I'm back! Posts: 3,344 Group: =SB= Governors Member #6,063 Joined: February 19, 2008 Gender: Male Favorite System: Genesis/Mega Drive Favorite Sonic Game: Sonic CD Current Mood: I HATE MY JOB	Following on from this thread here, I think now's as good a time as any to get my idea off the ground. I would have gotten this going sooner, but alas, the Epic Lulz V2 got started just as I wanted to play... So then, long story short I've been learning how to use Multimedia Fusion 2 and I think I'm now confident enough to want to finally begin work on this project. Shush you at the back, I'm just about to tell you that. I DO NOT PLAN ON USING SONIC AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER - thus already making my game instant win, but I can do better than that. So this is a true Sonic Blast game, I want permission for four fan characters, maximum, that can be used as playable characters. They MUST have a full sheet - at a bare minimum standing, walking, running, jumping, crouching... you know the drill there. Next, I would like permission from Metallix to use the Sonic Blast logo and any other imagery on the site. As this is a fan game and thus no money will be exchanged for this AT ALL, I would hope this not to be a problem. After that I'll need... A PLOT! And if I can figure out how to have multiple endings and then one grand one - think Sonic Heroes, where you have to complete the game with the four teams before going on to the big boss... then I'll do it. But for now, let's assume that it's a straightforward Sonic hold-right-and-run-for-five-minutes effort. Backgrounds. Music(I plan on raping Newgrounds for tunes, they've got some sweet stuff). Bosses(I already plan on including at least one of the staff - and not Metallix either ). And whatever else I've forgotten. Let's get this rolling, people. I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment, but if I can be finished by Christmas then I'll be very happy indeed. Oh, and if anyone can offer me advice with MMF2 then it's greatly appreciated if you could share your knowledge here - for example, I hear looping the loop is difficult... I await your thoughts. This refers to major ones like hedgehogs and echidnas, and even not so popular species like bees. 2. NO CHAOS EMERALDS It gets really boring when all you have to do to activate a power is to yell "CHAOS [Insert name]" and blow them away. I'm removing Emeralds entirely, that means not just powers but storyline as well. 3. NO CANON SONIC CHARACTERS This has been a rule of mine since I started, but I'm expanding it. Instead of my characters having no interaction with canon characters, they will not even understand that they exist at all. 4. NO CANON SONIC SETTINGS Continuing with the trend, my characters will not participate in specific canon locations. They may participate in an RP that is simply "Mobius" but will not abide by any canon details. 5. NO UNNECESSARY POWERS In past characters I have often given them something extremely useful or powerful. I am removing that from my new sets. The only powers available will be reasonable magic and physical limitations within the bounds of the character.
