That's what happens when you build a city in a literal swamp. Let's hope the levees hold and Homeland Security doesn't have their thumbs up their rears for once. (Okay, maybe #2 is wishful thinking..)

<_< This isn't a "lol" matter.

Considering what happened with Katrina three years ago, I think people are wiser with preparations this time around. Whether that's the case, however, I guess we'll find out. It's unfortunate that this region's likely gonna get slammed again. Here's hoping the situation won't be nearly as bad as three years ago. They're not even fully recovered from that yet...

Dang it. I'm just close enough for that thing to hurl a whole bunch of rain clouds and storms at us like Katrina and Ivan namely did. *Remembers horribly heavy winds and all the tree limbs in the yard afterwards.* *Wishes hurricanes weren't so big.* *Picks up umbrella and puts on raincoat* Does this mean standing out in the rain to wait for the school bus every morning? Gah.

Anyway, at least I won't get the bulk of the storm. That thing does look pretty bad, and yeah, I sure hope New Orleans is better prepared this time around. That city has quite a horrible location, if you ask me.

Luckily I live in Italy, so the only way I know this hurricane is Sky News 24.

But yeah, experience gained should do the job.

Lucky that I live in an area where it's physically impossible for there to be hurricanes.

TIME TO REALLY EXPLODE!
Lucky for New Orleans, Gustav is nowhere near as strong as Katrina; it's now reduced to a Category 1. Thankfully, there looks to be no catastrophic flooding.

More storms are forming as well, Hanna was noticed on Monday and Ike was noticed a few hours later.

You know, it's kind of sad how some people were like "There's a Hurricane." "Lol I don't live by it so whatever."

Not cool people. At all...

Anyways, I wish the best of luck to New Orleans with the hurricane and any other bad weather on earth.

Also, I'm happy that Gustav is at 1. I thought it was going to be worse than Katerina according to the news I watched...was categorized as 4-5...

Herein lies the problem with building a city geographically below sea level....

As for those who say "Lol I'm no where near it," Considering some scientists are blaming climate change on the apparent surge in hurricanes, you could very well be near 'it' in the near future xD.

Plus, when the meteor hits or that island finally falls into the ocean or the ice caps finish melting or Yellowstone finally erupts, most of us on here are going to be screwed, anyway <3.

Really glad we don't have another Katrina on our hands, though.

Christmas is back again

Okay here is the deal. I am not really affected by these storms that occurs from time in USA or anywhere around the world.

Yet i feel for those who looses their homes from flood waves, destructing earthquakes, tornadoes ripping everything from the ground. It's just ain't cool. Now for the case building close to water is a matter of fact risky.

Anyway i wish for those who live in New Orleans the best of luck.
