Christmas is back again Posts: 17,411 Group: Former Monarchs Member #348 Joined: December 9, 2006 Gender: Male Steam ID: Warzak85DF	RP Training This is were new challengers arise from newbies into true veterans in role playing. Those who throw them self around here shall be challenged in different of lessons. As easy like having a slight conversation with a member's character into a more difficult attending to several character at once. Learning to focus more on environment, describing character moves in different ways, learn to read other posts so you may respond in a highly and respectful way from your opposer. That is, if your going in battle. You will also receive badges for completing lessons. NOTE: all rules, lessons, etc are contained in spoilers for ease of scrolling. Click on one of the sections to view the hidden information. Rules: 1. Before starting a lesson, you must put your character's bio. 2. Once you use a character, you must keep that character throughout each lesson. 3. You may not start lesson one with another character until you have passed all six lessons. Once you have done that, you can start lesson one with a new character. 4. Once two or more of your characters have passed all six lessons, you can move on to group lessons. In these lessons, you control more then one of your characters. Note: Just because you passed all six lessons with one character, does not mean that character is done. Said character will go on to more advanced lessons, boss fights, and such. Scoring System : Grammar: Correct spelling, proper use of commas and capitalization. Background Description: How well you describe things-characters, items, scenery. Enviromental Use: How well you take advantage of the environment, and the way you react to it. For instance, kicking up beach sand in someone's face. Adaption to Lesson: How well you followed the lesson and adapted to it. Entertaiment: How much we enjoyed your potrayal of the lesson. Overall Achievement: The average of the points you recieved from the other fields. It is this field that determines whether you pass or fail. If you get a fifty or above, you pass. Any lower, and you must redo that lesson. Bio Sheet: Name: ~This should be self-explanatory Gender: ~self-explanatory Apparent Age: ~How old you look Actual Age: ~how old your character actual is Species: ~self-explanatory Appearance: ~What sort of clothing is your character wearing? What colour fur do they have? Wherabouts does their weaponry sit on their person? (A good picture can also suffice.) Personality: ~Are they easily wound up? Do they keep calm under pressure? What makes 'em happy? World�s your oyster here. Skills/Powers: ~You may have up to four skills, powers, and/or moves. To clarify; whereas skills are passive enhancements and� well� skills, moves are active actions/attacks that are pre-set, that once executed take off that little bit more damage (or perhaps have other effects that aren�t damage-dealing�). Example, you could be a great swordsman, and then create three awesome moves. Equipment: ~Up to three items may be carried. This includes weaponry. As far as guns go, no big death rays, BFGs or stuff like that. Most other toys are cool, but be warned, no infinite ammunition. Strengths: ~What is your character good at? List three plus points to your character - for example, they can read the situation in battle easily due to the vast amount of experience they have, or that they're really paranoid and as such are always on their toes watching out for trouble? Weaknesses: ~Exactly the opposite. List three minus points that can make your character a little flawed, example a fear of spiders, is unable to use anything other than a sword, can't fist-fight for crap, gets too pumped of adrenaline to focus on the trap his opponent's set... lots to choose from. And YES you have to take three or you won't be accepted. Also, make them combat-related. 1st lesson. You are set upon an island. Someone oppose you with a momentary threat. "Leave this island at once. Or you will fall like those who didn't follow our advice." So what is your response on this. Try and add a good enough comment that will leave success. Goal = Describe your surroundings as best you can 2nd Lesson. Your being chased through a tropical forest by wild and beastly creatures. Your doing good so far, however, a large rushing river is now in your way. There are some stepping stones that lead to the other side, but the rushing water covers some of them. Whats worse, is that this river leads into a waterfall that drops you 20 feet down into a fairly large lake. Goal = Describe how you will get across to the other safely. Don't forget to describe your environment, doing so may help you get across. 3rd Lesson A friend of yours dying by your arms. What are you suppose to do. Act with emotion and use whatever cunning of desire you wish for. Also this is a double sided post. You need to act with two different characters at once. One would be your main character, the second is your friend/npc. Goal = You ain't required to get me wet in my eyes. But I wish to see some good usage of roleplaying in this kind of situation.