WHEW. I've spent lots of work on this so far, and I think it's pretty cool so far!! If you notice anything I've left off, please notify me, and please leave comments on my work. ;D Yes, I typed the history with amazing speed, so don't worry about typos, I'll go back and fix any later. I also realize that all relations with other characters of mine and yours were left out. I will complete that at a later time. But for now, enjoy!! *Small Notice: Somewhere, I made a very noticable error that cut out a word or two. Image B:  (Hand-drawn by Maelic the Hedgehog. Colored with GIMP.) Physical: Maelic bears an appearance that a hedgehog would be expected to have. His body is, excluding the muzzle, stomach, ear insides, and arms, is covered in grey fur. The muzzle, stomach, ear insides, and arms bear a tan skin color. Maelic's eyes have a narrowed look to them with an orange outline at each highest point. His eye color is a brilliant orange - Exactly the same color as the outline. On Maelic's forehead, he bears a calick with four spikes to it, similar to a spine. On the back of Maelic's head, his spines are arranged in a unique way. Firstly, on each lower side, he has a very large spike that bends downward a bit, but pushes back up a little about halfway through. Above those two, just in the center, there is a smaller spine with another one above it. Maelic has two small spines on his back and a basic small tail. Attire: Maelic's clothing consists of four parts: Maelic wears some very basic denim shorts, with four small pouch-like pockets, two on each side, with clasable flaps and buttons as blue as the denim itself. The jeans only reach to about, or just above, his knees. They are pulled up to the point of where they reach just the very end of his furless stomach area. As well, he wears a brown leather strap around his body in diagonal direction, the highest point being on his left shoulder and the lowest point on his right hip just over the edge of his shorts, right above the pocket. This strap is lined with three pouches of the same color - Each only a few inches wide and as long as the strap. All three are located on the front area of the strap and of Maelic's body. Each pouch is held closed by a small yellow button, and may be opened at any time. Attached to this strap is a backpack - Located on the back, of course - of the same color as the strap. The backpack consists of only one large compartment, and uses a small yellow button to be opened, exactly the same as with the front pouches, but on a larger scale. This backpack manages to cover the majority of Maelic's back and provide him with a place to store his weapons, gear, and supplies. Maelic also wears basic leather orange gloves. At the wrist, the gloves end where the gloves' cuffs begin. All in all, the gloves reach from the tip of his fingers to about halfway up his forearm. Maelic also wears a pair of boots to match these gloves. The boots are the exact same orange, with equally distant cuffs. Just below the cuffs, though, a white ring makes it's way around the shoe. Branching off of that ring in the front, a large white area covers much of the front of the shoes. As well as such clothes, Maelic's armor bears part of what would be considered appearance. As for his Electro Gloves, they are simple metal boxes, about the size of his palm, that sit upon the back of his hand, and a metal strap ties it to his hand they crosses the palm. On that strap, four buttons exist, and if pressed hard enough by his fingers through a closed fist, he can activate the Electro Gloves. The Electro Gloves have two circular holes and a larger rectangular hole on the box part, where the electricity flows out to create attacks. The Shock Boots are similar, except the box part (With similar, but larger, holes) is located on the bottom of the shoe and fits around the entire bottom. Also, the strap that goes over the shoe lacks any buttons. The buttons are actually located on an elevation on the top side of the box - The side that is hiddens a rectangular hole in the bottom of Maelic's shoes that allows this elevation to rise to his toes. If Maelic presses his toes down, he can activate the Shock Boots. Also, both the Electro Gloves and Shock have a switch on the side of their "box" parts that turns the devices on or off. The Shock Boots alone have an extra option on them that enable the Lightning Launch instead of the regular electric-charged kicks and attacks. Personality Personailty: With a friendly heart towards other people, Maelic can still bear great anger against those who oppose him. From this, and simply his nature, Maelic gains a darker attitude and mood about him. As he is shy, Maelic doesn't usually open up to anyone other than his closest friends. Maelic is scared of little, and usually will take on any task that comes his way. Rarely but possible, thoughts of failure and giving up can haunt Maelic. While he still presses forward, it is at these points he relies on his friends to help him through. Although this is true in many situations, when it comes to protecting Alina and Soar, nothing will even begin to slow him down - "I'd rather die than see my friends suffer." Maelic also bears flaws, as anyone would - He loves food, can be easily irritated, and isn't a very social person. Yet, on the plus side, Maelic is a loyal friend, is very trustworthy, will do almost anything to keep a promise, and has a strong sense of right and wrong. General Likes: Good, Light, Friends, Family, Technology, Art, Music, Consideracy, Kindness, Cleanliness General Dislikes: Evil, Shadow, Enemies, Inconsideracy, Anger, Bugs, Filthiness. Hobbies: Mechanical Engineering (Weapons & Armor, Namely), Computers, Drawing, Writing, Video Games, Playing Guitar, Playing Drums. Interests: Technology, Mechanics, Computers, Art, Books, Video Games, Rock Music, Instruments (Guitar, Drums). Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Sport: Football Favorite Food: Shrimp Musical Taste: Modern Rock, Alternative Rock, Progressive Rock, Hard Rock, Metal Battle Style: Fighting Gear: V1.0 Maelic Battle Armor - Trading what little speed and aglity he has for almost pure strength, defense, and endurance, this armor also maximizes the power of Maelic's Electro Gloves and Shock Boots. The armor can take a few seconds to equip, and depending on how much energy was used in the last equip of the armor, it must cool down after its use. The armor, if all power is used, can take anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes to charge, and can only be in use for around thirty minutes. Electro Gloves - Devices Maelic created for both his hands, if he makes a fist, he presses the buttons on the devices' straps, causing the Electro Gloves to charge his punches with electricity. There is also a switch to disable the gloves completely, but he would usually rather take them off than turn them off. Shock Boots - Much like the Electro Gloves, these devices charge his kicks with electricity. Pushing his toes down will cause the boots to activate, charging his feet with electricity. If Maelic turns on a switch on the side of his Shock Boots, they switch into launch mode, allowing him to use the Lightning Launch technique by pressing his toes down. There is also a switch to disable to boots completely, but he would usually rather take them off than turn them off. *All equipment is carried in the backpack on his back, so may take time to equip.* Fighting Style: During combat, Maelic relies on his intelligence, endurance, and strength. Although lacking speed, he has an unbelievably efficient way of making up for it with his intelligent strategies of battle. Maelic has an amazingly good head on his shoulders, but sometimes a large tempur can effect his strategical style in bad ways. Maelic has geared himself with three "Combat Modes": Firstly, Maelic can fight without the help of his weapons and armor to aid him. Maelic is excellent at melee, so he has no fear of fighting this way. He can also equip his Electric Gloves and Shock Boots alone to aid him in battle. This adds a considerable amount of pain and damage while fighting, and enables many of his special techniques that require these devices. As well, Maelic will equip his Battle Armor, Electro Gloves, and Shock Boots all at the same time. At this point he has traded almost all his speed for endurance and power. Maelic tends to use this "mode" when another strategy is getting old or isn't working during battle to see how well he stands against the opponent of the battle. Special Advantages/Abilities: Light-Enraged Form - This form usually occurs when Maelic is close to death. Maelic gains Light Energy powers that are tough to control. Maelic's memory is weak in this form, and his Light Energy usually acts on its own to protect him instead of him commanding it, but his power increases greatly in this form. Maelic later, with the teachings of Sharru, manages to obtain a constant version of this form. A rather draining ability overall, Maelic is usually tiured after activation of it. This form gives Maelic a very signifigant power boost, but is only a small fraction of what the Light Form is capable of. It bears no physical appearance changes, excepy excess Light Energy will sometimes appear around Maelic's feet on the ground. Light Form - Maelic is engulfed by the power of the the Light, and he enters a Light Form. All his fur becomes white, and his skins glows and its color fades to white. His eyes become white, as well, but the pupil and amounts of grey exist to the point to where his central eye is distinguishable from the outer originally white area. An aura of Light Energy surrounds him, and it seems to make his spines hover. Spines, or simply fur pushed up from the power of the aura that resembles spines, form down the outer areas of his arms and legs, lining them from about halfway down to his wrist. In this form, Maelic has complete control over his Light abilities, an ability to fly up to a few feet off the ground with the power of excess energy, and his power is unmatched by most any other lifeform. Little disadvantage exists, except for the fact that this form drains energy amazingly, and by the time he is finished using it, it is almost assured that he will faint. Death is also a possible, but rare, occurance. This form can easily take an entire lifetime to obtain and to master fully. Special Techniques/Attacks: Thunderclap - If Maelic claps his hands together with his Electro Gloves on, pressing the buttons on the Electro Gloves' straps, he can send forth a wave of electricity. The wave is extremely wide, but very thin. It can be easily dodged, but deals a great amount of