I just felt the need to start this topic since they have so many fans. I played the first, too hard :/. The second was cool, third was pure win(I beat it too.) They're also making a Jak 4! I was about 3 seconds from crying when I saw this image...  And I'm not sure about this image, but looks like its real. If it is I'm getting it.  Edit: Actually some dude named Detsumaru made that RachetxJak one, but it still owns. IMO, Jak and Daxter is pretty much the Grand Theft Auto for fantasy gamers. I usually do the storymode, but the free mode in which you can take cars, ride around, own random people as Dark/Light Jack, and cry when the police come and chase you because they have uber guns and motorbikes. But still, I think its better than GTA. I believe in this so much that I actually need to get a PS3 just for this game. So yeah, discuss anything involving the series here. The Jak and Ratchet poster looks Ownage but i thought the second one was kinda hard,Jak 3 was pretty easy,Jak X was sometimes hard and easy in some races and the first one was kinda hard as well

No, its fake. Daxter has pants now, and Jak's hairstyle is the same from Jak 3. They change it every game. But its true, Jak and Daxters Lost Frontier has been patented by Naughty Dog recently, but how long it is until we see the actual game, who knows really. But all I can say is this, if its not out on the PS2 as well, then I'll honestly take a fit of rage. I've played all the games, and this is just about the greatest series I've ever played. |

Agreed. It has pretty much every aspect a great game that you can't get bored with has. It has a long story mode, freeroam, quests, missions, and customization to a point. I really love the series. Actually I'm going to go buy Jak 3 since I lost my other one(I have my completed game file saved :/) I'm also spriting a Jak 3 sprite for no reason. Also, does anyone know why Daxter never got to his human form? Edited by Haro, Aug 22 2008, 11:48 AM.

Sadly,ive only played(and beat)Jak 3,and i hate myself for not having money to get the other two,i REALLY wish both those posters where real,they pwn. |

Meh, Crash is a classic, so you can't really argue with it. However Spyro in no way beat Ratchet. Ratchet actually has a story(and a good one) with actual character development. Instead of a dragon occasionally saying something when he frees a dragon. As for Jak... I've never actually played one, sadly.  Except the PSP spin off, Daxter.Oh and Cap, it will be on PS3 if it's made. Naughty Dog has moved on to newer and better hardware. Making it for PS2 would just limit their abilities. |

Trust me, the PSP Spinoff is NOTHING compared to Jak 2-3. Also that poster's hair is a bit different from Jak 3 but not by much. And it isn't confirmed that his style always changes. Something just happens to him at the end of every game which causes it to change. *edited what changed them because of spoilers* Also Neo, you can play as Daxter in some cases, but when you do, he's pretty cool. I think his play may be like the PSP Spinoff. And for trivia, Daxter was originally human but Eco made him a furrie. >_> Edited by Haro, Aug 22 2008, 08:52 PM.

*anime fall* Holy crap...YES!!! i have waited and waited for a jak 4 and the latest one, jak x:combat racing wasn't the best. i cant wait and the jak and ratchet thing looks pretty cool. I have played the first one and got 95 power cells. i have never played the second one, and the third one was awesome. the light and dark modes were awesome. Too bad it's only for the ps3. o well. |

You've obviously never played Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage (Gateway to Glimmer in Europe) or Year of the Dragon have you? Those have a great story and wonderful character development.

You dissin' the classics?  I'm not sure if you're refering to Insomniac's Spyro, or 'The Legend of Spyro'. The former is made of win, the latter made of fail. |