(you don't have to kill off said second character) Lesson 4 You manage to meet up with your number one enemy or rival. You've been tracking him/her down her a long while and now you have them. Work up a situation where you fight and deal with your rival or enemy. You can talk them down and try and convince them to give up, or simply fight them til death or until they had enough. Goal = Describe your surroundings, where you, what season you're in, and how you managed to find your foe. Main goal is the fight or the talk down. Lesson 5. You somehow find yourself trapped inside a building-a burning building at that. You try and escape through the door. However, said door is either; locked, or blocked by something on fire, be it a wooden beam, a desk, a potted plant, or something of your choice. (well, something that could be found in what ever building your character is in. After all, you wouldn't find a filing cabniet in a shack. ) Anyway, since you can't get out through the door, you have to find another way to get out of the building. Goal = Be sure to use good description to help set the mood. Main goal is to escape. Lesson 6. You're captured by an unknown foe. You wake up in a cell unbound with three guards waiting for you. Two stand outside the room while one patrols the inside of this cell room. There are other cells, which may or may not have other people in it(thats up to you to decide.) This cell room is just a small room on board a flying large ship. Figure out a way to escape and get off this ship. Goal = Describe your surroundings as those who may have been captured. Your main goal is to describe the unknown foe who has captured you, the ship itself, and so on. Basically everything you've learned so far will and should be used in here. Advanced Trial 1 (Made by Timothy Ulysses Crusader) It's 7:30 at night; your character is all alone in their house/apartment/etc for one reason or another, and they're starting to get hungry. Figuring it's just about time for dinner anyway, they decide to get into the kitchen and cook themselves something to eat. Goal = What do they make? How do they make it? Does it end up in disaster? And, more to the point, does it taste any good? I'll join with my new character I made. his name is Tex. and here he is with out armor Tex normal) A hovercraft floats by the shore of the island to soon have its side door open and Tex leaping out of it. causing a small sand storm from hits powerful engine Tex covers his face as he descends towards the beach below and once he lands he gives a thumbs up to signal the pilot to leave while still covering his face with his arm. The small ship leaves as a man approaches Tex, warning him of some possible danger. Tex simply nods his head and listens in to what he had to say. "Sir, that is why I'm here." the feline simply stated as his brushes some sand off his cloths. He then slips on his spirit glove and holsters his sword to his waste. not having his armor on should give him more advantage when moving in this jungle like island. "Anything else I should be concern about?" The cat asked while looking towards the jungle. (okay, so I like rping and this can go somewhere if people just try. if not, then shoot me then. )

You can gain up to three points. Yet this was an easy cakewalk. Prepare for more lessons as you progress.) Experience Statistics lilsonic = 1 (This is for one post in your education. And also towards the ranking in total.) ------------------------------------------------------------------- This ain't a roleplay that follows the storyline. Instead you will be challenged with different of sidequests that you should try and complete at best possible way to get approved by each judge or leader. And also everyone should start from page 1. Take first act by doing your own fashionable approach to this island. Next lesson shall be taken beneath next line. And also lilsonic. This is still the beginner level. Let's see how well fair you make the second challenge. So 1 experience shall be added to your cause TUC. I need a request from aether one of the leaders. I also wish to test out my roleplaying skills since there is still much to learn. Heh! I can't approve my self now can i. That would be silly and to easy. My character will be Shanui for these studies. ------------------------------------------------- A warrior had been washed onto the shores of this island with no particular occupation. Bearable alive were he lies with water sent towards his back. Above the warm light would blind his eyes into open and catch glimpse of his surroundings. Taking careful motion by using his knees while holding with his hands leaving him stand on four legs. Looking around for any other leftovers from his crew. None would be seen, before a man approaches with a clear message that could easily become a threat. Quote: "Leave this island at once. Or you will fall like those who didn't follow our advice." Wasn't sure how to react since he had just lost his men, and now washed upon randomly selected island who's presence would be nearby. "What others. And as you may see. There ain't many options to leave aether." With that, he finally pulled him self onto his feet. With one final glance towards this inhabitant before heading into the waste jungle as food would be an ideal situation for now. --------------------------------------------------------- I won't gain any experience until one approves this post. Leaders that is, since we are teachers of this school. Heh! I shall probably add the third lesson next time. But for now, i just want my final score.