damage if it connects. Shock Stream - Maelic slams his fists into the ground with the Electro Gloves on,shooting a stream of electricity across the ground, tearing up the floor and jumping to nearby enemies. The attack has great accuracy and wide range due to the fact that it can launch itself to nearby enemies, but doesn't deal too much damage. Electro Bolt - Using the power of his Electro Gloves, Maelic shoots a fist forward in the air, and pressing the buttons on his Electro Gloves, he releases a bolt of electricity that rockets at the enemy. This attack is very swift, but with little accuracy and average damage. Lightning Launch - Not much an attack, but a helpful technique. Maelic uses his Shock Boots to launch himself into the air. If it he happens to be above an enemy by any chance, it can deal slight damage. Light Bolt - A simple bolt of Light that Maelic can preform when he is ina state to where he can control Light in any fashion. It deals an average amount of damage, and is easy and quick to preform. Hero's Shield - A simple barrier of Light that protects Maelic from harm. It lasts only a few seconds. Shining Rockets - Maelic charges his hand with Light Energy and forms it into an orb. He disperses this orb into several bolts of Light Energy that hurl at the opponent. Each bolt is rather weak, but they can deal very signifigant damage all together. *All Heaven's Fury attacks require Light Form and amazing amounts of charging and energy.* Heaven's Fury: Light Pierce - A simple ramming attack, the Light Pierce was the first of the Heaven's Fury attacks and was previously the most powerful of all Heaven's Fury and Light Attacks before Heaven's Fury: Falling Star. The attack rams the enemy in the chest, and if the enemy is not killed at that point, it has an ability to infect the enemy with Light Energy, which will attempt to kill them from the inside. Heaven's Fury: Lightquake - An attack that channels Light Energy into the ground. The Light Energy rumbles and breaks the ground like an earthquake, and forms several working geysers of Light Energy as long as the attack is in effect. The attacks ends fairly quick, cancelling the geysers, but leaving the ground broken. Heaven's Fury: Hero's Arms - Maelic summons long tentacles of Light Energy from the ground that are infinately extendable and are manipulated by Maelic to attack his opponent. While using this, Maelic cannot be hurt, lose focus, or move. Otherwise, the attack will be cancelled. It lasts a decently long time. Heaven's Fury: Falling Star - Maelic summons a massive bolt of Light Energy from the skies above to smash into the ground. With unbelievable size and force, it can usually instantly kill an enemy, but has a good chance of draining Maelic to the point of his own death. This technique was developed by his father Ranuki, is the latest of the Heaven's Fury attacks, and is Maelic's most powerful attack. Attributes: Stats - Regular, With/Without Electro Gloves & Shock Boots --------- Speed - 5 Strength - 7 Defense - 8 Endurance - 9 Evasiveness - 3 Dexterity - 3 Intelligence - 10 Combat - 8 Magic/Healing/Elemental etc. - 2 Overall Points used: 55/55 Stats - Battle Armor --------- Speed - 2 Strength - 9 Defense - 10 Endurance - 10 Evasiveness - 2 Dexterity - 2 Intelligence - 10 Combat - 8 Magic/Healing/Elemental etc. - 2 Overall Points used: 55/55 History: Many years ago, a small hedgehog boy was born to mother Kamina the Hedgehog and father Ranuki the Hedgehog. Maelic began life as a normal child would, with a overly protective mother and a easy-going watchful and wise father. Maelic spent the first few months of his life as a blissful baby, forming a strong bond with both his parents. Suddenly, with little previous indication, Ranuki left the family for a little more than one and a half years to... "Train" with two people whom Maelic had never met - "Sialan and Sharru the Fox". Kamina begged Ranuki to stay, but he claimed that this was best for the family. Maelic was sadened by his missing father, and was unaware of the motives behind Ranuki's disappearance. Kamina seemed to know those motives, though... And it only made her even more sad. Kamina was depressed and cried almost non-stop for weeks after the event. She would have very emotional moments with Maelic that he never understood. Kamina became even more protective of the child after what had happened. Kamina had anticipated Ranuki's return on the day after Maelic's birthday. A letter in the mail from Ranuki himself had given her these thoughts. One of Maelic's first memories was on the day of his second birthday. After Maelic had recieved all of his birthday presents, Kamina had leaned down, stroked his hair, and told him something. "Maelic, baby... You have one more present this year that I think you're really gonna like... Even though you don't remember him, you're gonna meet your father tommorow." Kamina was proven wrong. Rnauki never came, and due to reasons unknown, Kamina never saw the love of her life again. She cried for months and months, but managed to keep it together in front of Maelic. Nonetheless, Maelic had walked in on her crying her eyes out in her bedroom countless times. Maelic usually felt bad after seeing his mother like this. Kamina was never the same as she was before. She was darker, more depressed. Yet, she still managed