Have you guys ever been ripped off when buying something?!  because i've been like once i was buying Armored core 3 from a video gaming store near where i live and when i got home and opened the box so i can play it instead of me play AC3 i get the AC2 Disk? I'm like "WTF!i already have this game!" So i was kinda pissed off that i got ripped off by getting a game that i already have! When my old computer I had for nearly 8 years finally kicked the bucket, we out hunting for a new one. We were originally going to go to Best Buy (which is where I wanted to get the new one), but because it was so busy that day, my father ended up getting aggrivated and left to the Circuit City down the street. The computer salesman told us the computer [which I'm using  ] was really great, and it had some sticker on it saying it was epic. And then when we got it, soon all the additional things were added. (Anti-virus, the works)Long story short, after paying quite a high amount for it and getting it home, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. It is a shitty computer. My computer was hit with a very bad spyware thing. I ended up calling to various places that might be able to fix it. The ideal place (the cheapest) told us "95$, and we'll do a full clean." So, I took the PC tower, and we headed over. Upon getting there they told us the estimated time, and all the things they do. When my mom was ready to pay for it, the guy replies "125$ plus tax." I looked over at my mom with a frown, but she ended up saying no objection and paid for it anyways.  Shadow the Hedgehog game, reserving a copy on the day it came out. Worst. Game. EVER. (waste of money) |

Buying an Xbox 360, that was a rip off. Firstly, later that week I found one cheaper. Alot cheaper, and then I find out I have to pay for more and more crap like hard drives, and it becomes clear, that the PS3 was in fact, cheaper overall. Kinda disappointing, but whatever. Next generation its back to sony, and away from Microsoft. |

My Grandma decided to get me a PS2, although refurbished (and stuff), it was an upgrade from my old PS1. I was so happy on Xmas day to open it and quickly went to set it up. She had gotten it from the new Gamestop that opened up in the mall a few months back. I tried to play, nothing, the next time I was down there, I continued trying. We returned the PS2, only to find they were out of stock at that Gamestop, luckily, there were a couple in stock at the other Gamestops in town. Upon arriving there, the people there told us the new one was nutorious for selling broken and ill-repaired games, they replaced the piece of junk we were given and compensated us with what sounded like a pretty new PS2. |

This isn’t a shop per se, but it’s kind of the same thing. I like to eat at Popeye’s on my lunch break. I’ve gone there several times and all. But one day, I ordered some spicy strips with fries. The guy behind the counter said they were out of spicy strips, so I would have to wait for them to cook a new batch. Fifteen minutes later, they’re done. But right when they’re done, he goes “Sorry, but we’re out of fries. Can you wait a little longer?” Fifteen MORE minutes later, I finally have my food. For a fast food joint, 30 minutes to get my food is totally unacceptable. They could have at least given me some gift certificates or coupons for the inconvenience, but they didn’t even do that. All I got was a quick “sorry” and I was late getting back to work. I will never eat at that particular Popeye’s again. |

I've never gotten ripped off by a shop, but when i was a lil kid i got ripped off by a Carny xD HE said that if you won once you'd get the giant eagle. I won four times. I got a baby eagle. It makes me laugh thinking about it xD But no i've never been ripped off in an actual shop. |

I have been. TWICE. One time I was getting Army Men World War, the first game, and I instead got Army Men World War Final Front. The second time, I wanted Samurai Warriors 2 Empires and I instead got Samurai Warriors 2. Either there was a mistake in reading or something

Once I got at gamestop Jak 3 and it froze in short intervals, and once I got KH1 and I had to buy another copy because the cutscenes at Destiny Islands froze.

Geez have you guys ever heard of refund ? As long as you have the original receipt you can exchange it for all your liking. It's broken or not they have to refund you. Sides always open up the game you just bought. I bought used copy of Budokai 3 and I got Budokai 2. Luckly I opened up the box turned around and they apoligized and chanched the DVD. |

I've never been ripped off, a shop keeper once tried to rip me of by not giving me correct change but i demanded correct change and threatened to call the police, a game shop once sold me an empty case, i checked it before even leaving the shop and demanded the disc, i checked that, it was cracked, i demanded it changed, i got the disc in perfect condition. I don't know if it counts as being ripped off but every time i send my xbox 360 launch edition back to microsoft for repairs it breaks again 3 months later, but it doesn't matter cause they renew my guarantee... |

This isn't a ripoff either, really...but I would like to talk about it. I've been looking for a new car recently, and I stopped by a Saturn dealer to check out Astras. My saleswoman wasn't a very good one. She didn't react well to criticism of her product. It didn't take long for me to decide I wanted a Volkswagen Rabbit more, and I mentioned this to her. Regardless, she kept babbling on and on about the fuel economy and such, even though my mind was made up. I had to insist rather strongly that I didn't want an Astra, in order to get her to listen. She got all defensive and went "Well...fine..." and then she crossed her arms like a pouty kid. I don't think the immaturity of a little child is what you want to project when you're trying to sell something expensive like a car. True, my mind is already made up, but you're only making things worse for yourself and the dealer by acting like that. Because now I'm going to tell everyone I know about my experience with you (like right now), and you may have just lost several potential future customers.
