Cruisin' For Disaster: A Sonic Cruise/Shipwreck RP. Intro Hop aboard the Sonic Cruiseline, a new Cruise service dedicated to the great Sonic the Hedgehog! Beginning it's maiden voyage today, the Captain(who little does everyone know, is a certain evil Doctor) has invited a decent amount of people to join this luxury cruise. There are spacious rooms, a pool, a club/louge, 5-star dining, and many other commodities that are to die for. Only the select few with special tickets are allowed to join this dream vacation. But this cruise is destined for the disaster with the Captain. His plans are to crash land on an uncharted island, which is all part of his diabolical scheme... Rules 1) Fan Characters and Official Characters allowed (1 Official per person; first come, first serve) Fan Characters are free to begin their introductions into the storyline (but Officials will need clearance). 2) You may control when the crash happens. Standard RP rules. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [I'll be roleplaying as Jewel <basic information in my signature>. Archie/SEGA crossover by me to insue.] Jewel had returned to her home in Echidnapolis after being away near Station Square. She had been gone for countless months assisting a band of Freedom Fighters. Although she was still considered a rookie in their ranks and required more training, she had decided to return home for a while; homesickness finally kicking in. Jewel, at this time, had just opened the door to her room. It seemed untouched since the day she left, save the fact her mother must've come to clean the dust and dirt out every-so-often. Jewel eyed a soft aqua colored bed and immediately collapsed on it. She grasped the pillow and snuggled up to it, a big smile on her face. She was back home. There was a sudden knock on the door as her mother called from the other end, "Jewel, Kayla-lay and Taru-ka are waiting for you." "I'll be right there" Jewel replied, sitting up. Footsteps echoed down the hallway; her mother was most likely going to check up on her younger siblings. Jewel left her room and made he way to the front door, her friends usually sat on the steps outside until she arrived. Outside sat a male and female echidna, both around her age. An orange echidna with a red bandana on his head, greeted her. "Hello my Amoure, I've missed you." he said, gazing at her. "Jewel, I've missed you!" a tan echidna chimed. After readjusted her glasses and fixing her dreadlocks that were tied in a bun, she sat up and greeted Jewel with open arms. "I like that lavendar dress Kayla-lay." Jewel said, giving her friends a hug. She seemed to have ignored what Taru-ka had said and went to check the mail box. "Let me grab the mail before we go." she said. Jewel opened the hatch to the box and sifted through the mail really quick, pausing at a colorful ocean themed letter addressed to her. Her friends crowded around her to look at the letter, just as curious. Jewel opened the letter and pulled out a letter which read: "Dear Jewel Amoure, You have been specially selected to join us for our maiden voyage at Sonic Cruiselines, a new cruise dedicated to Sonic the Hedgehog. We want you to join our celebration and join us for an exclusive 7 day cruise. Enclosed is the ticket you will need to show to board the ship. Please do not lose it. Sonic Cruiselines "A cruise dedicated to that Sonic the Hedgehog?" Taru-ka questioned. He grabbed the letter from her to read it. "Don't just stand there Jewel, we should get you packed!" Kayla-lay exclaimed. "But, I wanted to spend my time with you guys!" Jewel cried; Kayla-lay pushed Jewel back into the house. |

((I would like to know a few things. Would i be able to join with one of my dragons in their youngest age. Like when they have just popped out from their eggs. If not, then i consider using female fox named Feona. And also if no one else objects i would like to use Knuckles in this scenario when their act of play begins that is. But first the question.)) |

(I'll join with Shadow The Hedgehog, and my fancharacter, Tulipa.) Shadow was on the streets in the Crystalline City, when an envelope slapped him in the face. He fell down. "Damnit!" Said Shadow. He grabbed the paper, and it was an invitation to A cruise dedicated to Sonic. "That blue hedgehog again? Grr....." Said Shadow, looking angry. He was about to rip the paper, when his wife, Tulipa, kissed him. She had walked all the way from their nice home to get him. Shadow looked back at Tulipa, looking nervous. He slowly chuckled and gave the paper to her. She read it,. When she got to the cruise part, she smiled and her eyes widened. Tulipa grabbed Shadow's arm and started running away with him. The streets were filled with cars, and there was a traffic jam. The cruise ship was on the other side of the crystal town. They both jumped on top of the cars, breaking them. At last, they got to the ground, but the tile was cement. Tulipa gave a look of disgust. Shadow grabbed her arm and got out of the icky cement. The pavement was horrible there, and all the apartments were abandoned. The windows were half broken, and there was dirty litter all over the streets. There were always fights and gunshots heard outside your window, that is, if you still had one. The streets were usually filled with traffic. They eventually made it to the harbor of the city. Tulipa walked up the metal walkway up to the cruise ship, but Shadow just grinded on the rails. They were on the side of the Metal Walkway, though, so it was dangerous. Shadow got to the top of the cruise ship first, and he just unfolded one of the chairs. They were white with blue stripes. He sat on one, looking at the ocean. All he could see was saltwater. Tulipa followed him and did the same. They both sat together, with their hand in each others hands. |

