Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk.

 As he stepped into the elevator shaft the metal over-skin that had been protecting Kassom melted away, re-manifesting itself as a full compliment of throwing knives sheathed in the belts beneath his clothes.

"Sorry to complicate things back there, boss." Kassom's voice was back to 'normal' now, the demon having handed off full control to the furry. He nervously scratched the back of his head for a moment. "I guess I spent too much time out in the field and forgot to report in. But..." His expression grew serious. "There's something big going on, and I don't like the flavor of it. The FURLESS second-in-command has called for a top-priority meeting of all the brass: not just the generals and commanders, but the bigwigs holding the purse-strings too. Word is they're meeting at a remote fortress in the far north-west - probably somewhere in the mountain ranges, but I couldn't get enough info to track down exactly where. What's more, there's rumors that Benon might even attend..."

A barely restrained grin of cleverness blazed across the lynx's face. "Just think... all those tyrants, all in one place. A huge chunk of the enemy's chain of command. This could be an opportunity... and what's more, whatever they're meeting there to discuss HAS to be important."

 Well. This is it. The BIG conference.


Benon straightened his tie. He had to present himself as best he could.

Project Victory was nearly complete. Now all we need to do is find out what to do with it.

He was unknowingly zoning out, and was reminded by the driver. Benon barked some slurs that are too offensive to mention at the driver, and got in.

He told the chaffuer to start drivin'.
