knew that stressing himself out before even getting in the fight could prove to be a big.. possibly fatal.. error, he didn't know how long it would be until he would be set under the canopies, and worse yet.. he wouldn't even be able to see it coming. He just had to be ready every moment.. awaiting the teleportation sensation.

A slight breeze caught him in the face, it was cool and helped ease him as it waved through his quills, completely at the bay of the wind. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply to further straighten himself out.

And then he caught a scent in the air that made him immediately open his eyes again. They were met with smoke coming from the arena floor. It was clear now that the fight really was underway and Pyro was making good use of his elemental abilities, maybe too good use. Ember and Brimstone filled the nose as tips of a line of fire could just be seen along with the said black gas.

"Once I saw this arena I knew that your abilities could definately be a game saver for us, being against the top ranked team of the tournament we needed any advantage we could get... But.. this power.. this arena.. could also be the final nail in our coffin. Pyro.. you can handle the heat of this battle, you could burn this whole arena to hell and be fine.. I.. I'm not so fortunate.. shove me in the oven and I am going to come out nicely roasted like a Thanksgiving Turkey. Fire isn't my element.."

He was unsettled, he knew that Pyro really was using his only advantage and doing whatever it took to knock out Al as early as possible..

"But.."

He began to seethe a bit, the more Pyro blasted the harder it would be for him and the knew it..

"DAMN IT PYRO, YOU'RE GUNNA END UP BURNING ME ALIVE!!"

The shout he knew would fall upon deaf ears, he was probably too far away for anyone to hear him, but he had to vent in some way.

He began pacing again, faster now and a little grimmer in expression. The only indication of the fighting locations would probably be spurts of intense heat.. something he hoped wouldn't feed and spread to engulf the whole arena. If it did, he would be in some serious trouble by the time it was his turn to step in.

He stopped for a moment, his back to the fight. Slightly he turned his head and remembered it wasn't just anyone out there, it was someone he had gotten to know well as they fought together through the two previous rounds, overcoming two very difficult teams.. something Saffron knew he couldn't have done alone. He owed a lot to his Red buddy and he knew it. Not that he lost his sense of worry for his own well being, but he gave it a back seat to the safety and success of the active Team GFX fighter.

"Whatever ya do.. just be careful.. (slightly deep breath) and teach that dog how to lie down." he spoke low to himself, a small smile coming at the final half of those words.

As Al landed one bound away from the wall of death Pyro had summoned, his fight-or-flight response kicked into high gear and left him with a split-second decision:

Realizing his legs were bent and completely ripe with energy, his paws were back behind his legs, and his tail remained low, he knew he could either jump ahead or fall from the awkward position. Either option risked severe burning, but the former granted him the advantage of a slipstream powerful enough to partly distinguish the fire.

But this may not have been ordinary fire. Regardless, it was his best bet, so he not only took the leap of faith but remembered the ace up his sleeve: Hidden Ground.

As he left the earth again, his body proceeded to lock itself into a swift and powerful corkscrew prepared to penetrate the fire and literally drill the tenrec through the dirt. Even luckier for Al was the fact that not only was Pyro much closer to him than the fox who had countered this strategy in the last battle...

... but the blaze essentially blinded both competitors.

If his opponent could actually counter the maneuver without being able to see it behind his own attack, he'd stab his good eye out.

Wired to the moon
Pyro quickly spotted the Al burst through the wall of flames. It was really too late to dodge, he had no choice but to stand his own ground. He prepared himself for the attack, but really it was no use. He had already been caught off guard by the determined Al's tenacity.

Stumbling backwards, Pyro began tumbling through the thick bramble wood of the forest, and eventually coming to halt, banging his head against the thick bark of a towering forest tree which an echoing thud. The resulting shudder sent near-by wildlife scrambling, as they attempted to avoid the on-coming fray. He lay there amongst bush's and thick bramble, dazed for a moment, before he eventually attempted to scramble back upwards. Using the tall tree as leverage, Pyro quickly stumbled back onto his feet. Not the result he looking for, to say the least.
"mua, lucky shot!"

Al certainly seemed to have the advantage for raw power here. Still, all was not lost, but Pyro was certainly going to have to be a bit more strategic now, and attempt to be put his opponent on the defensive. As an idea to popped into his head, Pyro turned his back, and began sprinting deeper into the forest. It would now become a game of cat and mouse, rather than a straight fight. The further Pyro got, the more flotsam and jetsam he had to avoid. He was constantly holding his hands up to protect his eyes and swat away any branches or twigs that stood in his path. Stopping, he swiftly hide behind a thick tree. He had yet to check for his opponent to come chasing after him, but no doubt it was only a matter of time.

**Flotsam and jetsam is an old english saying for bits and pieces**