You may also use Knuckles. ===================================================================== Jewel had been seated into a chair with a couple suitcases lined at her feet. She stared over at her friend, Kayla-lay, who was rummaging through clothes in her drawers and closet. Jewel then turned her attention to Taru-ka, who seemed displeased at the letter. He sat on her bed, continuously skimming through the letter. "And this would be perfect to wear for dinner." Kayla-lay said, holding a formal baby blue dress against her body, "Cruises always have the habit of making you dress formal for dinner." She folded the dress and placed it into a suitcase. "Taru, what's wrong?" Jewel asked, slightly concerned. "He's probably jealous that you're the only one that gets to go." Kayla-lay said. "I bet he can't stand the thought of you being a 7 day cruise without him, with some guys..." She paused and looked over at Taru-ka, hoping she was right. Taru-ka had always considered that he and Jewel had a special friendship, ever since a childhood promise to get married. Taru-ka shook his head and folded the paper. He stood up and placed the letter in Jewel's hands. "You have a good time on the cruise." Taru-ka said, with a forced smile. He stared down at Jewel for a good few minutes, clasping both her hands before finally walking off. Taru-ka opened the door to her room and left. Jewel blinked a few times, puzzled by this set of events. "Maybe I shouldn't go, after all, I wanted to spend time with you guys." she frowned, "I've been away for all these months... I finally get back and before I get to spen-" Kayla-lay zipped up a suit case and set it on the bed. She turned and waved a finger, "Relax Jewel, you need a vacation and a cruise is just that. Besides, a cruise, and a free one at that, shouldn't be passed up!" Kayla-lay opened the door and motioned for Jewel to follow, "Now let's get you to that cruise ship." Jewel sighed and nodded. ***** Jewel lugged the suitcase she had over to the entrance to the ship. She held out her ticket to a man who let her on board. The man told her a room number and called for a bag boy to pick it up. Jewel entered the ship and wandered around the top deck, looking at the various other passengers that were given exclusive tickets. |

(If i am correct we won't be able to use official until you say so. Anyway thanks for letting me use my dragon.^^) --------------------------------------------------------- By the fishing market stands nearby there would appear an great attraction causing several villagers surrounding a small creature who would only stand as a mere myth. Hands clapping together while kids yelling out. "It's a dragon mom, it's a dragon." But they wouldn't let them get to close since what knows how a baby dragon would react on children abusing their allowance. The dragon had other intentions passing down the dockside then entertaining children even if almost every little glance of wings spread out, legs stretched out, mouth yawning, and tail swinging from side to side as he pushed forwards through the crowds backing away from his original path. He wouldn't find the momentary popularity annoying, but he had to make careful steps with overprotecting parents holding around fishes folded into paper almost prepared to use as a defensive weapon. Ahead of him lied the destination who would soon about to enter and leaving the masses of citizens that would have been given the chance to look on a mere child dragon almost just cracked out from it's shell, but enough with knowledge to understand each word spread out from the crowds even if it was flowing repetitive and quite abolished of his own interest. The ship attendant taking care of tickets would soon be delivered from the dragon. "Now who might you be, the attendant asked almost surprised by the approach of what would stand as quite the peculiar invited one. Yet he held out his hand, not letting him pass through. Rules would be followed and tickets must be swapped before entrance would be allowed. "Are you sure this is the right spot for you." He asked almost embarrassed speaking with the animal as if he had turned crazy. But with a most surprising event caused him almost to drop his mouth. The dragon wouldn't know how to neglect with the attendant and captain at first. But he knew what action would suit his priority. He had been keeping the ticket in his mouth for the duration while venturing towards his destination. Of course what could he suspect. The dragon spit forth the letter with the rightful passage on deck. Of course it was all soaked from the saliva and water filling into his mouth. But the moment it lied on the ground, he would carry out his first words in human language. "I am sorry for the inconvenience but i had no other transport or any caddy to carry it for me." The dragon now waiting for approval to enter. Holding carefully onto the letter as if not tear it apart since water and paper would apparently stay close enemies. The letter explains his request on walking onto the cruise ship. "Warzak! You have been hear by invited on a seven days cruise along with some familiar faces. I would like you to meet up by the nearest dock at 9AM in the morning. Make sure you won't get late." Taking his eyes of the letter after able to find the words appealing with the appearance he left him with only one more question. "You are Waraz ain't you. The dragon just nods slightly before the attendant letting him pass through. With the number of his room. |