Yet someone had informed to police about it's inventory. Actually the one who called would be your friend. Cops arrived and would of course arrest you. How are you suppose to get out from such a tricky situation. Tex sits with his arms crossed and eyes closed. as the guard spoke Tex could only sigh in annoyance. "Since you offered to hear me out, which probably doesn't matter what I say since you think I'll just be telling a lie, I'll tell you what happen anyways. not like I have anything better to, and at least I can figure it out as I talk you and make sense of the whole thing myself. Because I'm sure you know how it feels to be randomly arrested for trying to deliver something for a friend. Do you know how many times I was told not to look into a package, or told not to open an letter, or that the flies I am would deliver would be classified and I can't read it. I like what I do, as part of the Spirit Squad we monitor any strange activities that involved spirits, ghost, criminals known to the agency I work for, and many other issues we may have to risk our lives for. This agency deals with a lot of items that hold secrets and powers beyond compare. So when I'm told to deliver something from my agency, and even if it so happen to be a friend, I do it with out any questions. Also I keep my word of not looking at what ever it is they don't want me to look at. I don't know what might happen if I did. In fact, a great many of things could happen if I did and it was something that can invade ones mind by simply staring at it. That has happen before by the way, though not to me, I'm not stupid. Anyways, founding out it was something as stupid as delivering drugs ticks me off and makes me very angry that someone would use me as something so low as trafficking drugs. If I would to be released right now I'll bring you the one who told me to deliver the drugs and the person who it was going to go to. What I really do not understand is why would you arrest me before I got to the one I was suppose to deliver it to. Thats not very bright on your part. The person who was suppose to obtain those drugs is going to figure out that something must of happen to the one bringing it to him. That can lead to many problems for you. Say if I really was in on it, and I'm not so get that out your head, but say I was. I would either not tell you a darn thing leaving your case cold and dry and only putting me in jail for possession, mean while the dealer could of used me as bait for you to take and really be smuggling a larger amount then what you found. At any rate, I'm not part of this operation of smuggling drugs and if you let me go, I'll get you the real crooks behind this. If you still don't trust me, you can even put a tracer on me if you want. So, what will it be." Tex tells him then opens his eyes and stares into the guards eyes with truth, vengeance, and determination. (I viewed DF post on the island bit and of course its epic win. . After an hour of flying in a big circle, a helocopter's passenger got impatient and jumped out of the helocopter, changed into a seagull, and landed on the shore.A man asked him his name and warned him of great dangers on the island.The boy introduced himself as Colby and mearly stared him in the eyes and said"Your not scarin' me away!I don't care what you say, someone told what I was looking for was here,and I'll take any lead I can get!", jumped ontop of a nearby tree,and continued deeper into the forest, hopping from branch to branch.As he progressed he thought "This mission is too important to let the words of strangers get the best of me!". Was it actually the best to act in such a time. I found it pretty good and you have been found gaining 2 new experience points to your total. Good work Mr. Taken the post as advanced in fact sine it's long and well written. --------------------------------------------- 1st lesson mithosthehedgehog Positive + Hmm, i am not sure why you added anything about your father missing. But it went pretty aright. - Quote: (Example 1) Enjoying his vacation,Colby is informed by (Example 2) south of the towns docks.Excited,Colby Separate these so they won't get ignore by the reader beneath. Like. Quote: Enjoying his vacation, Colby is informed by south of the towns docks. Excited,Colby That is leave space between each sentence and each comma. That will make it so much more fluid. - By using enter between a characters speech, and using space between another characters actions you will add the small adjustment into a more desirable read. Example below. I suggest checking this place out when it's a word you can't write properly. Dictonary Or install Firefox 3, add some