Just as they had to build up hype for Command & Conquer 3 with the release of the first Command & Conquer (Tiberian Dawn), Electronic Arts has released the very first game in the Command & Conquer: Red Alert series as freeware on August 31st. It's basically an ISO set of the Allied and Soviet discs with some RA3 extras including the hi-definition trailer

There's still a multiplayer following of both C&C RA and C&C1, so if you apply the right patches, you can still battle online.

Enjoy

I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles.

I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P

So, let's see if you can outdo "The Jet Gamer"

:D A fellow strategist among us. And yeah, I'll agree about the first one being hard. Super hard. It was hard as Hell to get through Allied Mission 5 with only a Spy. Ugh, wow.

I'm not even sure if I made it that far. I'm not sure what I played and what since it has been a long time since I have played things like them, I just know they are mega hard, since the AI is alot less forgiving in these older games. Usually you get less instruction as well.
