Following on from this thread here, I think now's as good a time as any to get my idea off the ground. I would have gotten this going sooner, but alas, the Epic Lulz V2 got started just as I wanted to play... So then, long story short I've been learning how to use Multimedia Fusion 2 and I think I'm now confident enough to want to finally begin work on this project. Shush you at the back, I'm just about to tell you that. I DO NOT PLAN ON USING SONIC AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER - thus already making my game instant win, but I can do better than that. So this is a true Sonic Blast game, I want permission for four fan characters, maximum, that can be used as playable characters. They MUST have a full sheet - at a bare minimum standing, walking, running, jumping, crouching... you know the drill there. Next, I would like permission from Metallix to use the Sonic Blast logo and any other imagery on the site. As this is a fan game and thus no money will be exchanged for this AT ALL, I would hope this not to be a problem. After that I'll need... A PLOT! And if I can figure out how to have multiple endings and then one grand one - think Sonic Heroes, where you have to complete the game with the four teams before going on to the big boss... then I'll do it. But for now, let's assume that it's a straightforward Sonic hold-right-and-run-for-five-minutes effort. Backgrounds. Music(I plan on raping Newgrounds for tunes, they've got some sweet stuff). Bosses(I already plan on including at least one of the staff - and not Metallix either  ).And whatever else I've forgotten. Let's get this rolling, people. I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment, but if I can be finished by Christmas then I'll be very happy indeed. Oh, and if anyone can offer me advice with MMF2 then it's greatly appreciated if you could share your knowledge here - for example, I hear looping the loop is difficult... I await your thoughts. Well, I'm good at making plots, twists, and story lines and what not. I could help you there. as for a characters, I can't sprite for my life. So if you need story lines or twist or ideas, I'll be here for ya.

Ohh, MMF2 me likey this idea already. I don't have a fancharacter (and never will), but I have this baseball player sprite sheet of me I use in practically all of my games, its supposed to be what I would look like in the VG world. Here, hes a human btw not sure if its acceptable:

I'm not entering any characters (unless you were planning on any cameos) as Gale's sprite sheet simply isn't large enough, but I'll gladly lend you my services as a graphics designer and maybe as a spriter if I like how things are turning out. |

You can use Venom's sprite sheet, it's fully Animatable. <3 The only thing I don't have is the crouch poses hmm..... But if enaugh members get involwed we can actualy do this. Although every project from here failed, so you can see why I am tad skeptic. |

I just curious as to how this is going to be made. I'm guessing MoD has a copy of game maker per chance. Certainly, I look forward to seeing the result, but as I've seen, very fan games get very far, due to immense time they can take up. But anyways, I'll have to sit back and watch. The busiest two years of my life are ahead, and I've got 4 A Levels to complete. |

xD Great idea MoD! I think ye should create wholly original player characters... that way it stays relatively unbiased. I'm good at plots. Extremely good. BUT, I'd be better off if I had all the characters needed so I can use them to the best of there abilities(IE story, attacks, etc) for the story. Also is this like Advanced, Battle, or what? |

Man, I'd love to enter Diamond, but I'm not sure if his sheet is FULLY animatable. I'm sure I could tweak it a little... but I doubt in time... so I'd love to help with the story, I could try drawing the characters for game art, etc. I'd love to do anything. |