dictionary even if they are useless in my opinion. Just use the url for future use by improving grammar. I found it useful from time to time. So i can't give you my approval from that post. I wait to see if anyone else feels any difference about this. And remember i am here to guide you, not being a critical leader. Just try one more time. You don't need to write expendable paragraphs until you proven you can the basics of roleplaying. Give it another try I'd say. Though this part of the city would be filled with office buildings, as they are skyscrapers. Some buildings are on fire only at the base, some have fire blaring out their windows, which would cause a massive amount of smoke to rise into the air where all can see that danger would be down that way. a smaller building looks to have been attacked by something powerful, as it is not standing but in ruble. Tex, which can be seen moving among the destroyed building remains, searches and begins to move big pieces to find something, or someone it would. As his face is one of anger if you could see pass the smudge from the fires heat and smoke. He finally moves a large piece and soon sees a purple haired male that could be identified as human. Moving the piece aside he can only look upon this lifeless male, thinking he was dead. Then, to his surprise Cable begins to try and move a big piece of the building laying on his torso. "Hey, stop staring at me like that. your creeping me out." Cable tells Tex weakly as Tex quickly helps him move the big piece off of him. The feline then helps this human like purple haired male into a sitting. Cable was clearly not in the greatest conditions. His face was bloody, his shirt was darker from all the blood as well was tore up. In fact half of his shirt was gone, which lets Tex see how much of a human Cable is really not. Seeing the scares and the stitches, the sewed up parts and staples that were once their. He was an experiment after all. "What are you still doing here? Hes still out there." Cable tells Tex as Tex just looks upon and shakes his head. "I couldn't let you die here. You and me both know that. We stand as a team and we are going to stay as a team. Never leave a fallen comrade." Tex replies keeping his stern look and remembering his training. "heh, I'm no fallen. If I was fallen I could of picked my self up. But I dead man, and theres no getting around it. your wasting your time coming back for me. and I don't like the fact that he is still out there, dealing with the rest of our team." Cable tells him as he takes out a cigar and weakly searches for his lighter. "They can handle him. To be honest they forced me to come back." Tex tells him as Cable continues to search for a lighter. "Yeah, I know. their a pain in my a$$. Besides, its not like I can't be remade. though the next one wont be as charming as me. So, what the hell are you still doing here? go on, I'm dead." Cable tells him then sighs as he couldn't find his lighter. "You got a light?" Cable soon asked now looking into Tex's eyes. Tex didn't know what to think. here he was, thinking Cable was dead and wanted to seek revenge instead of coming back for him. Maybe if he had turned back a while ago he would have gotten to Cable on time. "Since when do I ever carry a lighter." Tex stated ignoring the fact that Cable declared himself dead. "Yeah. It doesn't hurt to ask though." Cable tells him resting his head on the piece of the building behind him as he closed his eye. "And it doesn't hurt to turn back for a fallen comrade." Tex tells him then standsto his feet and looks upon Cable. Cable's eye opened upon hearing Tex's words. He just smirked and took the unlit cigar out of his mouth. "What ever. just hurry up and take the chip out of my head. if it hurts, I'll just pound your face in." Cable tells him with a joking like smile which made Tex slightly smirk, but knew to remain serious. "No. Your dead, so you should remain that way. I'm not going to go digging through your head for some chip that will bring back a different experiment. Then I'd have to deal with someone that isn't you. Could you honestly see me retraining a different version of your self?" Tex tells him as he tries to keep a straight face. Cable smiles at this comment. "No, I really can't." Cable tells him. but suddenly his fist becomes covered with spirit energy. but it fades in and out, as if hes gathering the remaining energy he has left. "Cable... what are--" Tex beings to asked wide eyed but Cable cut him off. "Just shut up for a second and let me concentrate. like you said, you can't leave a fallen comrade behind. and I'm sure the rest of the team would give you hell if you didn't at least