to pull the true goodness out of her heart, and treated Maelic better than she had ever before. Only months later, Kamina had recieved a letter in the mail from something called the "Light Warrior Organization." The crying began again, for even longer this time. Maelic adapted to it, and considered it something regular. As Maelic grew up alone with his mother, he had begun to realize that he was different. He had no family left but his mother... Something was completely different about him. He wasn't like all the other kids at school. Yet, Maelic was too young to realize just how different he really was... Through Maelic's years, Kamina had told Maelic tales of the wonderful Ranuki. Ranuki was apparently some type of mighty war hero, and a great man to boot. At age seven, Maelic and Kamina had embarked on a vacation in the summer to the beach. At the ever-crowded train station, a strange green hedgehog had approached Maelic and Kamina. He claimed to be Galifax, and being rudely forceful, he pulled Kamina away by the wrist to carry on a conversation with her. Yet, he did so in a casual manner where it seemed completely harmless and innocent. Unable to get Maelic in time, she yelled to Maelic to stay where he was on the benches until she returned. Maelic sat, thinking of the bad vibe that the hedgehog man had given him.... Hours passed. Nightfall came. Maelic had fallen asleep on the benches. He awoke in panic, realizing that his mother had yet to return. He used the house key he always kept in his pocket to return to his house and gather a multitude of supplies and his life savings in several plastic bags and his backpack. He journeyed through town, asking questions and looking where he could in search of his mother. After a few days as his supplies and money ran low, he crossed Northwood on the way to return to Southwood for more supplies... Or to somehow find a way to settle, as he had nearly given up all hope. Yet, in Northwood train station, he met a youngbat boy of the age six. The bat boy had unmeasurable people skills and common sense for a child his age, he invited Maelic to live with him. Maelic discovered that the bat boy had no remaining parents either, for some rather mysterious reasons that the boy had not developed much on, and got by on chores for the residents of his neighborhood in return for money and a promise to keep his secret of living without a guardian. The two sparked a friendship at the similarity of lacking parents, and Maelic moved in with the boy, whose name was Soar the Bat. Supported by the community, Maelic and Soar lived together and prospered. During their time together, they developed a strong bond, despite their somewhat vaying personalities. Unlikes Soar, Maelic had an interest in books and technology, and spent the majority of his time reading and tinkering with machines. Maelic soon became a genius and a pro at mechanics. Life was good, but Maelic couldn't help but think back to his previous life, and what secrets could lie beneath what happened... The story seemed more interesting as Maelic grew and his understanding developed. Later, th internet searches, Maelic uncovered some interesting data, but only small amounts of it. What he knew was this: For one, the government was involved. Secondly, Kamina spoke the truth - Ranuki was a true hero, in something called the "Sunlian War." Little else was known, except for the fact that the terms "Light Warrior" and "Light Warrior Organization" had something to do with it. The government shut all the sites down that related to this subject, and tis information he recieved was from search result previews. Maelic had almost given up hope on finding anything else, as every search engine through the years had brought him nothing new. Yet, one day, a walk in the park led him to finding a mysterious, glowing, purple shard of an odd jewel in the local lake. While Maelic was unaware of the importance of this gem, it would set him on a great adventure against the evils of the Shadows and Shadow Warriors in the very near future... This fragment was a fragment of the Sunlian Orb... ... ... |

What exactly do you mean by cookie cutter, Haro?  I don't know that term.Anyway, thanks you two. ^__^ I didn't wanna spoil the story, so the history is very cut and leaves a lot of mysteries. His story is much deeper than it appears, so I may decide to edit it and reveal more than I have. |

Cookie Cutter is like...I can't find the right words XD. Here's an example. My character is named Spazm the Hedgehog and he is super cool and he is the master of light and darkness hailing as the king of shadows. He can use Chaos Control and when he gathers the 7 --- Emeralds he becomes Super Spazm! That's a good example XD. He isn't cookie cutter to tell the truth, I just thought for a second he was made out to be the master of light. |

Lawlz, trust me, Seb is right, heh. Maelic is far from being all god-moddy or cookie cutter or whatever. The story is pretty deep, but Maelic's so tough because he has a direct connection to the creature that was the origin of Light Energy. But he's not god-moddy. He's got weaknesses that balance that out. =P But thankshu. ^__^ |

Yeah I realized that after re-reading it And its weird how both him and Haro have a direct relation to the origin of Light Energy and not just some spin off...