((Apologies for not being here, but I was at my relatives. You may start using the official character Dragonflame.)) ===================================================================== Jewel had began looking around the cruise ship; taking in the dining and activities. The boat still wasn't to full capacity it seemed and only a few other people seemed to be aboard. Not to mention, due to the fact she had luggage, the room wasn't ready for her. It was amazing how there seemed to be so few people, yet she couldn't check into her room because there were many items to sort through. Jewel decided to go below deck to explore what places she could shop at, where dinner was, where the club was, etc. Jewel walked down one of the walkways and sighed, staring over the railing. This was the center of the ship and was shaped in a circular type shape, gazing down at a water fountain with a few cherubs (from the looks of it). She went into deep thought about why she even boarded this ship. Kayla-lay had pushed her into it and she was so excited over the thought, but for Taru-ka... well he didn't seem to like it one bit. Was it truly because of his, erm, feelings for Jewel? Or was something about this cruise not-- "Excuse me ma'am" a voice called out. Jewel blinked a few times and turned to see a man in a white uniform. "Y-Yes?" she asked. "I'm sorry, but it was requested you return to the higher decks, we are busy working on getting the ship ready. Please chat with the guests and explore the ship later, after we've set sail." he said in a monotonous tone. "Oh, okay." Jewel nodded. She left to the staircase to the top deck. |

(May I join with Timothy Ulysses and Rachel Harding?) "I can't believe we're actually on a cruise liner!" Rachel gasped happily, "The sea air, the bright sun, the great atmosphere..." The fox sighed and flung herself into a deck chair excitedly. "It is great to have a break from the usual hectic lifestyle, I guess," Tim agreed, shrugging off his coat, "Although it is rather warm... whew..." He looked out at the ocean and chuckled inwardly; he hadn't seen Rachel this happy since their reunion. What a stroke of luck that invitation was... a free cruise straight out of the blue... A stroke of luck indeed... Tim was not one to believe in luck or coincidences. He was a firm supporter of fate and 'everything happens for a reason'. And it was at this point in time that he began to wonder what the reason behind that invite was... "Hey Tim! Let's go check the ship out!" Warzak Already settled by placing his feet firmly onto the ship's structured floor almost feeling the breeze passing through his nostrils while standing on his hind legs watching towards the horizon as if this cruise would be delighted. Voices echoed from the entrance and by a quick turnaround with his head, he noticed two travelers that would be to accompany on this journey. Before looking towards the ocean again sending a momentary light's touching the small waves sweeping into the dockside. Harmful yet with enough spark. Enough watching he would have enough time to set his eyes upon the water later. For now he would just walk around, suiting the socialized state and hospitality of this so called crew they had inhabiting the boat. As much he had been given a room on the lower deck, he would actually feel it more suiting his appeal by sleeping outside with the stars and moon showing it's pride. But it could be useful if the rain would consider showing up. Passing by the staircase down towards the lower deck he noticed a girl heading upstairs. He decided to wait for a second as if she would like some company while exploring the ship. The matter of ignorance would if she wouldn't notice his presence. He didn't said a word, just acting in the animal way he found suiting. |

((Wasn't you suppose to continue. Anyway, don't want this to die so early. Just creating an action with Knuckles in the meanwhile.)) Knuckles Angel island as he referred as his only home protecting his precious master emerald would now have to be under his watchful eyes in the distance. What if the evil sinister professor would reach out with his filthy hands clutching it from his surveillance. The evil plot just sickened him as he passed down the gravel road ditching a few rocks kicking them from it's presence. By the expression, it could almost leave the opposite user, with any moment, he could snap and send his knuckles towards a wall, or anything he would suit fitting for his demands. The boat that he would alone carry with some presently not of his interest citizens in some distinct cruise with no real destination. He would soon find out what awaited him though. |