return my chip." Cable tells him grinning as he slowly and weakly raises his spirit energy covered fist to his head. "Cable, put your fist down. now!" Tex orders as Cable just keeps grinning. "Wha...what... your gonna ma... make me." Cable replies, as his fist begins to shake weakly. Tex tighten his fist as Cable just grins back. waiting for his hand to stop shaking. "Well, any last words?" Cable asked as his fist continues shaking. Tex couldn't find words to stay. he could only remain serious as to hold back his tears and instead replaced such emotions with anger. "too late." Cable suddenly says which made Tex wide eyed as he looked and saw Cable's hand was still and steady. in a flash, a crushing sound rung out into Tex's ears as he watched blood fly across his face. everything seemed to stop for a split second. Blood remained still in the air, pieces of purple hair floated, pale skin twirled about as if dancing, white sand sparkled like stars in the night sky, and Cable's eye patch flapped like a flag in high winds. Cables crushed and broken head slams upon the ground along with pieces of his hair and his eye patch. Blood and white sand mixed together near his head and only his spirit eye could be seen from his battered face. a few inches from his spirit eye was the chip that was in his head. It was as if Cable was looking at the chip with his dead spirit eye, telling Tex that took take it and go. But Tex just stood their, lowering his head as a tear rolled down his check. he falls to his knees with his fist tighten and filled with anger. "Good bye... Cable..." Tex whispers as he looked upon the chip, which he would soon pick up and dash off towards his other team mates, filled with hate, anger, and vengeance. (might have misspelled words. sorry its long.) Flashback: You were asked by a friend to deliver a bag with cocaine. Yet you wouldn't know, since as long you made this work, you would be a good friend helping a friend who seemingly acted to be sick and unable to transport such vital stuff by him self. Yet he only asked you. "Don't look into the bag. It's private." Couldn't that have made you suspicious enough. Anyway you carry on without looking into the bag. Yet someone had informed to police about it's inventory. Actually the one who called would be your friend. Cops arrived and would of course arrest you. How are you suppose to get out from such a tricky situation. If I'm right, I believe this is the second lesson thing. well, thats what was given to me and and everyone seemed to have the same first lesson sooo, yea! this would be the second lesson.

But i have to say, laughed more then feeling sorry for him, except to the end. You were doing just great. We would need to find shelter or at least a place to stay until the storm dwindles. You carry on towards a house were it says "room for rent". Yet with a surprised look you find a old shabby lady. And she didn't even enjoy the sight of you. Thunder occurred nearby and no other place nearby left you taking out the persuasion techniques. Make sure she will let you inside without ending getting the door slammed into your face. I am giving you 5 different choices on what can succeed or failure. But it's your option to find witch one that will prevail into your success. A = Actually give her some positive feedback onto her outfit and look, even if it's the worst clothes you ever seen. And that smell could have been compared with your trashcan. B = Give her a few coins, tell her to move aside since it clearly stands. Room for rent on that sign, and why would she leave such post available if she ain't following it's own rules. C = Leave the house. There is better living outside then stay one night along with that woman. Jeez you wish that you'd never seen such a sight. Almost throwing up on your way out. D = You find her with such an awful taste that you even found it amusing. Why not just use my sword taking away her misery. And i will get a room as long i wish. Yet the smell inside could probably make it worse to live with. E = Just make an ordinary approach like any travellers seeking for shelter from the upcoming storm. Even if the worse place you could have found, it's better then getting all soaked and found your self with a cold the very next morning. Of course you need to use your own desirable approach. Yet this test won't finish until the second post. So you will need to wait for my or any other leaders answer before you can determine your self as winner of 4 new experience points. A small advice though, follow the few examples given, just with your own words. Good luck, this is the second final stage before you will gain Veteran Roleplayer stats.