((Sure you may join, and you can be Rouge.)) Jewel walked up the staircase, opposite from the one she originally took to get down here, but it still lead up to the top deck. As she neared the top she couldn't but notice a couple people ready to climb down the stairwell. "Oh, I'm sorry, a crewman said they didn't want anyone going below deck yet. They're still busy getting the ship ready." she said. Ready for what? Jewel continued to wonder. You'd expect a ship that was expecting to set sail to have certain things finished, except storing bags and people's belongings (maybe), the night before. There were a lot of things on Jewel's mind though and the more she thought about them, the more she wondered why she let herself be dragged here. Edited by SuperShadowgal, Jul 24 2008, 02:33 PM.

Rouge had not boarded the ship yet but was looking at the outside not knowing who would join. "I wonder why they dedicated this ship to Sonic." She looked at the outside. "Nice, though. Have to give credsit to the captain." She flew up to get a better look but bumped into Saturn. "Uh! Hey, watch where you're going!" Saturn jumped back a few feet. "My bad." Rouge smirked sarcastically. |

Warzak Hmm she didn't even flinch with her eyes. An interesting personality to watch careful about. He noticed she mentioned about they still carry on with maintaining the lower deck making it ready before pulling of ropes around the nearby polls. Yet some hadn't even made their entrance yet. He couldn't pursue her own will and there for wish not to disturb. The dragon continues following the ship's right side, looking above the edge into the deep blue ocean. Would he be delighted carrying along with these furries and humans. A male approached in haste and apparently his request would be Warzak moving out of the way since he didn't seem to stop running. He could only find one option and raised onto his hind legs standing with two legs before attempting to lean against the rail. But he wasn't quick enough to pull his tail away and the clumsy human managed to trip over with his face first, just barely managed to avoid the disgrace with his hands. Yet he yelled in agony as if he had been pushed over. "Excuse me, do you know who i am." About to get onto his feet, looking straight into Warzak's eyes that followed his every movement. "A dragon?" the male burst out. "You should stay beneath the cellar floor with the other animals." Warzak didn't like the attitude and snared back showing his teeth, but that would only provoke him even further. "One more of those creature and i make sure they throw you off board." The dragon wished not to put him in danger. After all he had been invited by some mysterious unknown writer. With his eyes looking away from the male, before curving with his tail between his hind legs. The sight of his pride had been mocked away and treated like if he were just a puppet dog unable to control his own actions. He would just tend to ignore the human and continue following the right line. "That's it, you should know your place is not up here along with people. I shall make sure you get taken down were you belong." He carried on forth with the dragon watching his progress. He wished to act, but it would only make it worse. But what could be a cruise with great atmosphere would appear be his own nightmare. Knuckles Stopped abruptly in his path. Finding a familiar face heading on the ship. "Rouge?" The red echidna sworn that crossing paths with the bat once more would leave him in his own depression. Could she not have picked another boat. But apparently she were to busy noticing his arrival. Maybe for it's own good. He walked towards the plank about to head upstairs to the ship. "You have the ticket sir" The attendant asked as if he didn't knew who Knuckles would be. "Your kidding me right. All know Sonic, but no one have heard of me. Typical. Passing through i have a boat to catch. And here is your ticket." Handing it over with as little appreciation he could find fortunate. What am i suppose to do gaining a little of reputation amongst the people. "Hmph!" Before he could finally make sure he wasn't going to be left out. |

(I am joining with Esperanza, and Escudo because I am bored) "Escudo, it is going to be your fault if we miss this chance of entering this curse" Spoke Esperanza, the pink cat that is always in the love of music, it was a bright morning, and there she was, walking down from the road that will lead them toward the curse that they were able to enter for free. She has never been to a cruise before, so this was going to become a great experience for her, but Escudo in the other hand didn't seem so excited what so ever. He was just to busy reading one of those books that he spends hours on reading, Unforunatly he had no choice but to get inside this ship because Esperanza wanted him to go so badly. She couldn't bring Soto along because he was on a long mission far away from this place, and he won't be coming back any time soon, leaving Escudo as the only one left for Esperanza to chose. He really had nothing to do in the office anyway since Soto took over the latest mission, there was no one calling, or giving messages to Escudo about a mission that he can get into. It has been 3 days, and Escudo was able to finally find out that it was getting boring which left him no choice but to just get to this ship, and relax. "Escudo! hey look up there" Esperanza said, looking at some type of flag above the trees. "That has to be the ship" She followed, walking a bit faster, while having her right index finger, pointing at the flag that was now viewable from the distance that they were in at the moment. Escudo really had no time to play any attention to pathic stuff like that, he was more interested in his book nothing else. After a few minutes of walking, the two were able to finally able to see the whole intire ship from the outside "Yep, this is the ship that repenest the great hero, Sonic" Said the pink cat, looking at how big this ship is. Escudo realsed a sigh from his mouth, trying to let go the hot air that was trapped dinside from hearing what she just said. "I never heard of him before" Spoke the white hedgehog, as Esperanza nodded, looking back at Escudo "Me either, that name is to... well ew, but I don't care this is free after all, so let us get this over with" She spoke, walking ahead from Escudo, as he followed her till they reached toward this young male with a uniform, blocking the entrance to the ship, Esperanza looked at him until he began to speak toward her. "I will need your ticket" He said to her. "Oh, here you go, one for me, and the silent reader" She said, glancing at Escudo, as she gave what the man requested her to take out. Right when he got them, he looked at her hairstyle that she had, and also the guitar that was on her back. "A-A-are you the rock queen?" He asked in a shocking look, hoping that will saw yes. "Eh? oh wow, another fan" "Wow! so you are her, can you please do me a favor?" "To play a song, right? figures, fine I will think about it" She said, entering the ship, as Escudo did the same, but without saying nothing to no one at all. OOC: Short XP |

Leaning on a nearby rail, Tim breathed a sigh of impatience; surely the boat should be moving by now... there was no announcement of problems or delays, which was curious. "Maybe I'm just paranoid," he muttered to himself, "But there's something awfully fishy about this entire situation." He smiled and added, "And I'm not talking about the local fauna either, haha..." Rachel crept up behind him and quickly put her hands across his eyes. "Tim, are you talking to yourself again?" she laughed. "If I say 'yes', will I have to see a psychologist?" Tim replied, stifling a smile. "Yes, but all that means is that you'll have to look in a mirror." The pair laughed at the joke and Rachel withdrew her hands. "The problem is," Tim sighed again, "Is that there's just... something troubling me about this whole setup. Aaah, it's probably nothing." He waved his hand noncommitantly, but Rachel caught it and gave the parapsychologist a serious look. "Tim, I'd follow your hunches to the ends of the earth. If you say there's something strange going on, I b- whoa..." Rachel blinked and seemed to be a bit off balance for a second. Tim's expression became concerned. "Are you alright? Don't tell me you've gotten sick!" "No no," Rachel said, rubbing her temple, "I just got a really wierd tingling in my head for a second thre, that's all..." Little did they know that this 'tingling' was Rachel's subconcious 'disaster sense' in action... |

Jewel could tell the boat was filling up fast now as it took her a decent couple of minutes to reach the railings of the ship. The deck wasn't extremely cramped, but it did take some manuevering here and there. She stared over at the harbor, where they would soon depart. People down below were in line, still trying to board. Suddenly, a little jingle chimed from up above. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the maiden voyage of Sonic Cruiselines! This is your captain speaking, Captain <pause> Ivan. I'm so glad all of you could make it to this special event, honoring our <pause> favorite blue hero, Sonic. <clearing throat> You'll have to excuse me, I fear I may be coming down with a cold. Tonight at 6:00 we will be having dinner, dancing, and entertainment in the main dining room. I will be down there as soon as possible to greet guests and have the crew acquaint themselves. The menus for what will be server tonight and the throughout the week are posted at the main dining room and we will be giving pamphlets to you, which are in your room. This dinner is mandatory for everyone, although you may eat at the other dining areas if you like what they're serving throughout the rest of the week. Don't forget, if you're hungry and want lunch or brunch, our two restaurants on the two lower decks before us will be open. We have a salad bar, sandwiches, pizza, and asian-style food today. The area serving breakfast has pancakes, waffles, french toast, as well as bagels and muffins. This is your Captain signing off for the morning announcements, please feel free to move about the entire ship now. <chuckle> You may also leave to your rooms now." A jingle finished the announcement. Jewel turned and watched as many of the people crowded on top flooded the staircases to the lower decks. "So now they let us go below deck?" she questioned. |

Saturn shrugged. "Might as well go see my room." She went to the main deck and asked for her room key. Rouge did the same. "Why does that name "Ivan" Sound familiar?" Rouge asked herself. She took her room key and went to the deck that had her room. "Here we go." She turned the key and the door opened. |
